With regard to the additional cost, many times throughout the repair process additional damages are discovered which need to be addressed as a supplement. In your case, all additional costs were related to parts and sublet services to David Hobbs Honda relating to your tires and suspension. That possibility was disclosed on the repair authorization form you signed. Our records indicate the original estimate was $1270.13, there was a supplement of $165.59, with a final total of $1435.72 The total paid to Prestige over and above your $1000 deductible was $435.72. All the additional costs were reviewed with and approved by your insurance carrier. Upon completion you should have received a final copy of the repair invoice, which indicated all additional costs and the final bill amount to your insurance company. I will send you another copy of the final repair invoice for your records. In terms of the estimate for bumper repair and taillight replacement, I would have to see the other estimates for a fair comparison as to why there are differences. One thing that many other shops miss is the three stage tri coat pearl paint and the time to properly match color, which does add 30-40% to the cost of repair. I certainly think that when compared item by item we are very competitively priced for the level of quality and service we offer.
