IT WILL BE A COLD DAY IN HELL BEFORE KNAUER PLUMBING IS BACK IN MY HOUSE AGAIN. I HAVE USED THEM WITH PRETTY GOOD SUCCESS SEVERAL TIMES IN THE PAST. NEVER AGAIN.
Description of Work: I HAD A WASHING MACHINE HOSE BURST IN THE BASEMENT AT 10:30 PM. I CALLED KNAUER; THE DISPATCHER DID NOT CALL BACK FOR APPROX 30 MIN; WHEN SHE DID, SHE TOLD ME TO FIND THE SHUT-OFF VALVE; I THOUGHT IT WAS SELF-EVIDENT, BUT APPARENTLY WAS NOT, THAT IF I HAD KNOWN WHERE THE SHUT-OFF VALVE WAS, I WOULD BE DOING THIS FOR A LIVING AND NOT CALLING THEM AT 10:30 AT NIGHT. SHE THEN TOLD ME THE PLUMBER WOULD BE CHARGING FOR MILEAGE AND WAS COMING FROM SUSSEX (I LIVE ON THE EAST SIDE). SHE SAID, "YOU DIDN''T EXPECT ME TO HAVE SOMEONE IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD. DID YOU?"

THE PLUMBER HAD NOT WRITTEN DOWN START AND FINISH TIME, AND I WAS INITIALLY OVERCHARGED FOR LABOR.
