A coworker and neighbor of Joe recommended me to J. W. Rudolph Mudjacking & Concrete, LLC. My coworker told me that Joe would make sure that I knew the right way my work should be done and why regardless of whether I used his company or not. Joe explained pinning vs not pinning, sealing vs not sealing, fiber vs wire mesh in a way that didn't make me feel dumb. I asked that he call my boy friend who lived in Georgia to reexplain the things he had just explained to me and he was always happy to do that even though I had him do that several times. Joe always took time to talk to me, answer my questions, and let me know when they were done for the night and when they would be back. Our only problem was with Mother Nature but once the rain and chipmunks stopped causing trouble the project proceeded smoothly. Yes, we had a friendly chipmunk try to leave footprints in the fresh cement! Since completion I have received many compliments on how nice the cement work looks. My ninty year old mother lives with me and the way Joe transitioned the height of the porch to the height of the garage has provided a smaller step into the house and a gentle ramp/slope from the porch to garage. I have referred Joe to a friend of mine and when I am ready to do my other driveway I will be contacting Joe again. I have also told my friends about my experience with Joe.
Description of Work: Joe removed my old driveway, installed a drain for downspouts and porch runoff to extend out to the ditch (via a trench) out front, poured my driveway, patio, porch, and installed head walls over my culvert in my 2nd driveway. He also had to redo some brick work along my porch and reinstall the support post for the porch roof. Once the cement was done they brought in top soil and spread it around the affected areas and even put the extra in my garden.

Joe was over promptly to look at the project and give us some ideas for color and texturing. He was prompt with a quote. He started the day he promised and was finished in a few days. Joe is easy to work with, very talented and can see the bigger picture. We've had many compliments of the finished project from the neighbors and we would highly recommend Joe and his crew.
Description of Work: Removed/excavated a very old driveway and gave us a great new driveway and front door entrance with texturing and color.

Joe was very friendly & brought a photo book of his completed projects to us at the time of estimate. He spent over an hour explaining & determining what would be best for our patio. He did not have the stamp pattern we were hoping to use which is why we chose to use someone else.
Description of Work: Quoted a 15' x 24' stamped concrete patio.

I paid this contractor to get him to leave. He was acting very unstable and unprofessional.
Description of Work: Joe Woda accepted completion of a sidewalk and steps that had been already set with forms. He did not follow thru with many of the things we agreed upon. He actually took the day off and left a crew that needed supervision. They improperly put felt against my house, as well as very loose layers under the back door. Understandably, the freeze/thaw contrast requires space under the door, however the felt should have been tight to the house with space above for movement. Mr. Woda was incredibly rude, to the extent of being a bully. He attempted to caulk the open spaces. The repair is unsightly.

He said he would call me in a few days when he was in the area. He's never called me back. It just disappointed me that he didn't call.
