I have used Paul twice and very satisfied both times. Both were not clean breaks, but Paul took the time and extra effort to repair them just like new.

When I called from the list of higly-rated Angie's list vendors, Paul's Refinishing was quick to respond and I ended up scheduling a visit for an estimate. My son's 4-drawer dresser was completely falling apart. I was given an estimate by Paul's Refinishing, but was also advised that the craftsmanship fo the piece was what had compromised its integrity and presented a considerable challenge to his ability to repair it. I was also shown the parts of the furniture that created the problems we ad been having. The front panel was loose on two drawers, the side panels had almost nothing to hinge something to and one drawer came completely apart. The tracks were plastic and of poor quality. I really didn't want to furniture shop, so I asked if there was any way he could salvage it. After some careful consideration, he offered that he would contact a cabinet maker that he collaborates with to see if something could be done. We wrote up an estimate that was speculative to what the cabinet maker might charge for each drawer. I was promised that he would be in touch with me within a week's time to indicate a more accurate price after consulting with the cabinet maker. Well, about three weeks passed without me hearing anything. So I called and he said had just gotten the estimatefrom the cabinet maker the day before and planned to call me. First getting my approval to perform the work, he then asked for another week to allow the work to be completed by the cabinet maker along with a solid number on the total price I would be paying. He delivered on time and kept the price affordable considering the extensive work that was done. I was extremely pleased with the end result! I would use Paul's Refinishing again and again!

Railings were 25 years old and looked worn. Now they look like new. Painted white and now look updated. Great Job

It was pretty good. I didn't like his attention to detail but overall he got the job done. He charged $220 per door.

He did pretty good. He did not repair some wood that could have been fixed before he restained it. He did end up doing it after I mentioned something about it.

Paul said he told me that some paint may come off the walls when he took the tape off on the last day of work; I do not remember him saying that. I know he told me the extra tape was for extra protection. I thought, being a painter, that he would "fix the paint". I did not know I had to ask him to "repair "gouges"/holes" in the wood before he finished the staining/varnishing. Maybe it's my fault for not asking. I just figured it was part of the job. I lost the original estimate; when I found it after the final payment, it was noted as considerably less. Paul came out and touched up some of the missing paint ( we did the rest, had to sand the walls first; we have plaster), and filled in the "hole" in the bathroom door ( which apparently was from an old "stopper", re-finished one base- molding in the kitchen, and refunded our $250.00. I think? I had a discount from Angie's List?? Paul was personable, and a fast, hard worker. Maybe I needed to be more clear.

I would recommend him to others. He is thorough, neat and does a good job.

The job was completed efficiently and perfectly.

I got an estimate from him but he was much higher than the other companies. He also would not do a written estimate until I contracted with him. I did check his references and they were all good.

He painted our neighbor’s house and we liked it. So we used him and he has almost painted many houses in our neighborhood. He paid close attention to details and he was reasonably priced. He was dependable and he actually finished ahead of schedule. He was considerate and left the place totally clean. We would use him again if need be.

He is prompt and punctual. He is very meticulous in his work. His prices are reasonable. His availability was good. We were very satisfied with the product he used to paint the trim and in the manner in which he painted it. He was very professional, friendly and nonintrusive. I would recommend him to anyone who would like to get their trim painted.

Contractor is very professional, clean and meticulous. He even cleaned some of the higher windows that would have been difficult for us to reach.

We couldn't be more pleased with this hire. Paul goes the extra mile every step of the way from paint and stain selection/sampling to repairing wall and wood damage which he noticed during the job. He supervises his employees and very closely and they were always neat and clean and punctual and professional. He maintained a constant communication with me which I really appreciated that. I cannot say enough positives. I will re-hire.

PAUL WAS GRACIOUS, WORKED AROUND OUR SCHEDULE, AND COMPLETED THE WORK ON A TIMELY BASIS. HE CONTACTED US WHENEVER A DECISION NEEDED TO BE MADE. HE PICKED UP AND DELIVERED THE FURNITURE, A DEFINITE HELP. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIS WORK.
