In the midst of being here for 2 days, he asked for more money. When everything was over, he said that the bricks were more expensive than the original price, so I ended up paying more than the estimates. He changed the contract entirely. He's a con artist; he talks a good talk, does great work but I would not recommend him to anybody.

Staff were generally personable and courteous, but disorganized and often late. The electrician who installed the outlet put it in front of the area that the fountain was supposed to go, so there is a junction box sticking up at the edge of the patio. He refused to move it when requested. Three young men did most of the preparatory work for the patio. During my initial discussions with the contractor, I was clear on several points: the patio should drain into the side gardens, the soil should prepared for the plantings(remove impacted clay soil and replace with dirt that I provided), and all the old soil that was excavated was to be removed from the property. The contractor was also to deliver all materials for the patio. Later however, the contractor said he didn't have the cash, and asked me to order the patio blocks and pay to have them delivered. He ordered more than twice as many blocks as were needed, which had to be returned. He also had issues with removing the excavated clay soil. He piled some of it against the neighbors house, where the shrubs were to go. When it came time to settle, he wanted to charge extra for removing it. The plan was changed several times(I had to do my own drawing)and when it was time to lay the blocks, it became clear that the contractor had not figured out in advance how they would be laid out. The blocks were not set close enough together, and there is a big gap between the sidewalk and the patio(1/2 inch). I was told they could not dig a trench for the shrubs, but that they would dig an adequate sized hole for each one. Except for three large plants, the shrubs were supposed to be 2 feet apart, but were planted closer(14"). If the holes had been dug according to the planting instructions that came with them, they would have had a trench by default. Immediately after the shrubs were planted, I found that when I watered them, instead of soaking into the ground, the water poured off the top and pooled onto the patio. Before the contractor completed the job, I let him know of my concern that the ground had not been properly prepared and the shrubs would not have proper drainage to survive. He did not take any action. Within a couple of weeks, the shrubs started turning brown. In addition, I found that water pools on the patio. A brief inspection revealed impacted clay soil surrounding the shrubs. I emailed the contractor to express my concern. He responded on the phone, and said it was "normal" for them to do that, and did not offer to check out the situation.

In September of '07 had a retaining wall rebuilt in the back of my property. In November it was leaning and some block were toppling. Clint, the person who originally built it, came out and replaced the broken blocks and said it would be fine. In the end of April or early May I talked to Curt and informed him that the wall was again leaning and the dirt behind the wall was washing away and the drain was exposed. Curt said he would inform Clint who was out of town but returning that day. After about 2-3 weeks (end of May) I called again and Curt said he had fired him and that he would try to get out that week. After a couple of other calls a crew of two showed up in Mid June. They started the work, but did not complete. On July 2 and 9th I called again and Curt said he was very busy with commercial jobs and thanks for my patience they would try to get out Saturday (July 12). No crew showed. Presently there is dirt and gravel piled on the neighbors parking lot and a trench behind the wall that is a danger to the neighborhood children. It was been this way for about a month. Our neighbors are now complaining and worried about the danger to their kids. Curt has been very courteous on the phone and said he's been very busy, but I have lost my patience. I need a well constructed wall now.

I thought they were quite expensive. They got the job done and the work was fine. Some of the water still is leaking in my home so I will have to call someone this month.

I was unsatisfied because I thought by his previous reviews that he was reputable.

Oh. My. God. First, Curt showed up (but was 40 minutes late). When he arrived, my wife and I both noticed that he reaked of alcohol. We walked around our property anyway. Curt was joined by a female associate (read later on; while I thought she was initially part of the company, I don't think so). We walked around and told Curt what we were looking for. Oddly, he did not seem very interested in doing the work we wanted, for example, we asked to have a chain link fence removed. He countered with "can we just cut off the posts and leave the cement buried?" We asked about having old cement patio removed and pavers put in he countered with proposing to simply put pavers on top?? (I have never heard of that being done). As we walked around our property his female associate disappeared,which made my wife nervous. We found out that when we were done, she was out in our driveway sleeping in his truck!!!!!!!! Under NO circumstances would I ever hire these guys.

He did a really good job and was very prompt, professional and efficient. He recommended some spring landscaping tasks so I will hire him again in the spring. He also winterized my outside water feature in my pond.

Called for an estimate, came out the next day, very professional and prompt, Clint said could start in 2 weeks. Was here when promised, Clint worked by himself, was done in 3 days. The wall looks great, includes drainage system. Had to purchase more block but kept to the original estimate. Was very personable, and cleaned up after the job was complete. Also put up with the neighbor boys who were trying to 'help'. Would definitely recommend.

We were very pleased with Curt's quick response to our call and the scheduling of our work for the next week. His crew were hard workers and did a great job. They treated our yard as if it were their own. They did more than the contract called for, were punctual and very personable. They cleaned up thoroughly every day and at the end of the job. They were all great to work with.

He was able to start the work immediately, was always on time and very flexible and creative. I enjoyed working with Curt, and would definitely hire him again.

Curt landscaped the area outside my condo with decorative bricks and stone. I wanted two areas that had soil, plants, and weeds removed and replaced with the bricks so that I could have more patio space. He left a small perimeter of soil and re-planted some of the plants in that area. Curt was quick to respond to my email and was able to come out and give me an estimate and do the work the following week. The work was done in one day and looked great. It turned out better than I had expected. Curt came up with a great design and his estimate was less than others I had received. I have received many compliments on my patio. I would recommend and use this contractor again.

They were very professional and did everything in a timely fashion. The cost was exactly as they had estimated. They were very clean and nothing was left behind. Everything was like brand new.

Mr. Schultheiss was prompt in replying to my request for an estimate. He immediately scheduled one and was right on time when he arrived. He gave a good honest estimate, spent plenty of time looking over everything, was courteous, polite and to the point. Left us a business card and we seemed satisfied that he could and would get the job done. The estimate seemed a little steep however when I told my brother about it he decided he would rather do the work himself and we didn't actually hire Mr. Schultheiss. Even though Mr. Schultheiss did call to set-up another appointment with us, we had to thank him just the same and say good-bye.

They were very good. They arrived in the morning, worked all day long, and are very conscientious. They are very easy to work with. In fact, they had to dig up some lawn and I was reseeding, and they laid the sod down on the lawn. They also replanted a plant that had to be moved. They are very very good.

He was very good. When he says he will do a job he is there. He is very reliable, and fast. He keeps going until it is done. His prices are really good. He is also very professional and prompt.
