this was an insurance resolution. the adjuster told us what we should do and what needed to be done. we were extremely happy with them as we thought they would just go for a patch job. the insurance company told us since we had an open concept floor plan all floors and walls needed to be refinished and painted. not to accept any less from any provider. they also stated we would have to move out for appx 2 wks while the work was completed to our satisfaction. we spoke and got estimates from floor people including the original installer; individual painters, and finally movers. although we felt the work would be good with all snider offered to handle the complete job. they quoted the entire job in detail. they informed us that their people would be doing the drywall and painting. they would hire the subs for moving and flooring. they also stated that the floor had sections that needed to be replaced with new and then the entire floor refinished. they stated who the subs were and stood behind everything. they would work with our schedule. We could not have asked for anything more. they generaled the entire job. they coordinated everything down to the minute. they resolved the few minor issues that came up. i as a business person tend to ask a million questions and make sure to dot the i's and cross the t's. they were agreeable and patient. work was beyond approach.

We bid a number of companies, but ultimately chose Snider due to their level of service, price, and ability to put us on the schedule quickly. All-in-all we love the new look of our home and would definitely recommend Snider. Ask for Eli as your foreman!

I contacted Snider Services because of the many positive reports on Angies List. I called them in early July of 2008 and showed them some exterior painting and staining I needed done. I informed them I needed part of the job completed in the next two weeks but that the remainder of the job could wait till later in the summer if need be. They did complete the work I needed done immediately. After several weeks I contacted them to see when they would come to complete the rest of the work. We scheduled a time. They completed the work but I was not happy with the quality as some of the work needed a second coat. I called and talked to the supervisor who arranged to come and talk with us about our concerns. On the day that was scheduled my wife came home from work during a lunch break to meet with him and was instead met by one of the painters who said he was there to complete the work. After my wife told him that she didn't have enough time to stay while he completed the work, he was rude to her and told her it wouldn't take long and that he was just going to do it. A few weeks later I received a bill for the agreed upon amount but didn't think that the last of the work was yet completed. (A wrought iron railing) We were infomred it had been painted. I didn't think it had been touched as there was still several rust spots on it, I asked them to come out and paint the rest of the spots. I marked all of the spots with masking tape so they wouldn't miss any. A few more weeks went by and the weather became too cold to paint and I was told I would need to wait till 2009. I paid for all of the work except for the railing. I called in May of 2009 to ask them when they could come out to meet with me about the railing and and to express some concern about some peeling paint from their work in 2008. They informed me they would call me back to set up a time to meet with me. I was out out of town for a few days in mid June and when I came back I found the railing had been painted in my absence. I was happy that the railing was painted but dissappointed that I didn't get the opportunity to discuss the poor work that was completed the year before.

They did the sanding. They replaced rotted wood in the sills. They covered the shrubbery so paint wouldn't get on them. They did a great job. They cleaned up well.

I collected 3 bids and had a follow up phone call before deciding to go with this company. They were the middle bid price-wise and could explain what paint products would be useful with my less-than-pristine stucco. They were realistic in their estimate of when in the season they would do the painting and they were flexible about budgeting around my priorities (I wanted to complete the stucco this year and save the wood trim and its budget for the next summer). The 3-person crew worked two solid days, kept me informed, responded to my requests and cleaned up before they left. The crew chief was alert to my concerns and easy to work with, and the crew appeared to be hard-working experienced professionals. The house looks fresh again.

My experience with them has been so far so good. They are prompt in returning calls. They are willing to answer all of my questions. They are going to do walls ceilings rooms and the exterior.

Jaime from Snider and Company Services came to estimate the work to strip paint from wood, sand and seal the trim on the front entryway and garage door. Due to the nature of the work (unknown level of difficulty to remove each prior layer of paint) he quoted $45/per hour and estimated it would likely take two days. Although I decided not to have the work done, I was very pleased with the professionalism and service. Jaime noted a section where the wood needed to be repaired/patched and also that the trim was actually sections of attached hardwood which could be replaced as needed rather than refinishing.

