TEMPCO HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING

Horrific experience with this company. Installed an air conditioner for me 5/2014. Problems beginning last year with leaks which they were unable to locate. Instead of fixing the problem, they filled the unit up with coolant and low and behold I had the exact same problem this year. Although they were responsive when I called and cane out in a timely fashion, they performed numerous tests coming out multiple times to try and locate where the leak was coming from and were unsuccessful. Their customer service on the phone when I would call was poor. They would say someone would call me back and they wouldn’t . I finally had to ask them not to come out anymore as I had lost faith that they had any clue of what they were even doing. I hired another company to completely replace the unit TempCo had installed. They found “man made” damage to the evaporator coil. That was the source of the leak. When I reached out to TempCo with photos and a letter explaining this, they failed to respond. I called two weeks later and was told someone would get back to me....never happened. I finally had no choice but to file a complaint with the BBB. TempCo’s response to them was that they never installed the evaporator coil. And clearly they never assessed it either or they would have found where the leak of coolant was from. As a consumer, I guess I assumed that when you install central AC, you replace all parts of it, not just the piece outside. At the very least I would’ve thought they would ASSESS the coil. I have zero faith in this company. Though I gave them 3 weeks to try and fix the problem before giving my business to someone else, they weren’t competent enough to find the problem and now have passed the blame off. I would stay far far away from this company if you value honest and reliable work.
