 + -1 moreI was very dissatisfied with the service from John Gonzales of Guaranty Mortgage. The rate we received was more than we were quoted the day before and was more than other banks were charging on that same day. He was recommended by friends of ours who had credit issues. My husband and I have no credit issues and have high credit scores. I feel like we were taken for a ride and charged a higher rate than we should have considering our outstanding credit. Also, he made a mistake on our loan paperwork and made it out for a balloon loan instead of an 80/10/10 mortgage. He avoided my calls when I called to try to clear up the matter and when I finally was able to catch him he made up a story and told me to just sign it, instead of telling me he would look into it and correct the paperwork. He did not respond and fix the paperwork until my Realtor called him after I told her I was going to look elsewhere for another lender. I feel a lack of character was shown by how he handled his mistakes.
Description of Work: Provided first and second mortgage for first time home buyers (an 80/10/10 loan).
