Local handyman attempted to remove my old fridge but neglected to disconnect the icemaker water feed before yanking the 1/4" tube out of the wall. The result was a kinked and ruptured water feed. In their rush to shut off the water, they also stripped the saddle valve under the sink where that line originated. Discovered the mess after work and spent a while cleaning and determined that no amount of kinking or clamping or putty will stop the city water pressure from leaking in that 1/4" pipe, somewhere. Left with no other solution but to shut off the main water supply, did so and waited until next morning to call Gene Wagner. Called around 7 AM, they said they could fit me in that morning and no less than 45 minutes later John was at my door. After assessing the situation and confirming that I just wanted to remove the saddle valve and replace it with something a little more robust, he got the parts from his truck and completed the repair in less than 30 minutes. From my initial phone call for service to paying the bill this job took less than 90 minutes. Could not be happier with the speed of service. Of course, it was a pretty cut-and-dried operation - but you still have to admit that 90 minutes is an incredible response time for this kind of thing. I mean, some places can't deliver a pizza in that timeframe. No negatives except cost, their rates seemed high for the initial hour but that included drive time and whatnot. Not complaining at all. I would highly recommend Gene Wagner to anyone in the area.

Karl did a GREAT job. He is very meticulous, and did a wonderful job. He cleaned up everything, leaving my kitchen looking very nice. Karl answered all my questions, and I highly recommend him and Gene Wagner Plumbing. P.S...the gal who answers the phone at the office is very nice too. I would use Gene Wagner Plumbing again, and I hope I get Karl again if possible.

They were able to come the next morning. Dave was super friendly and cleared the clog very quickly. Very happy with the quality of service and efficiency.

I saw Gene Wagner's on Angie's List and called them. Andy was able to come the next day, Tuesday, right on time at 9:45. He spent about 3 hours putting in the items that my husband and I had bought for a bathroom. He warned me up front that not everything would be hidden behind the pedestal, which I had suspected. He also checked right away that the faucet and the sink were able to be paired. (They were.) He worked very hard and did a great job!

When my husband attempted to replace the leaky faucet in the old bathroom, one angle stop broke and the other would have with additional manipulation. Since we have been happy with Gene A. Wagner Plumbing in the past, I called them after I returned from errands in the morning. Their receptionist pleasantly set up a allotted time for the following day with a possible call on the same day if that could be managed. Less than two hours later, I was contacted and agreed that a plumber would be out shortly. He arrived, I explained the situation and showed him the bathroom, and faucet. He efficiently replaced the parts and installed the faucet. Within five hours of my original call our bathroom was again fully functional.

Karl got here right on time & did the work very fast & kept everything clean. The price was very reasonable & I would definitely call them again.

After discovering a major problem in the morning with my drain after excessive rains, they were able to dispatch somebody to come out in the afternoon. Though I got held up on the way to meet him, he began work prior to my arrival so as not to waste time and money. Very thorough in cleaning out the blockage and checking for good water flow--went back in and cleaned again after it seemed that things were not running as well as they need. Great service. I would use this company again, though I hope I never have to :)

Gene Wagner Plumbing was the only company that returned more than one phone call about the project, and actually sent someone out to give an estimate for a dishwasher installation, that required conversion of our custom cabinets and a new subpanel added to our electrical box. The estimate came in within 2 business days, and included the subcontractors for the carpentry and the arranging of all the proper permits and inspection after. Over the two days' work, everyone arrived reasonably on time (every one 15-30 minutes later than we'd been told.) and the work was done professionally by the friendly and efficient tradesmen. We added on a water hookup for our new refrigerator's icemaker, and they only charged $28 for that extra labor. The contractor, Tim, then came back for the city inspection. We would definitely use them again, anytime!

If I ever have a problem with any plumbing in my house - I will go with this company again. They are kind, courteous, and very good at what they do. They explained exactly what was done and why it was done. They answered all my questions very promptly and intelligently. My younger son loved the plumber and even read him 3 books while he was working on the toilet. My son is a very good judge of character and that shows how great the plumber was not only as a plumber, but as a person.

I arrived home on Saturday between 5:00 and 6:00pm, and they plumber was just arriving. He went to the neighbors house first, and them came to mine. I told him that my sink had been plugged, but overnight the water in the sink had went down, and the garbage disposal was working in the morning as well. The only problem I had was that I had no hot water. This was a bit surprising since I had just replaced both elements and thermometers a couple of weeks prior. I told him of the problems I had had, he took the panel off and pressed and bottom, but nothing happened. He told me I would have to call for someone to fix the problem on Monday. I called and Gene Wagner plumbing was able to fit me in on Tuesday. Upon arrival the first thing the plumber did was to test the electric coming into the water heater,( this was the same plumber that had come in the weekend) and there was none. He put the water heater back together (total time at the most was 20 minutes) and gave me a bill for close to 100.00. As I sat in shock, I wrote out the check and he said if I hadn't had another call after I was here on Saturday, I would have tested this for you. I am not sure if this just hit me wrong, but I felt that I was taken advantage of so I called the manager. The manager stated that the plumber was a good guy, and that he did he a favor as their hourly rate us 117.00. I will not use Gene Wagner plumbing ever again and I will not ever recommend them to anyone I know.