I felt comfortable, and when I had questions afterward, he answered them for me. He was courteous, very professional, and definitely on time. He was very good on the phone and completely willing to answer all of my questions.

The staff was professional, kept the work area clean and left with us the remaining paint. The price was fair and less than several other quotes we obtained. They were about a week behind projected scheduled but it was understandable with all the rain that we had in the area. We would used them again.

Mr. Garcia returned my call promptly. He provided a detailed written estimate listing all the work to be done and the scope of the job. He also provided the brand of paint that would be used. I would definitely use Snider Painting for any paint jobs in the future. Their painters Michael and Blas were prompt and professional. They kept me informed of the progress of the work and they completed the work in the time frame agreed upon.

I'm disappointed in this company, especially since they got such good reviews here. They were supposed to start in July, and we've signed the contract with them in June but I get nothing other than excuses from them. So far we've had two false starts and have made plans to be out of the house while they were working, but big jobs apparently take precedence and they've cancelled on us several times. I think they overschedule and overcommit. I will not use them again.

They were polite. When the rooms dried we noticed that some of the painting was on the woodwork, and where the walls meet the ceiling, this was done free hand. So it was a straight line. We had to hire yet another painter to come and fix the problem.

Overall this company did a good job of communicating with us, gave a bid very promptly. There was a bit of confusion on the start date due to weather delays (owner gave me one date, foreman gave me another, later date). They did a test patch on our house so that we could be sure that the color was what we had chosen, and completed job was well done, including clean up of the job site. The first crew of painters were a bit slow, left the job site early, however the second crew that came in was great, the foreman kept me updated with the work progress and checked in regularly to see if things were satisfactory for us. Barry Snider, the owner, was great to work with as well.

He told me they couldnt beat the estimates, but that he would check into it and get back to me. That was over a week ago, and I havent heard back from them. In their contract, it says in bold print that they will meet any other contractors bid.

I would consider using them for other work in the future-- got quotes for exterior future work.

The work on the porch and most windows were done well. The workers were courteous and professional. The windows that had to be remade were sent out to a separate carpenter. This took several months to be completed.

PAINTERS DID ALL WORK AS PROMISED AND WERE POLITE, COURTEOUS, AND PROFESSIONAL. THE WORK TOOK LONGER THAN STATED DUE TO MANY RAINY DAYS. THE PRICE SEEMED A LITTLE HIGH TO US BUT ENDED UP BEING IN LINE WITH OTHER ESTIMATES WE RECEIVED.

TEAM OF 3 ARRIVED AT OR NEAR 8 AM, WORKED EFFICIENTLY AND ASKED FOR INPUT ON DETAILS AS NEEDED. THE SUPERVISOR DID A GOOD JOB OF SELECTING A TYPE OF PAINT FOR THE SHUTTERS THAT MADE THEM LOOK GOOD WHILE AT THE SAME TIME NOT MAKING THE OLD SIDING LOOK WORN BY CONTRAST. I DIDN'T THOROUGHLY EXAMINE ALL THE WINDOWS BEFORE THE JOB WAS COMPLETE AND LATER NOTED THAT SOME PAINT STROKES HAD LAPPED ONTO THE GLASS PANES ON SOME WINDOWS. THEY HAD STATED THEY WERE WILLING TO COME BACK IF I NOTICED SPOTS WHERE TOUCH UP NEEDED TO BE DONE. BUT SINCE THE WINDOW WASHERS SCRAPED OFF THE PAINT A COUPLE DAYS LATER, I DIDN'T CALL THEM BACK. ALSO, I DON'T KNOW ABOUT TYPES OF PAINT AND DIDN'T CONSIDER THE MATTER UNTIL THE SUPERVISOR ASKED ME ON THE FIRST MORNING WHAT KIND OF PAINT I WANTED. I HAD NO IDEA. MAYBE GETTING THE QUESTION BEFORE THAT DAY WOULD HAVE BEEN USEFUL. NEVERTHELESS, THE SUPERVISOR GAVE ME SUFFICIENT INPUT AT THAT POINT FOR ME TO MAKE A DECISION THAT I'M HAPPY WITH.

