Description of Work: I brought my vacuum in for a repair and was told they would call me later in the day to let me know what was wrong. They never called and my efforts to reach anyone were unsuccessful. No one answered the phone, and there was no way to leave a message. I finally went there in person and was told they would get to it hthat day by five. I came back the next say at five after trying to call all day, and was told by a young man who said he was the manager that it was not done. I said I had bees promised it would be done yesterday, and he just shrugged and said it wasn't. I asked to speak to the owner and he said it was his relative who was sick. He said he had no idea when it could be fixed. I offered to wait, but he said they had no workers there. I finally gave up and went somewhere else. Don' t ever trust these people. I feel npbad for the elder relative. He probably has no idea how horrible job this young fellow is doing, or NOT doing in my case.

I sent in an online request for pick-up via his website and was impressed when he got back to me either the same day or the next. He told me he was going to be in my neighborhood later that day and could pick up my vacuum cleaner. I left it on the porch as he directed since I wasn't going to be home, and when I returned that night, it was still on the porch. I put it out the next day just in case, and he still didn't come. When I called his phone, I was got a message that his voicemail box couldn't accept any messages. He never called again, and I took my vacuum elsewhere.

After reading glowing reviews from this site, I dropped off my vacuum to be repaired by Mr. Vak on May 29, 2010 at 10 a.m. The vacuum had no suction and I was told it was a common problem with this brand and repairs would be done that same day. I left my name and two phone numbers and the clerk said he would call me back within the hour. I waited and waited and finally called him back at 1 p.m. He told me he didn't get to my vac yet but would call me back in an hour. I didn't hear from him the rest of the day... After many attempts to call him and only getting a ringing phone (no answering machine) I talked to him 4 days later and was told my vac was on the delivery truck and would be delivered that same day. It was not delivered that day nor the next and after calling many times in the following weeks, now months, I get the same story, "Your vacuum is on the delivery truck and will be delivered today". It is now July 7th! I depend on good businesses that deliver because I travel a lot for work and don't have time to run a lot of errands. I have gone to pick up my vacuum only to find the store closed during regular business hours. I don't know who wrote to previous reviews but I am experiencing a customer service nightmare with no solution in sight!

Demitri took a quick look at the vacuum and said it could be repaired; later he called to say the motor needed to be replaced and the cost would be higher than the estimate, if I still wanted to fix it. He said that he was going to charge me only the cost of the new motor (without markup) even though I sort of protested. A few hours later I picked it up and it's better than new because he grounded the plug, too.
Description of Work: Replaced the broken motor in an Electrolux, also fixed an attachment for the vacuum.

The product has worked well. Dimetria was helpful in demonstrating the product. He let me take it home and use it with a full money back guarantee if it did not work out with the solar power (issues of how much power would it take from the battery/solar source.)
Description of Work: I purchased a lightweight vac and attachments for use with my solar power at a northern cabin. The company has also repaired my vacuums for the past few years.
