NOW ELECTRICAL SERVICES

I wrote a previous review where they did the rough-in for my basement. They did a great job, as my review states. I have returned to for another review now that I'm ready to have the job finished. That's where the problem lies. When they finished the rough-in last year, I told them it would be at least 6 months before I was ready for them to come back (since I'm doing most of the work myself), and they said no problem. I've now tried calling them and sending email via their website form numerous times and have not received a response in weeks. Neither their website nor their voice mail indicate what happened to them. Luckily, I only paid Now Electrical for the work they did, so I didn't lose money, but the amount they were charging for finish work is less than what I'm going to have to pay a new electrician to do since it was part of a larger bid (the entire job: rough-in and finish). New electrician = new permit, so this is going to cost me more than I had budgeted.

Great job. I'm doing most of the remodel myself, so NOW was very helpful in helping me determine how I would finish my framing work (e.g. soffits) by giving me options on how the lighting, switches and outlets would be installed. They made sure they knew how I wanted all of the outlets and switches placed (but still meeting code) before they started... including sectioning off the rec room into two lighting sections (one for the A/V area, and one for the kid's play area). Mike and/or the rest of the crew were always on time and courteous. The owner (I believe), Paul, always answered the phone and returned my calls when I had questions. With regards to the village permit, reaching our village inspector (and planning for an inspection) can be quite a chore. NOW worked through it, scheduled the appt., and was at my home during the inspection. After the inspector pointed out a couple of minor issues (e.g. must run conduit if both faces of the wall won't be finished), Mike fixed them the same morning. They still have to come back and do the finish work (when I'm done with the drywall), but I'm sure they'll do a great job once again. I will definitely recommend them to friends and family.

Called at 10 am, technician arrived at 11:30 as stated on phone. Was gone in 30 minutes. Explained the work to be done, gave options, cleaned-up and was out of here. I had received very clever letters from this company offering a discount and received a personal thank you note from them the next day. Amazing service.
