Description of Work: Unplug bathroom drain and replaced kitchen faucet. | |Everything went smoothly and Karl, the plumber, did a great job and left areas clean. Very personable.

Description of Work: Replaced an elbow in a cast iron drain pipe. The old elbow's removable plug, used to snake a clogged vertical run, fell out. It simply rusted.

Description of Work: The plumber arrived within 2 hours of placing the call to Gene A Wagner Plumbing. He was all business. He asked where the problem was and got right to work. The gentleman had many years experience as a plumber, so I was surprised to here that I had a problem he had never seen before. |My new furnace drains the water vapor condensate into the floor drain in the basement - or so we thought. Apparently the previous owner had braised-in a grate below the floor drain cover. This grate rusted closed over time and as the new furnace has had to work more of late, the rusted drain backed up and overflowed. |The plumber punched a hole out of the grate and made sure everything was draining properly. He mentioned that we could have the floor drain replaces which would cost several thousand dollars, but that everything was okay for now. He did recommend replacing the floor drain if the problem reoccurs. |I was very satisfied with the level of service I received and that the plumber did not give us no alternative except replacement of the floor drain. I appreciate when people don't use high pressure sales tactics. And I have yet to see that from any of the Angie's List contractors I have used.

Description of Work: Came out to give an estimate two weeks before Thanksgiving. The salesman, Tim, said that the proposal would take about a month to get. I was surprised it would take so long, but understood that the holiday might create a backlog. Christmas came and went. I called twice between Christmas and New Years and left messages with the woman that answered the phone. I gave my last two attempts to get the proposal after the new year. I guess they are either too busy, or really just don't want the job, which has since been quoted by two other companies for about $3K, so not a tiny job.
