Description of Work: Provider responded to phone call and questioned me briefly about the problem. Was able to direct me to problem (tripped fuse that did not look tripped.) He saved me a trip and service charge. I will definitely be using him again.

+ -1 moreGreat. It took less than an hour for him to install the part. It protects my house from a power surge/lightening strike. I started looking at all the digital equipment I have and knew I needed to do something to protect my investment: TV's, refrigerator, range, toaster oven, microwave, computer, printer and phone system. He recommended installing a second layer of surge protection at each appliance. It's done now and I am relieved.
Description of Work: He installed whole house surge protection to protect my digital appliances and computer.

Description of Work: a full electrical inspection and provided an estimate to have all of the electrical completely overhauled in my home including bringing it up to code from 50A service to 220A.

+ -1 moreWe called other, larger businesses, but they were unable to send anyone on the day we called. However, on the recommendation of one of the larger outfits, we called Sparks. It was a good move. Our tenant's outlet had sparked badly (due to an overload using an ungrounded extension cord), tripping the circuit breaker and leaving flash marks on and near the outlet. We were concerned that the outlet or wiring might have been damaged. Gary came out the same day we called and checked everything for us (it was okay) and cleaned up the flash marks. He worked quickly and finished in just a few minutes, then was even willing to check a malfunctioning light fixture in our refrigerator. He fixed that too. Everything was done in 15 minutes, which is important since he charges by the 1/4 hour. He left everything neat and clean and working. He was very professional and friendly to talk with. He just became our and quot;go-toand quot; guy.
Description of Work: Checked a possible dangerous outlet/wiring. Cleaned flash marks. Repaired refrigerator light fixture problem.
