Immaculate Connection Landscaping Service

Nick and his team at Immaculate Connection have worked on landscaping and home projects for me for several years. Some of the projects have included installing a raised stone herb garden at the side of my house (which is stunning), trimming bushes and trees, spreading mulch throughout the gardens, window washing, gutter cleaning and snow removal. Nick schedules me in on a timely basis and since I've been working with Immaculate Connection for several years, many on his team have been to my house several times, which gives me peace of mind knowing my property is in good hands. Immaculate Connection is not going to be the least expensive out there, but they do quality work, are punctual, polite and very dependable. I highly recommend this firm.

It was a quick job, one of my lights did get broken but that was only complaint I had about the service. I would recommend them to other people, and they did clean up after they were done.

Went very well. Nick was flexible in meeting to go over details, work done exactly when promised, very satisfactory! It was a pleasure to come home from work and see it all done, and yard looking so tidy.

I don't take leaving bad reviews lightly, but unfortunately I have to give them an F in all categories since they did the wrong job, didn't return my call when I left him a voice-mail about it and I had to pay a different company $155 to come fix it. They are way backed up on their workload so it took several weeks for them to come out and I think by the time they got here to do the job he had forgotten what it was he was supposed to be doing. I bought a coupon for installing mulch in one area and another one for 4 hours of additional landscaping labor. He came out about a week later after I called him and I gave me quotes on some additional work as well since I was considering having the lava rock removed on 3 sides of the house so I could regrade it. I ended up not needed to regrade though on those 3 sides so had decided to keep the lava rock in the beds around the house. I spoke with him on the telephone and explained that I wanted the mulch installed in the front of the house and around my daughters swingset area, and with the 4 hour coupon I wanted them to dig out the window wells deeper (4" below the bottom of the window). He said that they would be out in a few weeks to do the job. On the day of the job I didn't see the owner-- his crew showed up and I asked them if they needed any information from me or if they knew what they were supposed to be doing, and the guy on the crew said they already knew what they were to be doing so I left for work and never saw or heard from them again. To my dismay when I got home from work that day I saw that they had not dug out the window wells at all, and instead had removed and hauled away all of my lava rocks from the flower beds on the south and east sides of the house. Admittedly I had a lot going on after that and didn't call to let him know that they did the wrong job for about a month after that, but he never returned my call and finally this week I had to pay a different company $155.28 to come and put mulch down in the areas where they removed all of my lava rock from the beds. So I basically got nothing out of the 4 hours of labor coupon I bought from him for him for $149 besides a bill from a different company to come out and replace what they had removed. He had sent me a bill for $80 for extra mulch that was needed, so right now taking into account the $149.00 coupon I bought for 4 hours of labor and the $155.28 bill from a different company to come put mulch down there he owes me $224.28 but I am sure that I will never hear from him again. I think that he is very disorganized and not very professional and I not only did not get what I paid him for, I had to pay someone else on top of that just to come and fix it. Edit to the owner: Thank you for insulting ALL OF US who use Angie's List in your reply. Instead of blaming your customers for the mess that you make of your work, maybe the real answer is to start using contracts to make sure everyone is in agreement about the work you are supposed to do? Or else close down your business and go work for someone else where you can get the supervision than you need. Angie's List doesn't even mediate monetary disputes, so to say that I'm a liar and making everything up to get out of paying $80 is pretty weak. You screwed the job up all by yourself and all you have also proven with your response is that you are unwilling to take ownership of your mistakes.

Like many of the Angielist coupon deals, they were good once they got here, but they aren't very easy to get them. They were very busy but it took 3 calls to get them out and then they couldn't even let you know WHEN they would finally do the service. Good service once the guys who do the work show up, but scheduling and management not a strong suit of theirs. I would not use them again. They are good and the price is fine, but if you are on a timeline or schedule, they may be better out there. Update: After reading their response I upgraded their responsiveness from a C to a B. Overall I gave them an A and they did a good job, we just differ on our opinion on the ease of scheduling them. My wife was here and instructed them what we wanted. They never said anything to me about me making them wait 45 minutes, as my wife showed them what we wanted. I didn't even know about that until I read their response.

