RED OAK TREE SERVICE

I knew the person; he needed work and gave me better price than other quotes I had, so went with this company. He took the tree down in winter but didn't remove the tree limbs from yard until April 2008. It took multiple phone calls and threats to get done. He didn't grind the stump until May and was to have dirt filled. He told me he needed 5 yards and I gave him the money for the dirt. He had to come back and regrind the stump, as too much was left, and still did a bad job. July 3, 2008, he finally brought dirt, one yard if I was lucky, unsifted with lots of stone. He also told me the dirt was now only about $65 but did not refund any money given for the dirt. He told me he would seed, but that wasn't done. He took chips and threw them into my trash bin and still left multiple chips in my lawn. Overall, did a lousy job and I would never use him again, nor would I recommend to anyone. He thinks as he gave me a good price, which most tree service companies do in the dead of winter when needing work. He brings up the price he quoted, not me, as it was about 50% of seasonal cost. He was unresponsive and gave no follow up. He asks for money up front and doesn't perform. I have now left several messages without a response. He thinks that a friendship allowed this lousy service.
