He is a very personable guy, and his prices were very good; however the quality was initially not what we expected. The tiles were visibly crooked in numerous places after they were set, and we were the ones who had to point this out to him. . Once we pointed it out, he did pull out the crooked tiles and reset them. It's possible that the reason this happened was he did not have experience in hanging the type of tile we selected (glass) However; my expectation was that straight tiles would be a given. In the end, the job was completed to our satisfaction. If you use him, just watch carefully throughout the process and ask how much experience he has with your materials.

He was very clean, very neat and very tidy. He was very good at his job and he cleaned up at the end of every day. He arrived on time and did an excellent job. I would recommend him to anyone else that needs tile work.

In June 2009 he was called to examine scratches on floor and determine if repair could be made or if tile needed to be replaced. He offered to try a couple of cleaning/polishing options first, and I decided to wait until other remodeling was done before calling him back. In January 2010 an appointment was made which he missed. After calling him again, he was very apologetic and subsequently arrived the next day. His suggestion was to thoroughly clean the tile and apply a single coat of polish solution he had found to see what affect it might have. He completed this on hands and knees and it produced a miraculous outcome. While the worst of the scratches could still be seen, the coat of polish made them barely visible and I opted for two more coats which made the scratches even less noticeable. This was done over 2-3 days for complete drying between coats. He worked very efficiently, and was extremely personable and informative.

It took some time for the tile order to arrive, and a bit of time after that for Luis to actually begin the work. However, once he got started, the work moved ahead quickly. The designer had created a unique look for the backsplash, and Luis met with her before the tile was ordered to ensure he understood the design--and so the correct amount of tile could be ordered. From start to finish, the project took four days. Luis ran late a couple days--but only because he was balancing multiple jobs at the time. He's a young, talented and energetic craftsman & artisan. We'll call on him again.
