Received call that they were at rental property without advance notice. Work done according to specifications.

They're excellent, excellent, excellent--that we can't say enough. It's owned by a husband and wife and their son had joined the company. They were responsive, easy to talk to, attentive and did excellent work. They have a variety of things that they could do for maintenance. We've learned to really like them.

They are outstanding. They had done numerous works for us on multiple projects and they always exceed our expectations. They do all kinds of work and they always do great work. I recommend that they are trustworthy, stand behind their estimates and the people that come and do the work are always the same people. They review what they did prior to make sure you're happy with it and as well as taking on the new path so there is a good follow through. They are very neat and knowledgeable. They don't need any directions, they come and go and pick up after themselves. We call them for everything. They're excellent with good value for money.

They showed up on time and worked very efficiently. They were very thorough in explaining what they were going to do. I thought the cost very reasonable and I will continue to use them in the future.

All work was completed before Christmas except for work dependent on flooring which was done by another company. They were prompt, neat, polite and communicated very well. They arranged for the building permit and interim inspections, which makes it easier on working homeowners. They cost a bit more than one other quote and lower than another, but the ease of working with JJB and the quality of the work really made a difference. One neighbor just looked at our new rec room and will be asking for a quote also.

Requested an estimate to have my chimney removed to below the roofline and the resulting hole patched. It was easy to set up a time for the estimate and Jeff (I think was his name) was very punctual in meeting me at the house before work. The estimate he gave was very competitive and complete, and was followed up in writing within a day. he even stopped and picked up a piece of litter by the street on the way back to the truck. A+ on that. The only reason I did not use them was I found out a friend could get me a family discount with another local reputable firm, hard to complete with that. I definitely intend to have JJB quote some other roof work I have coming in a few months.

We used them for one of my rental properties, and they did an excellent job. I just recently paid them up, there was a dispute about the payment. They were prompt, they were there when they said they would be there, they were courteous, and their workers were fast. Their responsiveness was very good.

Workers professional, punctual, neat (tied up rosebush, no trash or remains from work). A bit of a communication problem at one point, but later learned reason not connected to business. It was nothing major on our end, as when we asked for information, we did get it. I think this was not usual practice and would not happen again. Supplied all documentation we asked for promptly. Overall, very good experience.

The buyers chose to take the credit for the roof off the selling price and not have the work done; however, we highly recommended that the contact Ann and Jeff in the future for any needed work. We are confident that they would have done a wonderful job and if we need any work in the future we would call on them again.

Can't say enough about Jeff and his crew. They were hardworking, neat, skilled and professional. We are very happy with our new roof. There are two low pitched roof sections on the house and we have had problems with leaks in the past. We have had no problems since our roof was done in October of last year. A winter and a spring with no problems!

First when I looked up people I called and left messages with two or three people and he called me back right away. Every time after that, that I called him he called me back right away. He was very prompt and showed up when he said he was going to show up. The problem that I had was bigger than he had first thought or I had first thought which is why it cost more than I thought it would. The price that he gave us I thought was a little expensive and was necessary but the room is fixed perfectly now so he did really good.

I think he was more expensive. It was a toss up between them and another company. They called me and came out and talked to us. They were timely. The quote was almost the same as another company. I don't recall the exact amount. They were good. They were fine. They communicated well.

I'm very pleased with their work and the price was reasonable.

Dealing with this contractor was a pleasant and efficient experience. They scheduled a bid immediately, sent very detailed estimates, completed the work effectively and in a very timely fashion. They cleaned up the area well and everything ran super smooth. There pricing was very competitive. Highly reccommended.

Jeff responded immediately to my call, came over a gave me an estimate the following day, when excepted completed the job the that week. I couldn't be more happy with the response and the quality of work that was done. His men were polite and expirienced, everyhing was completed in one day and my worries were over. They cleaned up left everything better than the way they found it. I called Jeff with a concern after the job completed and he responded immediately and put my mind to ease. I would recommend them to anyone in need of ther their services.

Was very professional when giving estimate. Answered all questions and gave options. We just need to make a decison.

They replaced the cedar siding and stained it to match the rest of the house. They did a great job and I would highly recommend them.

