H & F Contractors

We just purchased a home in South Milwaukee. After re-grouting the shower, and using the bathroom for the first time, we found water pouring from of first floor bathroom into our basement. I opened up the wet wall from our bathroom closet and found what appeared to be a leaking tub, as I could not find any specific pipes leaking (I know enough about plumbing just to be dangerous). We were considering a bathroom remodel so we called up H&F Contractors to come in and give us a quote. Given that I initially gave our old address vs. our new address, Paul patiently called twice to get clarification on the location. Paul arrived at the house and my wife explained the situation and indicated that we were figuring it would be a major job and just figured on getting bathroom remodel. In his professional opinion we did not need a remodel and he indicated that the faucet may be leaking and we probably just needed to put some plumber's tape on the faucet to correct the issue. After speaking with my wife, he called me and explained the situation to me. That night I got home, my wife purchased some plumbers tape and I taped the shower head line, and removed the faucet. I found the lower faucet to be cracked, I replaced it and taped it up. Low and behold no leaking. The faucet was leaking into the drywall and traversing to the corner of the tub making it look like the water was coming from the tub itself. I am truly impressed with the honesty and integrity of Paul and H&F Contractors. Not only were they very responsive to our initial panic, they also did not charge us anything for the visit or the advice on the fix. There are a couple of projects we are looking to do at our house, and when we are ready to move on them, you can bet H&F Contractors will be the first company we contact. This is the type of contractor you want working on your house! I know they have earned or future business.