Basically I would never use this guy and I would never recommend him. His follow up besides the initail first call was horrible and he is argumentative. Because he didn't do any work for us it is hard for me to give him a rating on his work, but with so many landscapers that are out there I will choose ones that are trust worthy and are nice to work with. Update This guy just proved my point on his lack of professionalism, not only am I telling the truth it is a factual, he also did not tell us to find someone else to do the work.

They were timely and they were very neat and clean. I would recommend them in the future.

Contacted Immaculate Connection after a referral from Menard's..........the name intrigued me. Left a message which was returned by the end off the day and we were able to set up an appointment for Nick to come out according to my schedule. Nick listened to my thoughts and ideas for the vision I had for my front patio. Then I listened to his rational for what could or should be done since that is one of the reasons I wanted to hire a professional. This is the reason why I hired his company........he came across as honest and sincere in what he was telling me even when it was against what I initially thought I wanted done. He would make the statement that he will do whatever I requested but wanted to let me know of the other options. At the end I agreed with most [but not all] he suggested. It took 3 days for Nick's crew to complete the project. Nick kept me updated on the progress and arranged to meet on Memorial Day so he could clarify some planning issues. All of his crew were very friendly and personable as well as professional. They answered any questions I had without making me feel like I was bothering them. They cleaned up after the work was done leaving the patio with the flower pots where they belonged. I now have the best looking front yard on my block. I will hire Immaculate Connection for any future projects and would recommended them to friends and family.

We have a large place with many gardens and do all of the work ourselves, but the Immaculate Connection Landscaping Service mulch deal through Angie's List was very appealing with a graduation party coming up. When Nick came out to take a look at things in advance, we decided to get quite a bit of edging around gardens and walkways done as well. We couldn't be more pleased! The two workers were very meticulous and professional about everything that they did, and the results were spectacular. We've never received so many compliments about how great our place looks. We highly recommend this firm!.

He was very hesitant to come out in the first place and was very argumentative about the work to be done. We debated on the phone about the evergreen tree that he did not want to trim initially. Turned out that he did trim the tree and the evergreens in front of the house. He did a great job cleaning up. Then I received a bill. I don't believe any criteria on the Big Deal was exceeded and if it was I was not contacted.

The workers were very professional. It was a very windy and cold day.

Nick and his crew did a great job. They exceeded my expectations and I enjoyed having them work at my home. Very nice guys!

Nick, the owner, was honest and professional, and he gave me a very fair estimate for the work. The person who came out to do the work was meticulous and I was extremely pleased with the work he did. Not only did he do a great job - but he went above and beyond expectations - helping load some things into my father's truck. I would hire Immaculate Connection again - they did great work at a fair price.

I loved his answering machine message - it was humous. He was quick to schedule an appointment and since I worked most days worked around my schedule on perform the estimate. Once he took the order his team were quick to execute on the order and the lawn looked great as it add definition to the curb appeal.

I told you that I did not have the work done yet!!!!

He also did a spring and fall clean up for me as well. They always came when needed. I will use them again.

I called Nick and he called me back the same day. He came over the next morning a left a quote with me as we had discussed. I accepted his quote and my gutters were thoroughly cleaned about a week later which was within the time frame he specified. The job done was excellent and I'm completely satisified. I would absolutely recommend him for home gutter cleaning.

Everything went excellent. Nick, the owner, was easy to work with and worked well with my schedule. The price he quoted me was the price I paid. The guys were very friendly and answered all of my questions. Nick came and checked on the crew from time to time.

I purchased a Big Deal coupon on Angie's List for a landscape design and drawing from Immaculate Connection, and I was so impressed with Nick that I hired him to do the whole project. I can't say enough good things about Nick and his crew -- they did an amazing job. These guys know how to work! Nick went the extra mile on several aspects of the project, and was easy to work with. My new yard looks fantastic!