Started my Tuesday morning trying to find a plumber who could service our one bathtub/shower. Called several and they were all busy thawing frozen water pipes. The guy at Wagner's said he could pretty much assure me someone by tomorrow afternoon. Since he was the most helpful I accepted but sang a tale of woe about needing help as soon as possible. Got a call 4 hours later saying he had a plumber free and could he send him over? You bet, I'll be waiting. About 30 min. later Mike showed up. I had everything opened up for him, he saw the problem and started working. He was quick and efficient, had everything he needed to do the job in his truck. Took just a bit under 2 hours and did a great job. The price was right in line with what it should have been and the work is good. No more problems with this old drain. Thanks Mike, thanks Gene A. Wagner Plumbing. Good job.

They seemed to know their stuff. They are trustworthy. They are a little high. They always get back to us when we have any problems. I would probably use them in the future.

My problem was water coming up from basement floor drain when doing the laundry, i.e. extra water going into the sewer line. Then it would drain away slow. Appointment window was 10am to Noon. Plumber arrived at 10:30 and was done by noon. He initially had me run some water and flush toilets while he watched the flow at the main sewer line cleanout opening. He then got to work power augering the line from the laundry to the floor drain but had problems because of a suspected misalignment of the sewer pipes under the floor. He then used a more powerful power auger and was eventually able to get through the line. Next he used the power auger at the floor drain and cleaned the sewer line that ran to the front of the house. He then had me run large amounts of water from upstairs with no back up of water at the basement floor drain. I am very satisfied with the work the plumber performed. He put down a tarp to keep the area clean. He worked very hard to get the laundry line cleaned out because of the problem with my drain pipes. He was friendly, professional, and explained what he was doing. I would definitely hire Wagner Plumbing again.

Company sent out Technician named Dave. He arrved on time and was there about an hour to unclog a stuborn bathoom sink drain that I could not unclog. Dave was very courtious and professional and cleaned-up when work was accomplished. He also installed a new washer and drain nut that had been leaking. We received a itemized bill expaining everything done and what was charged for. Gene Wagner Plumbing was reccommended by a friend and we would not hesitate to use them again.

Tim promptly came out to give us a free estimate on hooking up a 1st floor shower drainage pipes, "up to code". Estimate was up to $750.00, fair estimate, around the same as another we had received. Plumber Kevin came the next day, worked quietly and efficiently. Good work, no leaks, shower is working fine! The cost was much less than anticipated. Have used Gene Wagner for years, work gets done right.

When I called for service, a very pleasant woman answered the phone. She was sensitive to my scheduling needs. Kurt arrived on the scheduled day within the time window. He quickly assessed the problem and repaired the toilet in less than an hour. He then explained in detail all he had done, and he included an itemized list of the work and parts on the invoice. Kurt was very professional and courteous.

We just replaced our kitchen counters, which meant we had to remove the sink and re-install it afterward (ourselves - the counter installers aren't licensed plumbers so they wouldn't touch it). We are novices at plumbing. We must have busted a seal or something on one of the shut-off supply valves for our kitchen faucet - we couldn't get it to shut off when we were testing it back out after getting the sink back in place. Water was dripping down the supply lines into our basement and the faucet was also giving us a steady drip-drip desite being "off". We tightened things but to no avail, so we called Gene Wagner Plumbing, since we had a $10 off a service call/repair coupon from them. Holy cow, they sure came fast! We called them around 1:00 and they were in and out and done with the job by 2:20 the same day! The plumber was very nice, courteous, friendly, professional and left the jobsite clean. He explained the problem to us and helped us solve our leak without having to re-plumb or mess with the main lines. Their rates were very reasonable as well. Would definitely hire again!

I've used them before so they were convenient.

The end of the cold water inlet pipe, which was quite corroded, broke when we were replacing the bathroom faucet at my in-laws' house. Called the next morning and they were able to have someone there by 10am. He was polite, professional, and had the pipe repaired and shutoff valves installed in just a few minutes. Also had him repair their kitchen drain, which has leaked for years. He replaced two custom fit sections of pipe and added new connectors. Based on the labor and parts used, we were pleased with the bill.

Dave was great! He arrived within the window of time they said he would arrive. Installed the new faucets in the kitchen quickly . I found out the previous plumbing company who did the remodeling in my kitchen 7 years ago, mislabeled the hot and cold under the sink. After doing what he thought was right from their label he tested it and lo and behold it was backwards. He quickly made the switch and now everything is as it should be. I also was having clunking of the pipes especially when the wash machine started up. He advised me that there was a part missing on the pipes connecting the washer and was surprised this same company did not put it on as it evidently is code to have it. Again he was able to fix that problem quickly and explained everything quite well. THANK YOU DAVE! Will definitely use them again for any future plumbing situations!

As he has in past visits, John provided expert service and went above-and-beyond to respect the integrity of our historic house. Every time I request his services, I refer to him as a 'rock star', because I know John has tremendous skills and an eye for detail. I also know that the folks at Gene Wagner understand our goals for preserving the unique nature of our house, and have been a great resource as we work to turn it into a home!

John was very efficient. He did not make any big deal about it even though the others had. He was very polite and nice.

We always call this company and have never been disappointed. The only thing which could have been better was that on Thursday we made the appointment for afternoon on Friday. The company called our home and stated that the plumber was on the way and were we there at 11:00. The plumber called my cell phone at 11:00 and was at our home. We were not yet home since we did not expect anyone to arrive until after 12:00. The plumber did return to our home and did his usual excellent work. This was one of those rare occasions where earlier is not better.