They're wonderful. He came right away and looked at it. They're very prompt and efficient. I'm planning to use this company in the future. I'm still trying to decide how much work to have done.

It was kind of an iffy work. He seemed very nice to work with. It is an older house, and he came upon some frustrations with it. Then, it seemed like he just wanted to get the job over with. It was a rubberized porch decking, and we had some problems with it draining properly. There was also a problem when the inspector came out to look at it that the railings were not at the required height. He was actually recommended to us by a friend, and they had great success with him. So, this is really a disappointment. I do not know what to assess it to if he is not used to working with older houses or what the situation was, but it did not turn out to be that good. We got other estimates, and we thought that his price was a good value.

They did a really nice job. I remember trying to contact them to get an estimate on some additional work but I couldn't contact them anymore. I was really happy with their work. What they charged was significantly less than everyone else. They were very responsive and really anxious for the work. I did have one problem in what they did and they took a while to take care of it but they did take care of it.

JJB was extremely professional and produced work of high quality. The repairs were complicated and required the consultation of a structural engineer. Jeff Bartelt closely supervised the work, explained what was being done and why, maintained excellent documentation, and had highly skilled and polite workers. His staff performed the work well, were always on time, and were not intrusive to the household, maintaining a clean and efficient worksite. I have had other experiences with home repair companies, some of whom have hired workers who lacked other than basic skills. This is not true of the staff of JJB. They are highly skilled. I would highly recommend this company.

I called and spoke with JJB Home Improvements about several odd jobs that needed fixing at my house. They returned my calls promptly. We arranged for a date to come out and review the work needed and provide an estimate. Jeff, the owner, had to cancel and he called me in advance to arrange another time to meet. When he came out, he was extremely friendly and professional. I showed him everything that I needed done. He listened carefully, took notes and photos. I received a written estimate for the work via email within a few days. The price was reasonable for the work to be performed. Everything was a fixed price except for finding and repairing a roof leak, which was quoted at an hourly rate for time plus materials. This is what I would expect, since roof leaks can be very tricky to find and could be rather time consuming. Once located, the true cost to repair can very quite a bit. Once we signed the contract, we scheduled a date for the work. Jeff showed up when expected, and the work was completed to my satisfaction on two separate visits. Even though I had a relatively small series of jobs to complete, I was treated with great service and attention. Jeff investigate the roof leak and discovered that a skylight, which I had suspected was leaking, was actually installed correctly. Even so, he re-sealed nail holes and re-installed shingles above the skylight. All of this was accomplished in less than one hour, so there ended up being no additional charges for this work. I liked that Jeff was knowledgeable about roofing and honest about what needed to be done. We have not had leaks re-appear since this repair, so the work that Jeff did fixed the problem. I am very pleased with the work and I would hire JJB Home Improvements again.

The job was efficiently repaired, Jeff , the owner was very professional.

Jeff's prices were in-line with other quotes we had gotten and his responsiveness was what caused us to pick him. He was able to match some other quotes and get our house on the schedule quickly. Our house is pretty old and once the roof was being torn off, we found out that there was no vapor barrier behind the pitch of our tongue and groove ceiling. Because of this, soot from the roof and the attic was coming through the ceiling into our bedroom (the part of the roof they started). Jeff stopped the work right away when I brought this to his attention and helped put visqueen up in the room so they could continue working. Jeff was very professional, even while I was pretty upset, and helped us out quite a bit. The next day, Jeff came in first thing in the morning (he wanted to make sure he came in with clean clothes) to put up more plastic lining and caulk up some cracks in the plaster to continue with the work. He also provided us with a new shop-vac to clean up the mess in the bedroom which we returned once all the work was done. Throughout the project, Jeff gave us supplies so that my wife and I could protect the rest of the house and also provided a credit for carpet cleaning. Jeff didn't have to do any of this as he's not responsible for the inside of the house, but he worked very hard to make sure my wife and I were happy. Jeff and his crew were always on time and Jeff called to let us know if weather was going to prevent some work from being done. He was very good about keeping the garage (where he needed to get to a plug) closed and locked throughout the process. A roof tear off is pretty messy, but Jeff's crew cleaned it up quickly. Overall, I was happy with the work and would recommend Jeff to my friends.
