+ -1 moreMy son thought he could do this work himself, but really looked at the situation and knew it would be tricky. We called Heiden Plumbing from the better business book and they were very nice. We needed a plumber fast and they were out to the house the next day. It took the man 3 hours to finish the job. I was very satisfied with the promptness and knowledge of the job.
Description of Work: I replaced the shower mixer. It was out-dated and therefore I needed all new piles.

+ -1 moreAll of their technicians are very good. They explain what they're doing when they fix the repairs. They show you why they had to do it, what's wrong, etc. I had a rental where the the toilet kept overflowing. There were two small children who stayed there. The technician found out the reason for the problem, there were two small Lego blocks clogging it up. He then gave them a nice lecture about not putting them there in the future. They are my go to plumbing company and I will continue to use them.
Description of Work: They unclogged a sewer with a huge mechanical snake. They did this work for me around June 12th. I use them consistently for plumbing repairs, leaks, faucets, toilets, etc.

+ -1 moreOur service person, Scott, arrived on time and was polite and professional. He listened to me explain the problem and agreed that the valve should be replaced. He worked efficiently and was done in about an hour. There was no mess left and the valve works like a charm with no leak.
Description of Work: The valve leading to our outside water source was leaking in the basement. We wanted the valve replaced. They did so in about an hour, give or take.

Description of Work: They found some pipes under my home that were collapsing. They communicated well in plain terms what I needed to do. I was very confident in their diagnosis and will have them out to do the work. For now they cleared my line and set an appointment for the warmer months.

+ -1 moreKim found one of their plumbers who could respond the same day after another job went more quickly than planned. My step daughter was in distress because the previous day a plumber she had hired had broken a pipe or created a hole in it when trying to snake a tub drain to clear an obstruction and then walked off the job. She appealed to me and I called Heiden which has been reliable in the past at my house for both plumbing and furnace problems. Terry performed rather unique work in my daughter's very old house in very tight quarters (the closet next to the bathroom had the access panel) very quickly and with a creative attitude and for what I thought was a reasonable price.
Description of Work: Tub drain work was botched by another plumber when they broke a pipe. Heiden came in and replaced the old trap and repaired the damage of the broken connector elbow pipe. A lot more complicated than I can make it sound.

+ -1 moreCompany kept making suggestions on different things to try before they came out and gave me an estimate. At first I thought they were just being helpful and I followed their advice. I soon got the feeling they were just putting me off. After determining that I did in fact have a break in my sewer line, I was told three times the person I needed to talk to would get back to me for an estimate. They never did. I went with another company that came out that very day to look at my problem and give me a written estimate.

+ -1 morei called the day before the 4th of july but thet were still able to come out. the service man was polite and didn't seem to be trying to milk the time. he explained that the repair was going to be time consuming and made suggestions to save time and money. he had trouble disconecting the fan from the motor because of the age of the unit, so he took the whole thing in to work on it and that stopped the clock. He returned after the 4th to finish the work and everything worked fine.

+ -1 moreTim of Heiden Plumbing arrived early for the estimate. He was friendly and informative and helped us to fine-tune our order to suit my parents' needs. On the scheduled day of work, Tim called early to say the parts hadn't arrived from the manufacturer. He was willing to do what he could that day and return the next or, if we were flexible, to wait a day until the part arrived and do the entire job. We were flexible so rescheduled for the following morning. Tim himself came to do the work and did so quickly and efficiently. We were very satisfied with the entire job.

+ -1 moreThe actual quality of the job was good, however I was disappointed with the service from Heiden, and the mess they left behind. I had tried many times to call them and find what the problem was with the drilling, but did not get a return call from the manager of the job. They also charged extra to do the work, with no response to my inquiries. They did not live up to the contract of restoring the lawn to it's original condition.
Description of Work: I had a water main break under my front lawn. Heiden gave me an estimate and a I signed a contract. They came out, dug a hole but could not get through. They had to dig another hole in the middle of my lawn. The problem was, there were stones that prohibited the drill from going through. They were not boulders or rocks but large stones. Because of this, Heiden tried to charge an additional $500. They also refused to restore my lawn to its original condition. Finally, they said they'd 'forgive' the additional $500 fee for not repairing my lawn. I was tired of fighting and just paid the bill. My front yard has a pile of stones in the middle, and the lawn is totally ripped up.

Description of Work: Heiden replaced water supply to toilet, installed new toilet, removed old tub and cut out drywall to install new tub. They ordered and delivered new tub, installed shut off valves to water in sink cabinet, removed old sink and counter, then installed new sink and counter. Put in all new faucet and tub hardware.

Description of Work: I WAS HAVING A LEAK IN THE BACK OF A TOILET THAT WAS CRACKED. WHEN HE CAME OUT HE SAID IT DIDN'T NEED TO BE REPLACED, HE COULD JUST REPLACE THE SEAL. A FEW MONTHS LATER MY HUSBAND, WHO USES THIS BATHROOM, TOLD ME IT WAS LEAKING AGAIN. I WENT IN AND LOOKED AT IT AND IT WAS CRACKED ON THE OTHER SIDE NOW. I CALLED THEM TO TELL THEM THIS AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD REPLACE IT FOR $329.00. I TOLD THEM I HAD ALREADY SPENT $200 AND I DIDN'T THINK I SHOULD HAVE TO PAY THE FULL AMOUNT FOR A TOILET THEY TOLD ME JUST NEEDED A SEAL. THE ONLY THING THEY WOULD DO IS WAIVE THE TRIP CHARGE,WHICH WAS $29.00. LONG STORY SHORT, I HAD TWO OTHER COMPANIES LOOK AT IT AND THEY SAID IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN REPLACED THE FIRST TIME, ESPECIALLY BEING AS OLD AS IT WAS. IT HAS RECENTLY BEEN REPLACED BY ANOTHER PLUMBING CO. FROM THE LIST WHO WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND CLEANED UP AFTER HIMSELF. CATHIE

THEIR PRICE, AFTER A $46 TRIP CHARGE, WAS 1/3 WHAT ANOTHER PLUMBER QUOTED US FOR THE SAME WORK. WITH A $10 COUPON FROM THE YELLOW PAGES, AND A 2% SENIOR DISCOUNT, THIS JOB WAS A REAL BARGAIN. EVERYONE WE SPOKE WITH WAS POLITE AND PROFESSIONAL.