I WAS VERY HAPPY WITH THE WORK. ON TIME EVERY DAY, 3-5 GUYS FOR 5 DAYS. FAIR PRICE, VERY PROFESSIONAL. ADDITIONAL COST FOR CARPENTRY WORK, WHICH WAS SPELLED OUT IN THE CONTRACT.

FROM OUR FIRST PHONE CALL TO COMPLETION OF THE PROJECT, SNIDER and CO. WERE TRUE PROFESSIONALS. THEIR PAINTING CREW HIT THE GROUND RUNNING AND NEVER STOPPED. THEY WERE PROMPT, KNOWLEDGEABLE, COURTEOUS AND THOROUGH.

I HAD A REQUEST IN TO THEM FOR WALLPAPERING AND FLOORING ESTIMATES. THEY HAD SOMEONE COME OVER AND ESTIMATE THE WALLPAPERING JOB ONLY AND SAID THEY WOULD HAVE SOMEONE GET BACK TO ME ON THE FLOORING ISSUES. I RECEIVED ANOTHER CALL AND SET AN APPOINTMENT FOR THE FLOORING ESTIMATE. HE CALLED THE DAY OF THE APPOINTMENT ASKING TO RESCHEDULE THE APPOINTMENT BECAUSE HE WAS RUNNING LATE ON ANOTHER PROJECT. HE SAID HE WOULD CALL BACK THE FOLLOWING MONDAY TO RESCHEDULE. IT'S NOW THREE WEEKS AFTER THAT TIME HE PROMISED TO CALL. (I ALSO NOTE THAT THE WALLPAPERING ESTIMATE WAS VERY HIGH).

RETURNED THE COST ESTIMATE ( $3000) PROMPTLY AND THEN RESPONDED QUICKLY TO A CHANGE IN PLAN REQUEST WITH A NEW ESTIMATE. I DIDN'T CHOOSE THIS COMPANY, BUT IT WAS A CLOSE CALL, AND I THINK THAT THEY WOULD HAVE DONE A GOOD JOB.

JOHN AND HIS PAINTING CREW WERE ALWAYS ON TIME, ALWAYS PLEASANT AND FUNNY...THEY ALWAYS SEEMED TO GO OUT OF THEIR WAY TO BE NICE TO MY DOGS, WHICH I REALLY APPRECIATED. THEY ALWAYS ASKED IF I HAD QUESTIONS, AND EXPLAINED THEIR PLAN FOR THE DAY...JIM THE ''FLOOR GUY'' AND HIS WIFE ROSE...WENT BEYOND WHAT I EXPECTED. THEY SANDED THE UGLY DOG STAINS SO WELL, WE DID NOT HAVE TO REPLACE WOOD FLOORING LIKE WE THOUGHT WE MIGHT HAVE TO...HE DID AN EXCELLENT JOB! ACTUALLY SAVED US SOME MONEY...WE COULD NOT BE HAPPIER WITH OUR RESULTS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. I WILL HIRE THEM IN THE SPRING FOR OUR OUTSIDE PAINTING! :) THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE EVER LEFT ''WORKERS'' ALONE IN MY HOUSE. WHEN I LEFT FOR WORK, IT WAS VERY UNEASY FOR ME AT FIRST...JOHN AND HIS CREW/AND THEN JIM AND ROSE MADE ME FEEL AT EASE WITH LEAVING THEM WITH MY HOME IN THEIR HANDS. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM HANDS DOWN!

THE PAINTING WORK WAS PERFORMED GOOD, BUT THE CAULKING WORK WAS NOT DONE WELL. WE HAD TO CALL THEM BACK TO GET IT FIXED. THE INITIAL RESPONSE FROM THE OFFICE WAS NOT POLITE. THE RESPONSE WAS MORE POSITIVE AFTER I TOLD THEM THAT I AM AN ANGIE'S LIST MEMBER. EVEN AFTER THE THIRD VISIT THE RECAULKING WORK IN SOME AREAS WAS NOT DONE PROPERLY.

JIM, THE PAINTER, WAS VERY PLEASANT AND EXPERIENCED.
