Terrible experience. Do not trust Willie Pritchard. Do not hire him. And definitely do not give him any money. Look this guy up and you'll find all you need to know. I ignored past reviews and chose to trust that he was "rebuilding his business" and that proved to be a mistake. After giving Willie over $10,000, we have very little to show for it. We hired Willie after he walked us through a house he was working on down the street from us. He claimed to have done all the work himself and the house was BEAUTIFUL (we later found out from the homeowner that most of the work was done by subcontractors and NOT Willie so we were misled from the start) Willie agreed to replace our kitchen cabinets, backsplash and countertops and also to build a custom pantry for a small awkward corner. He quoted us $10,500 and on May 25th we signed a contract and wrote him a check for $6000. That's when I decided to look him up (my mistake for not doing this earlier)-I called him out after reading all the past bad reviews and he assured me that he had rebuilt his business and needed my good review. I chose to trust him. After talking to him about more work (walling in two spaces in our basement, doing some electric work and installing a bathroom sink) he asked for an additional $1500 which we gave him. He cashed both of those checks on June 2nd. The agreement was that he would complete our work while we were traveling from June 9th-18th. From June 1st-9th we had a crew at our house twice to start framing out the basement-we were told it was a two day job but little was done in those two days and then for days we were repeatedly told that someone would work on our house only to have no one show up. When we got home on June 18th (after being pressured for money to pay an electrician and plumber while we were away who were supposedly finishing up the job) We found that we had NOTHING in our kitchen. No cabinets, nothing and our bathroom sink was not hooked up so we brushed our teeth in the bath faucet that night. Willie told us the kitchen cabinets would be delivered to our house within 14 days. Over the next week he slowly patched our old kitchen back together but the electric still wasn't done (even though we'd supposedly paid for it because it was finished) and there were so many problems with the plumbing that we had to hire someone else to fix both sinks and finish reinstalling our bathroom cabinet-he did the job in 15 minutes and refused to let us pay him because he was so frustrated with the work Willie and his crew had done. On June 22nd after pushing Willie to tell us an exact date for the kitchen cabinets to arrive, he admitted that he had not actually ordered them (or anything) yet and had spent our money on other jobs. He then said he would have to wait on checks from other jobs in order to complete ours. Yes, you read that right...we were now left waiting for OTHER PEOPLE to pay him so he could get materials WE HAD ALREADY PAID FOR. I was fed up and told him he needed to meet me at Home Depot and order the supplies-he agreed to do so the following Saturday but stood me up and stopped returning my texts or calls. When I confronted his crew they were shocked because they had not been paid in months and were struggling to finish other jobs due to lack of materials (so they had no clue where our money had been spent) Willie responded to us once we threatened legal action and agreed to pay for the materials...but kept missing deadlines to do so. After a couple weeks of being told "I'll get to you" We ordered the materials ourselves and were forced to put them on a credit card (so we've now paid for everything TWICE). I have given Willie every opportunity to pay us back even in small amounts, he has made no gesture to follow through on this and has not returned texts or calls in nearly a week. After contacting the other homes in the neighborhood we found out he had stolen materials from one home and returned them to the store for store credit and has left the other home without a front door with their porch floor ruined from weathering. My friend posted about our experience on Facebook and through that post I was connected with DOZENS of other local families that he has done this too. Either taking the money and not showing up to do the work or doing poor work that had to be redone or caused more damage to the home. He has been doing this since 2011 and shows no signs of stopping so STEAR CLEAR!

It was the worst nightmare. He charged me $5000. The quality of work was terrible. He left a lot of gutters broken and when it rained it leaked. It took him more than 22 days to do the work and he did not even finish. He broke the contract by not finishing the job and not replacing the garage roof.
Description of Work: He was supposed to replace my entire roof and he did not finish. I had four other roofers look at his work and they said the roof had to be redone.
