 + -1 moreFrustrating! They tell me there is a warranty. Asked me if car is at an aftermarket garage then said that that's OK and they'll reimburse. Next day they said not reimbursable, because of warranty letter. Then denied, because it was not an Emergency. Told C/S never received the letter, maybe because sent to old Chicago address that they had to change when I called them?? Everyone had a different reason why I was not going to get $130.04 back. Worst of all that it was not an EMERGENCY to them at 1 am on a Sunday morning and I cannot steer the car properly, but that's OK to drive 1 hour & 45 minutes home on a freeway! I spoke to the dealership and tried to do the right thing. I followed what I thought was the right protocol. No one said otherwise. I spoke to Ford Motor Company customer service. Reimbursement should have come from dealership. C/s was surprised that dealership told me that reimbursements were mailed to Ford Motor Company. Lies, Lies, Lies!
Description of Work: Spring coil broke on my car at 1am Sunday 6/11 in Chicago after work/wrapped into itself and beneath base it sits on. Drive home from work- 1 hour 45 min. Hard to steer left/right. Made large thud sound. No dealerships were open so it was taken to aftermarket garage. Had to wait til 6/12 for part. Called Steve@dealer in Milwaukee had part, under warranty. Told him what happened 6/11. He asked if car is at aftermarket garage (Yes), said reimbursable-Bring in parts & labor receipts. 6/13 brought in receipts to Steve was told not reimbursable because due to warranty must be done at dealership, stated I had a warranty ltr that says that. Told him never received ltr. Miles/srvc Mgr also agrees w/Steve. Called Jason/Ford cust. srvc. who changed old Chicago address to WI in computer/ contacted Miles who said denied because it was not emergency, nothing said about warranty. Told Jason, could not steer very well, asked(3x) Ford did not care for my safety? Silent pause. Denied by Mgmt.
