Maybe he didn't have his morning coffee maybe he woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Being rude and sardonic are not two things you want to be with a potential customer.

Robert was AWESOME! We called him on a Sunday morning and he showed up later that day. He was friendly and punctual and explained our options. The cost was a little higher than I estimated, but, to be fair, I had no idea how much it would cost. It was TOTALLY worth it to fix a pretty new TV. Absolutely recommend for any TV repairs.

I took the TV into their shop. The estimate of parts needed plus labor was too high for me to justify on a seven-year-old TV. I let them dispose of it and went shopping for a new one.

I dropped my TV off Saturday afternoon and as promised they contacted me Monday with a diagnosis and price. He explained the problem and provided me with the options and costs. I choose to have him order the part and repair the TV. A week later as promised, the part came and they installed the part but found out that the initial problem was worse than anticipated. He offered that I could do one of two things, have him proceed further at additional cost, or his recommendation have him return the part and junk the TV at no cost. His rationale which I agreed with was the additional cost of parts would most likely be more that what I could buy a new similar TV for. While I hope to not need his services again, I would definitely come back if needed.

Robert is an excellent communicator and asked permission prior to purchasing additional parts to complete the job. His initial diagnosis was correct and with the repair the TV is like new. I'd paid a lot for this TV as it was one of the first UHD 4K TVs on the market.

It went pretty well. Free Estimate, and then a repair cost that I deemed fair. Also mentioned that even if the cost of repair was higher once he replaced the part the original estimate would not change.

Bob was very upfront and honest with me. He explained to me that the screen replacement cost would be almost as much as the original price of the set. Two other repair places wanted to repair it (for about the cost of a new TV) It was refreshing to find a honest repair person.

We took it to his shop for an estimate. Within a short amount of time he had it diagnosed with a fair price for the repair. Throughout the entire process he kept us up to date and informed in a friendly, professional manner.

Bob was fantastic. Fair price. Had tv back to us by the promised time. Gave us clear information about what work was done and how to maintain the tv to prevent future problems.

Our TV went completely black.......no power, no picture, no voice over a week end. After reviewing recommendations on Angie's List, we called his business on Monday morning and he immediately responded. We gave him the Model Number of the set. He discussed with us that he would set up an appt when he was "coming our way" with his travels. We received a call back by Monday afternoon that he could come and evaluate the TV at our home.......a "bonus" of not having to take the TV set into a store for repair. He arrived as scheduled and immediately repaired the set. He replaced the circuit board that had "blown" and showed us what had "shorted out" causing the problem. Because he had received the Model Number from us before the visit....he brought the correct circuit board with him ....on the outside chance that it would need replacing. He explained the repair in relation to the type of TVs currently available on the market for purchase. He was very professional in dress and in his discussion of the repair. He repaired the TV rapidly.....not wasting time. His knowledge of TVs is very extensive. He is quite articulate and easily spoke with terminology that my Electrical Engineering husband comprehended yet was able to explain the repair in terms that a non-engineering person could understand.

OMG!! Found him on Angie's List, gave him a call - he was at our house in 15 minutes! Since I had told him the symptoms of our tv, he already knew what the problem was and got right to it. He replaced several items, soldered the new ones on and our tv was up and running in no time. Plus he gave us a lesson in new tv's and what to look for and what to stay away from. Great guy! Will definitely recommend him to friends and family - forever!

I called Higgins and he was able to come take a look at my TV on the same day. Arrival was prompt. Very professional and helpful. I had made an attempt to replace one board on my own, but since it didn't work, Robert explained what the next logical steps would be and why. We determined that another board should be replaced and we searched online for a way to buy the board. Since he knew I could do this on my own, he was great and told me to call him after I installed the new board. The new board did not work and the next step was to replace the LED lights on the screen which was not something I could do, nor did I want to pay for. Robert knew what I was looking for so we exchanged a refurbished TV with a 6 mo warranty. Price was very reasonable. I was very pleased with his professionalism. He was prompt, courteous and reasonable. A very good experience.

We were having color problems with our Sony Bravia LCD television and decided to call a TV repairman. Checking on Angie's List, we called Higgins In Home TV Repair as we found his reviews were so great. He didn't disappoint! Over the phone, Bob Higgins worked with us, asking us questions and having us try different steps to isolate the problem and help him diagnose our problem. Without making a house call, Bob was able to determine that a wire had disconnected from our cable box. We recently had our cable tv repairman out for a problem and he replaced the box but did not properly re-connected one of the wires. We offered to pay him for his time & trouble, but he refused. We found him to be kind, professional and very experienced. We will always call Higgins In Home TV Repair for any future problems. Thank you, Bob!

Robert called to let me know when he would arrive, was very professional and explained what he was doing, he even showed us exactly what happened to the bulb. I will refer him to anyone I know for future TV repair. The fact that he answered when I called and was able to come within a few hours was remarkable.

Robert arrived on time and accurately diagnosed the problem with the tv. He was professional, courteous, and did a great job. I would highly recommend him.

I called Robert last night to find out if it would be worth repairing a 32" RCA tube TV. Robert said he would come between 9 and 9:30 this morning to look at it. It was snowing this morning and the roads were really bad. When the phone rang at 8:40 I assumed he was calling to tell me he had to reschedule. Instead Robert was calling from my driveway asking if it was ok that he was here early. I was ecstatic :) Robert took the back off the TV and explained what he thought might be the problem. He is EXCEPTIONALLY KNOWLEDGEABLE about TV repairs. He's been doing it for over 30 years. Within a few minutes he had found the problem and repaired it. He even took the time to vacuum out the back of the TV. Robert is kind, honest, and professional. I will be calling him for all my TV repair issues in the future and will be giving his name and number to my friends and relatives.

Robert demonstrated a strong commitment to his customer - he initially diagnosed the t.v. at the home of my Aunt's, did several on site repairs that appeared very legitimate - and basically replaced the entire system / boards with warranty. A final part of course had to be ordered and when the company that billed Robert for the part - later was out of the part - Robert once again had to come over and get a part to ship it out. It was at this time his commitment went to another level - he brought a very large T.V. to my Aunt's home while awaiting the part to be shipped, fixed and then shipped back. A major form of entertainment for a legally blind 84 year old is the very large T.V. that she was used to - and Robert brought one for the interim. The part came back - Robert replaced it, the larger repaired TV is working fine with a warranty - my Aunt's routine was not very disrupted and that is all thanks to Robert (and his brother) customer focused effort.

called him at 9 am ,came at 10. took tv apart, and located the problem, quoted me a price, and I gave him the go ahead. completed the work quickly, and was one of the nicest person you will ever want to meet. TV picture was better than new. Made a great new friend.

He restored the TV to better than new. It has a much crisper, brighter picture than ever before! He was very honest and fair and he educated us about our TV. In the future, Robert Higgins is the only TV repairmen I would ever use!
