As this seemed expensive, Hawkins was very helpful in determining a cost/benefit analysis. Work included a warranty and a maintenance schedule.

I looked up the store and visited, and met the dear woman that was so helpful in figuring out what exact service would be needed. Later I called her to schedule a pick-up date. When the clock man arrived he examined the clock, advised me what needed to be done, that it would take about a month and an approximation of the cost. We agreed, and the Clock went in about December 20, 2013 and was repaired and returned and re-installed in late January, 2014. The clock was immaculate, the newly rebuilt mechanism is quieter than before and the pulley wheels make less noise when pulling the weights up to rewind. I was completely satisfied by the whole transaction. They are very kind and gracious people to work with..

I learned a lot about my clock from the friendly folks at Hawkins Clock Center. I was told about the time period it came from and the approximate value of the clock. Based on that value I decided to spend the $250 to have it repaired. It is working perfectly now, plus it is clean inside and outside. I love hearing it chime on the hour and half hour. I would recommend this business to anyone needing to have a clock repaired or to buy a clock. It was a wonderful experience just being in the store and seeing all the items they have available. Something for everyone!

The work was complete when promised, but when I got the clock home the chimes were off by 15 minutes. I had to make another trip to Hawkins to have that corrected. They were very quick to make the correction and were extremely apologetic for not having checked it out completely before I originally picked it up. The person who originally repaired the clock was not the person who made the corrections.

We had about given up on getting this clock fixed after Homestead damaged it. But Hawkins repaired it perfectly. Nice people, prompt service, and a great place to explore. Never saw so many clocks in one spot. We are definitely making Hawkins our go- to clock shop--whether for repairs or new clocks.

This company really knows their business. We took an antique mantle clock in for repair after it stopped chiming. The repairman took the time to look over the clock and give us a preliminary diagnosis and estimate of the cost. We talked about the history of the clock and its significance to our family. He pointed out several features of the clock which we had not been familiar with. He said they would make a full evaluation of the problem and call us with a final cost and timeline. Within a few days they called and gave us a final cost and advised us that they wanted to keep the clock for at least a week after the repairs were finished, so that its accuracy could be fine tuned. The work was finished on time on there were no additional or hidden charges. When we picked up the clock the clockmaker again took the time to discuss the working mechanisms of the clock and how to care for it. It was a pleasure to do business with this company. The people are friendly and knowledgable and the shop is a wonderland of clocks, both old and new.

Hawkins Clock Center was great. Old clocks are fussy but they know their business, they're very sweet and explain everything to you. They sell everything and they have contracts with woodworkers to make custom clocks. Their store is really cool.

I was pleased to find out that Hawkins would repair an inexpensive battery operated clock, and very pleased with the service. Everyone was polite, friendly, professional. I took the clock in, was told it would be about a week , and at exactly one week I received a call that it was done.

It took a while (5 months), but the carillon works like new. I believe he took it apart and completely re-assembled the mechanism. I am thrilled to have my lovely angel back. As far as I am concerned, this repair is the work of a craftsman. And I promise never to put her in the attic again!

I took it in to Hawkins Clock Center where Earl told me to save my money and showed me another area to adjust for speed. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He sold me a key I would need to adjust the clock speed and a small nut I was missing ($6 total). We talked for quite some time and he showed me around his shop. Very nice gentleman. I would not hesitate to use this business again.

I dropped off the cuckoo clock and was told I would receive an estimate in the next couple of days which I did. The go ahead was given as the price seemed fair for the work to be completed. I picked up the clock within a week and so far have been satisfied with the work and would use them again.

Earl is very knowledgeable and personable. Their shop is really something - so many kinds of clocks! My kids loved looking at them all. I thought their price for repair was very reasonable and they were quick - we had our clock back within a week.
