Rick came out on short notice, surmised scope of work and cost and had a carpenter out the next day. Repair was detailed and job very well done. Carpenter was very impressive. Even the organization of truck as a mobile workshop was impressive. I did not get other bids so I can't compare the cost, which seemed a bit high to me.

Job 1: Since I had consulted another contractor who pronounced my 100 year old garage "a total tear-down", it was good to meet Rick who quickly devised a common-sense plan for the restoration of my garage. We received his proposal very soon after the initial consultation and the price of the job was reasonable. There were no changes in the cost as the work went on. Rick's crew is just the best: very professional and genial guys who take pride in their work. Great clean-up. Rick inspected the site often as the work continued. He was easy to access through his cell phone. We were especially pleased when he helped us set up our downspouts so that water would not continue to run into the garage. Job 2: The bookshelves built especially for this room were wonderful; they exceeded my expectations in both quality and design. We ordered a new window to replace the original one; I was very unhappy when the new window arrived because it was not identical to the original. Rick vigorously pursued getting the proper window from the reluctant company over several months and finally it was sent and installed. The cost for this room did increase as the job went on because WE added new features that had to be included in the final accounting. I am sure a less expensive remodeling for this room could have beeen found, but we have always felt that with Rick and his crew, we get the excellent quality that we desire. This room is just gorgeous. Job 3: Rick has a dedication to maintaining old houses. It is a philosophy that fits our own. He repaired an old door that I had thought would have to be replaced. It works better than ever. The flat roof has been repaired to our satisfaction. The cost of these jobs was appropriate. Rick's crew was always on time and easy to have in and around the house. The clean-up on all projects was excellent. Rick was always accessible by telephone. We have already engaged Rick's company for another project and we recommend him to others without hesitation. WAY OVER BUDGET!!! And like the other review, I didn't trust his billing. I ended up firing him before the work was complete and got good quality work done at a fraction of his price. It's a shame because his individual workers were very competent.

The whole process took about four days, two days for the remodeling and two days for staining and painting. Both the carpentry and painting crews were very courteous and professional. Cleanup was excellent.

JEFF DID A FANTASTIC JOB WITH THE DECK AND WAS VERY HELPFUL. HIS WORK IS REALLY GOOD, THEY DIDN'T TAKE SHORTCUTS. THEY GAVE ME MANY OPTIONS IN THE INITIAL CONSULTATION AND THE CORRESPONDING PRICING SO I COULD MAKE AN INFORMED DECISION. THEY FIRST SCHEDULED THE JOB TO START AUGUST 8TH, HE DIDN'T SHOW UP ON THE 8TH AND DID NOT CALL UNTIL THE 10TH. THEY THEN SAID THEY WOULD START THE FOLLOWING MONDAY. I INFORMED THEM I WAS LEAVING IN TWO WEEKS TO GO OUT OF TOWN AND HE SAID HE WOULD PUT THREE GUYS ON IT TO MAKE SURE TO GET IT DONE. THEY DID NOT END UP GETTING THE JOB DONE BEFORE I HAD TO GO OUT OF TOWN. THE FIRST WEEK, THEY HAD A RAIN DELAY AND DID GET QUITE A BIT DONE, BUT THE SECOND WEEK, THEY ONLY CAME TWICE. HE INFORMED ME THAT THEY HAD AN EMERGENCY JOB THAT HAD TO BE TAKEN CARE OF. THERE WAS A LOT OF MISCOMMUNICATION AND RICK TOLD ME HE WASN'T AWARE OF MY HAVING TO GO OUT OF TOWN EVEN THOUGH I TOLD THEM. HE DID SAY THEY WOULD DO SOME STAINING TO MAKE UP FOR THE ERROR.

WE HAVE USED THE PILONS MANY TIMES OVER THE YEARS, BOTH FOR BUSINESS AND PERSONAL CONTRACTING JOBS. THEY DO EXTREMELY THOROUGH AND PROFESSIONAL WORK.

I DON'T BELIEVE HIS BILLING WAS ACCURATE DUE TO OVER CHARGING.