Our spring was very wet, but Nick managed to get out and start the process to edge the gardens. He came back to check on it and let us know that he would be getting to us in the next week. His crew came out and did a WONDERFUL job in one day. They had the gardens weeded, mulched, a new chip path in the back with stone edging to help keep it in place, they even edged some smaller areas in the large back garden to create some smaller areas of attention. It looks beautiful. Along with that, they trimmed all the shrubs. They also dug out an area where our sump pump empties, added landscape cloth, smaller stones and surrounded it with larger landscape rocks. Our old "water feature" is no longer an eyesore. The staff is wonderful. They are pleasant to talk to and clean up after themselves. They seem to love their work and it shows in the final product. They are continuing to help with bi-weekly maintenance.

Our twenty year old landscaping needed some real work and Nick responded promptly and professionally to our cry for help. We had overgrown and weedy beds around the house, and in the front and the backyard, and needed to finish a newly installed walkway with a fence and new plantings. Our concerns were: how soon could the job be done, what would be the cost to renovate, and could it be done in such a way that we could maintain it going forward (we both have some physical limitations for yard work). Nick returned the phone call the same day and made an appointment to see us within that week. He arrived promptly and walked around the yard with me, taking notes and sketching as we discussed the project. Nick took care to preserve what was viable and salvageable, and he was diplomatic when he disagreed with our thoughts. Within two weeks we had signed the bid, which Nick had divided as requested, to possibly be done in stages. We went with the entire project, and are very, very pleased with the results. The crew came in one day to do the "demolition" and removal, and install the fence footings. Nick was out there directing his crew of 9 like a symphony conductor. Quite honestly, it went so efficiently, I said it seemed like having "Extreme Landscape Makeover" here redoing our yard. The following day they came back and did the felting, the plantings and the mulching, as well as installing the fence. The backyard bed was completed after another treatment of herbicide to fully eradicate the stubborn overgrown Bishop's Weed which had taken over the entire bed. The new stock was healthy and thriving, and we have a blooming, beautiful and lovely to look at yard. It's so great to be able to go out and enjoy the yard, rather than feeling guilty and stressed out about "how are we ever going to get that done?" We know that there will be maintenance as we go forward, but it is manageable. Nick has an artistic eye and a great sense for how to pull this together--even the colors of the plantings complement each other and our home beautifully.

This company contacted me with a quotation and offer for $99. They suggested that they do the work instead of showing us the plan and take the cost off the work because they were backed up. They didn't commit to when we would recieve the plan if we decided to wait.

It was disappointing, but then again, you get what you pay for.

We had Nick from IC come over and we walked the yard with him. We discussed what we wanted and he told us what he thought would look nice. The more we talked, the more comfortable we felt that he would do a great job for us. We decided we didn't need the plans and just had him give us a written quote and pricing. We were in a hurry to get it in before May 27th and that was the only way he could get it done that fast. We would have to wait weeks for plans. After we accepted his quote, he came over one more time to discuss the details of his plan with us. We decided to make some changes and he requoted. It came up to more than what we wanted to pay, so Nick let us pay 1/3 down, 1/3 upon completion and 1/3 in 6 monthly payments without interest through November. Very accomodating. The nursery stock he used was top notch. They removed some old bushes, a small stump and volcanic rock in a side bed and replaced with new stock and mulch. The weed barrier is heavy commercial grade. For the most part I like the design he came up with and it was executed well. However, he put some hostas under a large pine in the front yard and they are not all the same. Some are verigated with large leaves and others have solid thin green leaves. I personally would have preferred if they would have matched, but that's the risk we took by not having plans drawn up and getting it done so quickly. Nick wasn't here for the whole install, so maybe his crew got some mixed up with ones they were putting in the back. All the trees, bushes and plants are doing well except one small perinnial flower died. He said that all the plants had a 1 year replacement guarantee. We have a watering schedule that we keep religiously. I believe we got good value for our money and I would recommend Nick and Immaculate Connection to others. I will use him again when my mulch needs to be replenished.

They were very punctual. They came when the snowfall was over 2 inches. They completed the work quickly and do a great job, getting the very driveway clear.
