They came quickly and did an estimate which he provided on the spot. Unfortunately, his price was 10 times my lowest estimate and 6 times what I eventually paid to have the work done. I questioned why it was so much for one day's work, and he replied that they were "professionals." I did not hire them.

GOOD SERVICE, FRIENDLY, EFFICIENT, GOOD PRICE, PROFESSIONAL. THEY CAME ON TIME AND WERE CAREFUL NOT TO GET SOOT ON FLOORS. THEY CLEANED UP AND LET US KNOW A FEW PROBLEMS THEY SAW.

We had multiple estimates for the chimneys. Royal was not in the mainstream for what they concluded needed to be done. Their analysis and monetary estimate far exceeded many other companies' conclusions and price. $28,000.00 is a might excessive particularly when many other companies could not support the extent of the work estimated that Royal said we needed done. The people were reasonably friendly and professional but simply not credible viz. other companies on The List and companies recommended by neighbors.

I used a $10 off 'RSVP' coupon that I received in the mail. The employee was very quick, neat and helpful. He answered my questions and sold me a new grate without being pushy.

Very clean and professional. Showed up when they said they would, and inspected and cleaned the chimney from the inside. They were very clean when performing the job. Used a vacuum to erase any sign that they were there. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Dave answered all my questions and gave me some good advice on purchasing wood. I would highly recommend this company.

Inspected it, said it did not need cleaning. And gave me advice on how to build a better fire.

Excellent. Very thorough and pointed out areas of concern and inexpensive ways to address them. When I had to cancel my original appointment with them they were very accommodating in rescheduling. Called the day before to remind me they were coming. Plan on using them again next year.

CHIMNEY SWEEP WAS ON TIME, POLITE AND KEPT THINGS VERY CLEAN. AFTER CLEANING CHIMNEY HE TOLD ME IT HAD NO LINER, AND WAS UNSAFE TO USE. HAD HE TOLD ME THIS BEFORE THE CLEANING I WOULD HAVE GLADLY PAID FOR HIS TRIP AND SENT HIM ON HIS WAY. NOW I HAVE A CLEAN CHIMNEY AND FIREPLACE THAT I CAN'T USE.

I ORIGINALLY CALLED THEM TO SWEEP THE CHIMNEY. EVEN THOUGH I HAVE NOT USED THE FIREPLACE VERY MUCH, I THOUGHT IT NEEDED TO BE SWEPT SINCE I WAS GETTING READY TO SELL THE HOUSE. WHEN THE CHIMNEY SWEEP CAME, I APPRECIATED HIS HONESTY WHEN HE SAID THAT THE CHIMNEY DID NOT NEED SWEEPING. BUT SINCE HE WAS THERE, HE NEEDED TO DO, AND CHARGE ME FOR, AN INSPECTION. I THOUGHT THAT SOUNDED REASONABLE. WHEN DOING THE INSPECTION, HE NOTED SOME PROBLEMS. THE CHIMNEY CROWN WAS CRACKED AND SOME OF THE MORTAR JOINTS WERE LOOSE (HE TOOK PICTURES WITH HIS DIGITAL CAMERA). HE GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE OF $1845 TO DO THE REPAIR, WHICH I THOUGHT WAS EXCESSIVE. I ENDED UP CALLING A MASON WHO DID REPAIRS FOR UNDER $300. I'M NOT SAYING THAT THE $300 REPAIRS WERE AS EXTENSIVE AS THE JOB PROPOSED BY THE CHIMNEY SWEEP. EVEN SO, I THINK THE JOB AND COST PROPOSED WAS MORE THAN I NEEDED TO DO.

