We had all the interior walls painted, the trim/woodwork, as well as the basement walls and floors washed/painted. Curt came and quoted and the work was complete on time. The crew was professional and the house looks great.

This was an Angie's list offering for an in home consultation. Having just built a new home, I was looking for decorating ideas, but his expertise was in painting, which I didn 't really need, except for a mural on one wall. I wasn't sure I would like it, and the estimate I received was from $5,000 to $2500 so so far I have not contracted for the mural.

Fabulous! All work was done in one day. Paint was provided. Scraping was done where necessary. House looks great. Couldn't ask for more.

He did come and gave me some suggestions he was going to send me an estimate I am waiting on his estimate to decide whether or not to go through with him to complete the work. We talked about draperies, painting, and carpet. He was very nice. I have no complaints.

Curt is a wonderful man. His prices on additional service was on the high end of what I had quoted up with other contractors. I just was not his customer.

They picked excellent paint, Duration. It looks like it was just painted yesterday. The was a little higher then I expected but they're very professional. They show up on time and clean up after themselves. I recommend them to my friends and will definitely use them again.

They refinished our front and back exterior doors after covering deep scratches made by our dog and then matching the dark woodwork inside our home. They leveled a basement floor and built up the outside walls of an unfinished basement room in an extremely professional manner. They stained our deck so well it looked better than we've ever seen it before in all the years we've lived in the house. They painted the lower exterior of our house after it had been tuck-pointed and then painted the tuck-pointed parts inside the basement as well. Other than that, they completed a large number of odd jobs that we pointed out throughout the house. For example, they fixed the siding on the house, painted our closed-in porch, and cleared out the plumbing in our basement tub, to name a few. They were extremely versatile and helpful and I would recommend them to anyone. Just make sure you know exactly what you want them to do.

The contractor first told me that the ad expired in April 2014. Next, he told me that unless he was coming to paint my whole house, he would not honor the ad. My project is a small job, and "one day, two painters for $399" sounded like the perfect solution. Nope. He described the ad as "a foot in the door to paint your whole house," and that since he couldn't make money on the job, he was unwilling to honor the ad.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. I had mixed reactions. He did the minimal that we asked for and he came up with a few ideas but nothing that was really all that helpful. He suggested a few things to work and we said to give us a price on carpeting because it was something we wanted to go forward with. He came in early March and we haven't heard from him since. He never got back to us with a price. He was here for darn near an hour, which I didn't think was necessary. I was looking for some ideas about color and other things we might do. He said if we could keep it neutral and that was about all he said. It wasn't real helpful that way. We waited to go somewhere else and we are not going to wait any longer for them. We didn't spend any additional money. The price wasn't worth it. It wasn't really money well spent. He had some suggestions that we weren't going to do that were beyond what we had in mind. He was quick for the walk-through. He was punctual for the appointment. He wasn't that responsive in getting back to us.

Made initial contact with provider it seems as if he did not want to do the work so I didn't go through with the service.

Work was completed in a timely manner. Cleaned up and returned to finish touchups. Did a very good job.

We needed to get our house fixed up quickly. Curt and his team did all this work in 4 days between Christmas and New Years. They worked meticulously and were very pleasant. (We were also in the house working on our own projects.) Given the day of the year Curt and his lead craftsman went way beyond the call of duty. The last day was New Year's Eve, but they stayed into the evening to take care of extra things we had asked them to do. We're very impressed. -- A Five Star Recommendation!

I purchased an interior consult with this contractor through Angie's list. The original walk through (11/11/13) was timely. However, since that time I have received one phone call to explain how busy he was from the Angie's List ad and IF I was to start a project what would it be. I told him, and reiterated that nothing would be done until I receive pricing. To date (12/27/2013) I have received no estimates, and no ideas on his thoughts about my interior remodeling. This was a waste of $59.00.

Curt Schultheiss & company had done 3 rooms for us during November, and we decided to have do the remaining 3 rooms right away. I didn't want to postpone it and then have him be unable to do our work because he'd gotten so busy with others. In any case, Curt did the same outstanding work he'd done before for us. This time, there car accidents and illness to deal with, but Curt always let us know what was happening & what to expect . He put in extra time and was still able to do the shopping, some of the painting, hanging of the window treatments, etc. I had another wall hanging that he painted to make it stand out. It's beautiful. I've always had good service from people I've hired through Angie's List, but Curt Schulteiss & workers went far & above what I expected. I have more things I'd like to have done, and I will definitely let him know when the time is right. We've talked about possibly doing it next Feb., and I'm sure I'll be back writing another excellent review for the excellent work that'll be done!

Curt spent 2-3 hours with me discussing colors, window treatments, etc. We had the same 2 men doing the painting. At the end of the day, they cleaned up so as to provide us with pathways to other rooms & keep the house relatively free from sanding dust. Curt was involved hands-on the whole day, part of the day, and/or by phone every single day of our project. I was a bit fearful at first because the colors "popped" as Curt would tell me. Going from dirty white walls throughout to actual color was intimidating. Curt talked to me about his ideas, and he incorporated some of my own ideas as well. He took me shopping for window treatments and area rugs, and he always kept my budget in mind. He is a perfectionist, and if something is even a little wrong, it will be remedied. I can't write enough words to tell you how excited I was to find him! As to using him again, we've decided to now have him do 2 bedrooms and the kitchen. He is absolutely awesome! He also has an artistic talent. We had a couple of pieces we were going to throw out, but he paints them with shades of copper to make them go with others we have. I could go on and on, but suffice to say, just give Curt a call & wait for the miracles to happen.

Curt contacted me shortly after I purchased the deal and he accommodated to my time frames that worked for me. He was running a little late for the appointment but he did call to let me know. He spent some time and gave us great ideas and advice for various projects around my house. I plan on using him for our windows and fencing jobs in the future.

Curt was excellent to work with. I had no idea what I wanted, only that I wanted something different that would cause one to look up and realize there was a barrel ceiling. He brought up several things he could do. One idea he had was presented in a design/architecture magazine that seemed to capture what I wanted. It turned out to be a harlequin wall design. He worked through designing this and it came out beautifully. Went up the top half of the wall and over the ceiling! I love it! Also, the exact date and cost above are approximate but close.

It went very well ... he even worked on Saturday to make sure the job was completed in time for my packer party on Sunday.

It was a 1970's basement and now has been brought into the current time era. Kurt has done a lot of stuff in my house in about the last 8 years. He has a great sense of design and is very professional. When he suggests something I let him go with it because he is very good at what he does. He comes up with great ideas.

Very well, because it was a small job it took a little longer than expected to allow proper drying and to make coming here worthwhile

Did a great job - He had to come back because we thought the liner had torn so he drove back down on Labor Day weekend. Turns out something had blown into the pond and was stuck! After a few beers it was a good laugh! We plan on having him quote on our basement remodel in the Spring.

He is excellent. He's very prompt, polite, and works extemely fast. Based on hourly charges, he gets a lot more done than the typical hourly worker does.
