R E CONSTRUCTION COMPANY INC

A wonderful experience. I am in property management and deal with contractors daily. RE Construction was wonderful to deal with. I dealt with Pat. He had a crew there when he said he would. the crew was neat, professional, and efficient. They were very quick and I had no additional clean up after they were done. I was very impressed and the roof looks great. I checked the materials that they used and they were exactly what was quoted in the bid.

From the very beginning R E Construction (Pat Elliott) worked very closely with my insurance company to make sure that all that could be covered, was. We really were grateful, because they covered a lot. He kept in constant contact with both the insurance company and us. Once the work started, the crews were great! They worked hard to get the jobs done within a reasonable time frame. We had some bad weather in there, so we can't blame them that it took a little longer than they would have liked. But, when rain was anticipated, they made sure that surfaces were covered so there wouldn't be more damage, etc. Being an old house, (1912), there were several unforeseen complications, under the roof-like one more layer of shingles than anyone thought, the new roof line not meeting the bottom of the siding, rotting wood, etc. They tackled it all quickly and efficiently. The roofing crew, gutter crew and painting crew all cleaned up after themselves, and all I found were a few nails, here and there. They really were great! I would really recommend them to anyone. While it was our insurance company that recommended R E to us, I realized that they had done a roof repair for us almost 18 years ago, and that repair was good, so we were confident going back to them.

I was referred to R-E Construction by my insurance company (Acuity) to have my garage service door replaced after a break-in. Pressed for time, and wanting my property secured, I accepted my insurance companies settlement and gave verbal approval for R-E Construction to replace the door. I never received a written estimate or contract. Work was not scheduled in a timely manner. The door and lock hardware were of inferior quality to original (even though I had asked for a particular lock by Brand name). Initial installation was very poor--gaps between the door and the garage structure. Deadbolt lock installation did meet generally accepted standards for security. When I asked for changes to be made, installer cursed at me on the phone. A second installer fixed the door in an acceptable manner after three weeks of frustration.
