After being told that the transmission in my Dodge Ram needed to be replaced and virtually every front end component, on recommendation, i took my truck to O'Gorman and Sons on Hawley Rd. They were quick in getting my truck in, diagnosed, (two modules in the transmission needed to be replaced, rest of tranny was fine, and both front wheel bearings were shot). All other front end parts were ok. They finished all repairs the next day. Total price was $1,390.00 Another shop wanted around $5,000.00 to replace the transmission and around $2,500 to replace most of the front end parts.My truck drives like it is brand new! I found O'Gormans to be both honest and knowledgeable. I will never take any of my vehicles anywhere else. They are simply, the best!!

Description of Work: Dan is a very honest, caring mechanic! He has serviced my car for 12 years. I recently compared an estimate of a job with the dealership and he was hundreds less!! He gives me a heads up of what is coming down the road with repairs so I can budget. I highly recommend him!

After receiving a shocking estimate of $3400 from a dealer (Wilde Toyota) to fix the no-heat situation in my 2006 Toyota Corolla, I took my vehicle to O'Gorman and Sons Automotive for a second opinion. I took it there because it was close to my house and the shop had received favorable reviews. My first impression of the shop and Dan (owner) was very positive. The shop was very clean and organized. Dan was courteous and professional as he listened to my "tale of woe". In short order, he was able to correctly diagnose the issue as a plugged heater core and not an inoperable blend door in the air box, as the dealer had claimed. In other words, for about 1/20th of the price, Dan FIXED the problem, whereas the dealer's "diagnostic" (yes, I was charged for that) solution would have resulted in a huge financial outlay that would have left the problem unsolved! The day after Dan fixed the vehicle, I drove it to Chicago and back. The issue was definitely fixed, and at a good time, as winter weather has really settled in. I was more than pleased by my experience with Dan and highly recommend his shop.

I HAVE HAD OGORMANS AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE MY VEHICLE FOR THE PAST YEAR. I HAVE ALSO HAD MINOR REPAIRS PERFORMED THERE. THEY CONSISTENTLY PROVIDE EXCELLENT SERVICE FOR A VERY REASONABLE PRICE. THEY HAVE NEVER EXCEEDED THE ESTIMATED COST OF SERVICE OR REPAIR. THE VEHICLE HAS ALWAYS BEEN READY WHEN PROMISED.
