Our job involved removing 4" of topsoil and replacing with pea gravel in an area of approximately 680 square feet in our fenced in yard. Over the years we have found it was impossible to keep it grass covered, because of our dogs who use the yard to play in and potty there. With burned out spots, snow, lots of shade, and high traffic, it was mostly dirt (and mud when it rained). Saturday morning the company called to say they were able to do our job. Four men came to do the job along bringing a skid steer to help remove the 4" of dirt. A part of the chain link fence had to be temporarily removed to get the skid steer into the area. The removed dirt was put in a pile elsewhere for us to use on other projects. The pea gravel that replaced the dirt was the correct size we asked for. In approximately two hours, the job was completed and the area cleaned up. We are very happy with the results and would definitely use Rodriguez Landscape in the future. .

Rodriguez did this project in 2013, and everything looked great initially. They were prompt and professional. Many of the plants died, however, despite appropriate care. Others are not growing well into their third year. I contacted Rodriguez in spring of 2014, and they also promptly and professionally came back and replanted the dead plants. Those plants died too, this time even more quickly. Finally I got out my pitchfork and dug them out myself to replant. What I found is that the roots of the previous plants were never dug up, and they were choking the new plants. My beds were supposed to have been thoroughly dug with new soil added. I wasn't home when they did the job, so I wasn't able to see what actually occurred. Disappointed that I'm having to hire another contractor to do much of this all over again.

We got them through Angie's List, and they did fine. We had an issue because they wanted to charge us a certain amount, and it was on the invoice. We told them we didn't want that service, and so we said that we are not going to pay for it, because we had not asked for it, and they had added it on the invoice and done the work. We ended up paying $900 and they wanted us to pay $1100. The work was fine, it was just that they added that in there, and they did the work, and we had told them that we didn't want that. The pricing seemed fine except when they put the work in the invoice.

The Rodriguez company FAR EXCEEDED our expectations by finishing the job in less than 24 hours after we accepted their quote. Great care was taken in the removal of pesky weeds and buckthorn and our gardens were left with a spectacular finished look. Kelsey was the ultimate professional and Raul was exceptionaaly fast when providing us with a quote. I will recommend them to our all of our coworkers, friends and family. Thank you!

Everything went really well. The crew was professional and courteous. They did excellent work and even cut up the large branches removed from my walnut tree so that I could keep it for firewood. I did not have multiple quotes for this project, but I felt that the prices were fair for the services provided. I will be using them again.

Raul is a very respectful and conscientious vendor. He is very quiet and some times difficult to hear and understand. So you need to speak slowly and clearly and ask any questions that arise. He scheduled an appt. with me for surveying the work to be done and was prompt and ready with pad and pen at the appointed time. I wanted to get the job done before the trees/bushes leafed out and Raul thought they might fit it in a few days later. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate, so we waited a few more days. The crew of 5 appeared on a Saturday about 945AM started right in and worked until about 1245PM (about 3 hours). Raul supervised and explained to them what needed to be done and then left after an hour or so. That was good move because some of the crew did not seem to understand English easily and my Spanish is rusty. They were all very knowledgeable and efficient in their work , but careful. They worked steadily and did not dally about with personal cell phone calls etc. It was a bit scary to see the climbers suspended way up in the trees dangling from the climbing ropes but they seemed to observe great caution and deliberation in everything they would do. I noticed a couple of stubs that were accidentally missed up in one tree and pointed them out to a crew member and they removed them also. I was very pleased with the amount of sunlight and air movement that resulted from the trimming. I will be bringing them back next year to tackle several more trees! Just a note to the homeowner... whenever you have this many branches brought down or dragged around, there are oodles of little twigs etc. to rake up afterwards. Also, my lawn is weak and when branches fell the lawn was gouged in a few places. Did not bother me but some people might be upset. I just tamped the areas down. I was very pleased with what the crew did and the price was affordable. I have hundreds of small plants/trees/shrubs marked with stakes and little red flags and none were trampled. They have been very careful about my plants in the past so that I why I am a repeat customer! Thanks.

They very were very prompt. They did great work. They were quick. I have used them several times as they were very reasonable.

We had a very large driveway replaced and they filled in earth around the perimeter after the construction. Also filled in lava rock in one area. We also had a large tree removed and the area was not level and had a lot of saw dust from grinding the stump down. They did a great job at filling all this in and seeding the grass. I would highly recommend them.

Overall it went okay. There really wasn’t any complaint as far as the work that they did. They came, graded and did a good job; so I was very happy with the work. They are not easy to get in contact with since the guy who does the estimates is extremely busy. It's kind of a challenge to get a response if I send an e-mail as the response time is kind of slow. So you really can't get in contact with him but when you do, he is totally fine.

