Moving Helpers

They were professional, friendly, informative, helpful, on time, fast but careful during the packing, curious of the valuables - it was a really rainy day,  yes it does rain in Milwaukee. They were very precious in backing up the truck to it was protected with an overhang, so as the items came off the truck they were not getting wet.  They called 30min before arriving and were at the curb when I pulled up.  I couldn't have asked for better service from start to finish.

Alex and his team are efficient, courteous, and hard working. They are a true flat rate mover, no gimmicks. They arrived within the timeframe I was advised when I booked them. They even called me to let me know they were on their way. I really appreciate that, because moving is hectic and there are always last minute things to do. My furniture and boxes were efficiently and carefully loaded into their truck and they arrived at my new place shortly after I did. Alex even waited for my fiance to go to Lowe's to buy a different dryer cord for me since the outlet at my new place required a different prong configuration. My move from a two bedroom apartment to a 3 bedroom house was accomplished in a little more than 24 hours including 19 hours of journey. Moving sucks, but they made it as painless as possible. Alex and his team were extremely professional, they had a great attitude, and they responsibly handled my furniture and boxes as if it were their own. Best moving service I've used. I really regret not using them earlier. I could not be happier with my decision to hire Moving Helpers.  I cannot rave enough

Pros:
Showed up prepared and ready to get me moved
Efficiently loaded all of my boxes
Professionally wrapped my furniture that needed protection
Moved the bikes intact
When they were late, they called me to let me know they were on their way.

Cons:
When they said "on their way" he meant 0.5 hours away. Not the worst thing to happen in a move but a bit frustrating. 

Overall: I'd recommend but plan plenty of time as a buffer against tardiness. 

Tip: Overestimate the number of people you need. It's better to spend a little more for an extra person than pay for more hours because the number of people isn't enough. Our friends used the same movers, made that mistake and it ended up costing almost twice what our move did.

Note: I moved from a 2-bed, 2-bath second-story walkup apartment into a one-story house. I had everything boxed beforehand. I paid for 3 guys and they completed the move in just 1 day. Overall the value and service was great. They where professional friendly and very cost effective for us. I will be using them again to help with my future moves.
