+ 0 moreRaul and the whole company, from the ladies in the office to the guys who did the work, were GREAT. We were working on a tight deadline and had a lot of factors to juggle-- the village permits, the weather, and also the needs of the neighbors-- and Raul was absolutely fantastic in working with us to get the job done on time. He returned calls almost immediately, and was very clear in what he could get done and when. All the work done at our house was done very well, and they were great about cleaning up at the end of the job as well as at the end of each work day. The guys worked very hard to get the job done before weather interfered, and even though the conditions weren't that great they came back and finished the work so we could meet our deadline. They were also one of the nicest and most polite group of guys I've worked with. I'm very thankful we chose this company for the work, and I'd work with them again in a heartbeat. We felt the price of the work was very fair, and their flexibility in order to meet our deadline was really appreciated.
Description of Work: They removed a long concrete walkway from our property, scraped down our backyard to regrade it toward the alley, excavated an area for a new stone patio, top-dressed all the areas that had been excavated/scraped, and reinforced the edging of a brick patio in our backyard

+ 0 moreI had to call and leave a message four days later I get a call back I gave a brief synopsis of what needed to be done. they set up a time insisting they could not give any price quote over the phone I made it clear that I was in a budget.the man came on time but did not knock on the door say hello just walked into my backyard and started to take notes and sprayed my yard with orange spray paint.I went out and introduce myself and explain everything that we wanted to get done and the time frame that we were looking to get each piece done our yard has a lot of work that needs to be completed but we were on a budget and so only the most important things needed to be done immediately.he took his notes thanks very little stating that we would get the quote in the mail no quotes are given in person.he left without saying goodbye or giving any other details and a week later I got the paper in the mail.they were the highest priced and the least personable so we decided to go with a different company.
Description of Work: nothing the services were too expensive and there was a lack of professionalism and customer service

+ -1 moreWe called for an estimate, and Raoul came out at a time of our choosing. We told him what we wanted: About 30-40 feet of very tall overgrown bushes cut down to a height of 2 feet, and weeds and vines removed from behind our garage. He came during the week of our choosing, with 4 other men and a chipper, and they did the work in less than 2 hours. They worked very efficiently without a stop until they were done. They cleaned up the yard very well and left no trace of being there....except that now we have twice the usable space in our yard. We are very satisfied.
Description of Work: We had a large amount of overgrown bushes cut down and disposed of.

Description of Work: I contacted Rodriguez Landscape by email and received a prompt reply with available days and times to meet and get an estimate for removal of a very large tree. Kelsey was the contact who set up the meeting time with me for Saturday between 11 am - 1 pm with the note that the person coming out to do the estimate would call when he was on his way. I made arrangements to be there during the appointed time range, but received no phone call and no one showed up. After waiting around for awhile past the appointment time, I emailed back about no one showing up for the appointment and received a call back from the gentleman who was supposed to meet me. He said he had an emergency and was not able to make the appointment time. He didn't say why he couldn't have called to let me know and did not offer an apology. He said he would come out but it was raining where he was and preferred not to come in the rain. It was not raining at my place. He said I lived too far away (Mequon), it would cost too much for me to hire him (although he never saw the work) and I should find someone closer that would be cheaper. They had my address when I made the appointment and did not mention that I was out of their service range. I wish they would have told me they were not interested in working in Mequon up front and not wasted my time waiting around for them.

+ -1 moreI am very happy with the work performed by Rodriguez Landscape. First, I was provided with an estimate very quickly after my initial contact (within a day). The estimate was far less than others I received (Others wanted around $400-$600 for the same work). I paid a 30% deposit in early August and asked that the work be performed the week of August 26, 2013. I had not heard anything by mid-August so I called the office. They confirmed they received my deposit and the work would be done the week requested. I asked that I receive a call before they came to take the tree down. By August 27, 2013, I still had not heard anything so I called the office again. They said they could come take the tree down on August 29, 2013, which was fine with me. They came and removed the tree without problems. They cleaned up my backyard so much that you would have never know that they cut down a tree that day. They did not, however, clean up my neighbor's yard of the debris from the tree. But overall, I would recommend them and use them again.

Rodriguez was considerably less which worried me at first, but they were proposing better quality pavers and base-course and were willing to work with us to avoid bringing a bobcat into the backyard. Once their crew started work I knew I had made the right choice. We had a very specific design but there were massive tree roots in the way so they made some great suggestions for changing the design. They worked hard and to a very high standard of quality. Drainage was critical and required some creative changes which they accommodated. They included me in resolving problems and worked with the electrician to bury his conduit (which he had to have them dig up again so he could add another one - and they just jumped to it without complaint, very professional). The result is a very smooth, tight and attractive patio - we routinely get compliments on the workmanship as well as for the overall design. There are one or two small spots where water sometimes stands for a bit after a rain, but that seems normal and does not diminish our overall satisfaction. Working with the Rodriquez crew was a pleasure and the finished results are excellent.
Description of Work: Installed patio and walkway, including regrading, trenching for conduit and topsoil for planting beds.

All the work was done as specified in their contract and they were even able to save and replant some perennials that we wished to keep. We were very pleased with the work and the results. We would definitely use them again.

I emailed in my signed contract and informed that I would stopy by the main office the following day to make the downpayment, hoping they would then be able to take care of the stumps over the immediate weekend. When I arrived at their office (evening of the following day), I was pleasantly suprised to learn that they had already completed the work and when I drove out to the property to inspect, the work was done cleanly and to expectation. From the work completed and manner to which I was treated, I genuily feel they're a time-sensitive honest business with a hard-working crew and pride themselves on customer service and satisfaction.

The very first time I used them, the owner came out and we reviewed what I wanted done and gave me an estimate. Since then, even though they offer to come out and estimate the work, I simply ask them to do the same service as before and send me a bill. The work is always in the same price range ($150-$200) depending on how overgrown things have become. They show up promptly, trim and weed everything so that it looks excellent, and clean up all the clippings and debris. It really is a no hassle situation for me.

Within one day all the buckthorn and weeds were removed (and it was done on a 95 degree day with high humidity). The area was left clean and all of the offending plants were neatly taken away. The following day, new mulch was applied to five different gardens in a swift and timely manner. The yard looks spectacular. The Rodriguez Landscape Company is HIGHLY recommended. We were so impressed with the work that we hired them for monthly garden maintenance at a reasonable cost.

The crew that came here were great - courteous, hard-working, and very helpful! I It's not even the day after work was done, and already my yard looks better than ever, and the grass still needs to grow in! I wouldn't hesitate to hire Rodriguez Landscape for any job - I will keep them on my very short list of reputable contractors for future projects!
Description of Work: Graded slope away from my home and created a swale for better drainage of heavy rainwater. Removed overgrown bush/tree in the path of the swale, and transplanted two flowering shrubs; covered swale with topsoil, grass seed, fertilizer and straw. Removed a small brick pathway and filled with dirt and covered with mulch. Also installed top soil and seed to bare areas in the yard.

+ -1 moreI was happy with his demeanor and he seemed to know what he was doing. He looked at the problem, made some recommendations and then sent us the quote. He quoted us $3000 upwards. The thing that I found most irritating and this is just the way he runs his business is that he took like ten phone calls while we were having a conversation. I always felt that if you have a person standing in front of you in person that is the most important person, so every time his phone rang, he took it and that was a distraction. He called back almost immediately and he was pretty punctual. I might use him.