Our original request was for 4 separate quotes, one for the above work and 3 additional for ongoing maintenance (not to include grass cutting), fall cleanup and spring cleanup. With the above quote was a quote for maintenance which included grass cutting. We requested a new quote to exclude grass cutting. We did not received a new quote. When we were billed for the work done, it included a charge for maintenance that was not done. When brought to their attention, received apology admitting their error and were re-billed for correct amount. On day work was done, we received a call mid-day from Mr. Rodriguez asking if it was OK to do the work that day. It was and a 4 man crew arrived about 90 minutes later. Crew chief didn't have the list, which I had given Mr. Rodriguez, of work to be done so we had to tell them what was to be done. They worked fairly quickly, only asked for one clarification. One bush was trimmed that should have not been touched and two plants that were supposed to be removed, were not. Workers packed up and left without checking if work was completed to our satisfaction.

I contracted with Rodriguez Landscape Company to remove 2 dead pine trees from our back yard, and trim our Ash & Locust trees. Their prices were competitive, and the people I spoke with were polite and professional. I had an easy time scheduling, and they were able to come out within about 2 weeks (this was in mid-June/Early July). The men who removed the trees did so in an organized, neat fashion, and cleaned everything up very well when they were done. I have no complaints, and would definitely use them again in the future for other tree removals on our property, or recommend them to others looking to do so.

Excellent work, as always. Punctual and productive use of time. Thorough cleanup afterward. I will continue to call on Rodriguez Landscape for any future needs. Nice to have my own landscaper! Highly recommended!

They did a real good job. They cleaned up after themselves. Everything was perfect; they got everything done. They did it when I wasn’t even here. I came home, and everything was perfect. Everything was swept down. Everything was clean. I had no issues whatsoever. With regard to responsiveness, they were pretty good. I would definitely use them again in the future.

The entire experience was great starting with my phone call to their office, my meeting with Raul and the work that was performed. Raul and his crew did an excellent job. They completed all of the work quickly and everything was left neat as a pin. The tree against the house was of concern and they took it down without any problem. The job would've been easier for them if I just let them drop the tree on my burning bush but I wanted to preserve it. They worked around my constraint and got the job done. I would absolutely use their services again.

This company came out on a Monday to look the job over and on the same day they were able to remove the debris. Very prompt and the gentleman that came out cleaned up the yard very nicely.

Rodriguez was able to see site and quote quickly. They gave me an approximate start date, then regularly kept me updated as weather pushed them slightly back from original schedule. The let me know exactly what to expect when workers would be at my house. Workers were friendly and respectful to my property. Work was done in a timely manner and I am extremely happy with the finished results. They listened to what I needed and responded to it exactly. Their pricing was competitive and fair. I originally went with Rodriguez because of the professionalism, promptness, and ideas of the person who came out to do the quote.

This is a project I wanted to get done for at least 4 years. I originally hired someone and they never showed up to complete the work. I was given Rodriguez Landscape by my daughter-in-law's aunt. She told me that they were on Angie's List and they were very highly recommended to her by her neighbors. I called and Raul came out the next day and gave me a quote. Within the next 4 days, I received a quote, paid 1/3 down and the work was completed and done beyond my expectations!

They did good. They came right away and got things done quickly. There were somethings that I thought they would prune a little different than what they did but it is okay.

I had gotten other estimates for the work of about $5000, which I just couldn't afford, so I contacted Rodriguez. I was quoted $2600. Paul stayed in contact with me about available dates, including rescheduling the work because of rain delays on other projects. The guys showed up on the scheduled day, and worked for 2 days (for a total of 3, because they worked on another job the second day). They broke down the old wall, placed a barrier to keep the soil/gravel in place, rebuilt the wall, including filling the concrete blocks with gravel (which the original wall didn't have, causing it to sag and bow out). The upper wall rebuild was not part of the original estimate, but the workers explained that it was necessary for the integrity of the whole structure. I was charged $400 for that part of the job, but the whole job was still far less than it would have been with another contractor. They reseeded the areas that they had to run over with the bulldozer, and it has grown back. I told them not to reseed most of it, since I was going to plant a vegetable/rain garden anyway, so they only reseeded the front.

It went very well. Raul called to let me know when the work would be done. The company also contacted Digger's Hotline to check where all the utility lines were. The men did the work in about three hours. I asked several questions and they were very cooperative. They did an excellent job. I have planted more perennials in the area and I was surprised that the soil is so workable. They did a great job of removing the roots.

The job had 2 phases. They came and completed phase I in one day and it exceeded my expectations. Phase II will be this week and I'm excited to see the finished job!
