Description of Work: Royal Chimney was referred to me byWildlife Control Service because I had a squirrel get into the chimney of my steel free standing fireplace. In the process AWC noticed my chimney cap has a gap. I called Royal Chimney because I wanted it repaired or replaced. I was told I needed to provide a model number. The fireplace is 40 years old; I don't have paperwork or model number. I was told that if they saw pictures of it, perhaps they could help. I sent pictures. They called back asking again for a model number. I don't have a model number. They said they would come out and look at it for $129. I said no. (I notice they advertise free estimates~~"ask for details") They did not return my call after I sent the pictures for 2 days. I spoke with an office person both times, not a technician.. The individual I spoke with was not helpful and not customer friendly. Royal Chimney apparently don't need business and can't be bothered. Thumbs down!!!

Description of Work: Had 2 Fireplaces and Furnace Flues cleaned .Appointment made that gave a 2 hour window of showing up, arrive within the 1st hour. Job took 4 hours, Sweep out chimneys/,vacuuming/and inspected Protect the carpets with runners David was pleasant and explained what he was going to do and answered and questions

Description of Work: The firewall panel in the back of my fireplace had cracked and needed to be replaced. I called Royal Chimney Service and was greeted by an extremely friendly, helpful person (I wish I could recall her name) who set up an appointment to have Dave come out that very same day to see if he could possibly fix it that day. Dave did come out but did not have the panel he needed on the truck. So I arranged to have Dave come back the next week to install the panel, which he did. Dave was on time,very professional and offered many suggestions on how to burn fires in the fireplace to avoid the possibility of the wall cracking again (this is the second time I have had to replace that wall). Told me about firebacks. I would highly recommend Royal Chimney Service.

Description of Work: I called yesterday and scheduled an appointment for today between 8:30 - 10:00. They did not show. While mistakes are made this appointment was made less than 24 hours ago. I stayed home from work and took 1/2 day of vacation so I could be there to talk to them about the work I wanted completed. Looking elsewhere now for service that I am willing to pay for.

Description of Work: EASILY CONTACTED WITH GOOD CALL BACK FOLLOW THROUGH. IT WAS THE HOLIDAY SEASON, SO IT TOOK A FEW DAYS TO GET THE WORK DONE FROM SCHEDULING, BUT I EXPECTED THAT. NICE PEOPLE. CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES.
