 + -1 moreTheir quote was well below others, they got us on the schedule right away and they did a great job. Skip made sure everything went smoothly, and answered all our questions. He even gave some good gardening advice! The guys that came out finished in just a few hours and made sure we were satisfied with the yard before they left. We were worried we were too small of a job to get someone to come out, but they seem to do big and small jobs. Great Lakes Excavating is a great family owned company. We highly recommend them.
Description of Work: We had some concrete removed in our driveway to make way for a garden and also had an area behind our garage cleaned up and leveled for a patio, which was filled with stumps (10+), brush and an old chain link fence.

 + -1 moreA great company to do business with. I had 4 quotes and they were not the lowest, but what they suggested doing was far better than what was suggested by the other companies. They arrived on time, cleaned up each day, and were very trustworthy. The quality is top notch. They worked as if they were doing this to their own homes. I know the job was done right.
Description of Work: They dug up the foundation around 2 basement walls and replaced the walls. Other contractors suggested pushing the walls back into place and they actually recommended building new ones.

 + -1 moreSkip the owner was a little bit hard to reach though I admit I needed the work done in May, their busiest time of the year. They took three quad axle dump trucks of building debris away and about 12-13 trucks of dirt away for my crawl space. The cost included disposal of those items.
Description of Work: Excavation of approximately 27' by 22' area 5' deep for crawl space for an addition to our house. The work also included using heavy equipment to tear a storage room behind our garage down to the ground and haul away debris to clear the area to excavate. After the addition was built, they also did the back fill and supplied the stone for same. This is a family run business and I believe that they also do larger landscaping projects as well