CALLED AND SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE FIREPLACE CHIMNEY CLEANED AND GET ESTIMATE ON CHIMNEY LINING/CAP. WAS AT MY HOUSE FROM 7:45 A.M. UNTIL 8:30 AND NO ONE SHOWED UP OR CALLED. APT. WAS FOR 8 A.M.--FIRST APPT. OF THE DAY. DID CALL AND LEAVE MESSAGE (MUST HAVE MIS-DIALED--THEY DIDN'T GET MESSAGE) THEN TALKED WITH OFFICE---SAID HE WAS RUNNING LATE AND DIDN'T GET TO MY HOUSE UNTIL 8:40 A.M.--I REMINDED THEM I HAD TO GET TO WORK. WAS PUT ON HOLD SEVERAL TIMES DURING THE CONVERSATION AND FINALLY IN FRUSTRATION DID HANG UP. I WAS IN PROCESS OF MOVE AND DIDN'T NEED THE ADDITIONAL STRESS. WENT WITH ANOTHER COMPANY. OFFICE DID CALL BACK A COUPLE OF TIMES TO RE-SCHEDULE.

THE PERSON WHO CAME OUT WAS VERY PROMPT, VERY POLITE AND VERY NEAT. WE WERE CONCERNED ABOUT THE CHIMNEY CAP RUSTING AND HE ASSURED US THIS WAS VERY COMMON IN PRE-FAB CHIMNEYS. HE EVEN GAVE US THE NAME OF SOMEONE WHO COULD PAINT IT. WE HAVE USED THIS COMPANY BEFORE AND WERE PLEASED THEN ALSO.

EVERYONE I SPOKE WITH,(MELANIE,CARTER,KEVIN,DEL) WERE VERY COURTEOUS,CHEERFUL AND PROFESSIONAL.THEY WERE EXACTLY ON SCHEDULE. THEY TOOK THE TIME TO ANSWER ALL QUESTIONS AND EXPLAIN PROCEDURES. I WAS EXTREMELY PLEASED WITH THE WORK DONE AND WILL CONTACT THEM AGAIN TO HAVE MY HEATING DUCTS CLEANED. I AM VERY SATISFIED AND WILL RECOMMEND THEM TO OTHERS. I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT THEM!

SWEEP ARRIVED ON TIME, WAS FRIENDLY AND NEAT. HE DID A GOOD JOB CLEANING THE CHIMNEY AND RECOMMENDED SOME REPAIRS BUT WAS NOT PUSHY ABOUT SELLING ANY ADDITIONAL SERVICES. THEIR PRICE WAS SIMILAR TO OTHER PLACES THAT I CALLED.

HE PUT THE CHIMNEY CAP BACK ON FOR FREE AND HE ALSO DID A GOOD JOB CLEANING

THEY CAME BACK TELLING ME THAT ONE DID NOT NEED CLEANING, SO I WAS ONLY CHARGED FOR ONE. PLUS HE SHOWED UP EARLY, WHICH WAS REALLY, REALLY GOOD.

DAVE WAS RUNNING ABOUT 15 MINUTES LATE, SO HE CALLED TO LET ME KNOW, WHICH WAS MUCH APPRECIATED.

DAVE WAS VERY PERSONABLE AND PUNCTUAL. HE USES A DIGITAL CAMERA TO SHOW THE PROBLEMS ON OR IN THE CHIMNEY, SINCE I WAS NOT ABOUT TO GO UP ON THE ROOF TO LOOK. THE CROWNSEAL COMES WITH A 10 YEAR WARRANTY. OVERALL A VERY PLEASANT EXPERIENCE. I WOULD DEFINITELY USE THEM AGAIN.

THEY WERE THE ONLY COMPANY THAT I TALKED TO THAT WAS VERY POLITE AND EXPLAINED EVERYTHING TO YOU. WE HAD CALLED OTHERS, AND EITHER THEIR PRICE WAS TOO HIGH OR THEY KEPT QUOTING US DIFFERENT PRICES OVER THE PHONE. IT WAS LIKE THEY WERE GUESSING AT NUMBERS & NEVER REALLY GIVING YOU AN ANSWER. ROYAL CAME OUT WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD (ON TIME) & DID THE JOB FAST AND EASY.

AFTER HE DID THE INSPECTION, HE SAID IT DIDNT NEED ANYTHING DONE TO IT. I REALLY APPRECIATED HIS HONESTY.
