Description of Work: We ended up selling our house so we did not use Jim to re-roof the house. I have recommended him to friends because I was impressed with his responsiveness, professionalism, courtesy, good information, and follow up. He was quick to come back out when changes in the roofing requirements were needed and prompt to get new estimates to us. Without being a nuisance, he followed up with us and I appreciated his courtesy and time. His estimate was the second lowest and I would not have hesitated to use his company. I particularly liked this company because it does not use subcontractors.

+ -1 moreWe were very happy with their work. The workers were generally clean, very courteous and did the work in a timely fashion. They were responsive to our calls and reolved the issue with the gutters with no complications.
Description of Work: We had a complete tear off of the roof on garage and house. We also had new gutters put on the house.

+ -1 moreTHE PEOPLE FROM JM REMODELING ARE VERY NICE AND THEY CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES WELL. THEY LET US KNOW WHEN THEY WERE COMING AND CAME WHEN THEY PROMISED. I WAS A LITTLE UNHAPPY ABOUT THE SECOND BILL TO REPLACE ROTTEN WOOD, BUT SINCE THEY HAD TO COME BACK AFTER THE GUTTERS WERE INSTALLED I GUESS IT IS NOT UNREASONABLE.
Description of Work: WE CHOSE THIS COMPANY, EVEN THOUGH THEIR PRICE WAS THE HIGHEST, BECAUSE THEY SEEMED WILLING TO WORK WITH US IN OUR REQUEST TO HAVE THEM TAKE OFF THE OLD GUTTERS AND LET THE PAINTERS GET THE FASCIA BOARDS BEHIND THE GUTTERS PROTECTED WITH SEMI GLOSS PAINT BEFORE INSTALLING THE NEW GUTTERS. ALSO, NANCY, AT THE JM OFFICE, HAD RECOMMENDED SCHNEIDER PAINTING. WE CONTACTED THEM, ALONG WITH SOME OTHERS FOUND ON ANGIE'S LIST AND DECIDED ON THEM - GOOD REFERENCES - REASONABLE PRICES (BETWEEN THE OTHER TWO WE GOT ESTIMATES FROM) AND PROMISES TO DO REALLY GOOD PREP WORK. BOTH COMPANIES EXPRESSED WILLINGNESS TO COORDINATE WITH THE OTHER. IT WORKED OUT WELL, ALTHOUGH WE WERE WITHOUT GUTTERS MUCH LONGER THAN WE HAD EXPECTED. ANOTHER REASON FOR CHOOSING JM WAS THEY PROPOSED CHARGING $4 PER RUNNING FOOT TO REPLACE ROTTED WOOD WHICH THEY DID ON THE FIRST INSTANCE, BUT NOT IN THE SECOND. THEY SAY BECAUSE THEY SENT A CARPENTER AND IT WAS MORE EXPENSIVE WOOD. OVERALL WE ARE PLEASED WITH THE RESULTS.

+ -1 moreTHEY RESPONDED PROMPTLY AND IN A PROFESSIONAL MANNER. THE ESTIMATE WAS SENT IN A TIMELY FASHION. WE OPTED TO USE ANOTHER COMPANY BECAUSE THEIR ESTIMATE WAS APPROXIMATELY 15% LESS. WE HAD WORKED WITH THEM ON A PRIOR OCCASION AND WE WERE FAMILIAR WITH THE QUALITY OF THEIR WORK.
Description of Work: WE CONTACTED JM REMODELING FOR AN ESTIMATE TO TEAR OFF 2 LAYERS OF SHINGLES ON HOUSE AND GARAGE, REPLACE ROTTED BOARDS IN SOFFIT, FASCIA AND CHIMNEY CHASE.

+ 0 moreMARCEL WAS VERY CLEAR IN DESCRIBING THE JOB. HE WAS VERY PUNCTUAL. IT TOOK A LITTLE WHILE TO SCHEDULE THE JOB BECAUSE THEY WERE BUSY, BUT ONCE THEY BEGAN THEY WERE CONSISTENTLY ON TIME AND VERY CONSCIENTIOUS. THE JOB WAS COMPLETED IN A TIMELY MANNER. I WAS VERY HAPPY WITH THEIR WORK, AND PLEASED WITH THE WAY THEY TREATED ME. I HIRED THEM BECAUSE MY SISTER HAD THEM DO HER ROOF, AND SHE HIRED THEM ON THE WORD OF SOME NEIGHBORS. SOMEONE RECENTLY CALLED ME FOR A REFERRAL, AND I GAVE THEM MY RECOMMENDATION. I WOULD HIRE THEM AGAIN.
