I received a flyer from another company in the mail and thought I'd give them a try. After being charged a service charge before going out, they quoted a $1,400.00 estimate for the work, then when I refused, tried a $900.00 revision. I told them to forget it, went to Angie's list, selected Wagner after reading reports. They called the tenent to arrange a convenient time, went out and completed the repair. I was very pleased to receive the very reasonable bill. I called the tenent and found a happy family. I couldn't be more satisfied.

We had a kitchen drain with a disposal that refused to drain. After using Liquid Plumber 3 times over 4 days, and trying to force the flow by turning on the disposal (not a good idea, big backsplash when you shut it off), we let it sit over the weekend in hopes it would clear. On Monday, I was concerned about all the chemicals and the 3 inches of water still in the sink. I called Wagner's because they've been more than fair previously. Brian came out 2 hours later. We drained the sink into the bathroom, he opened the trap, tried to clear the drain with the power snake, but 25ft of snake didn't clear the problem. He needed to go to the sewer main and needed to cut into the opening (it wouldn't budge) which hadn't been opened since it was built in the '60's. In addition, he had to work in a cramped closet where the pipes were routed. After doing battle with the cover, he managed to get it open, clear the route below to the main sewer (wow, 40 years of disposal build-up) and then snaked the pipes upward back to the kitchen. After a slow flush to check things out, he resealed the main drain and we did a full sink flush to be sure it was clear. He cleaned up after himself and gave us a very reasonable bill. Nice job Brian.

It was fine. I called him at eleven thirty and they had somebody here in two hours. Everything worked out good, he did a real good job. He was really professional.

It took them three visits to get an estimate and they have altered their proposals several times. They were able to get the first job done well and they did get it done on time, but the second one has proved more difficult. They were always good to keep us informed so there were no surprises, but the estimates continue to change.

I had a very good experience with this company, they were able to do the job and the price was very reasonable with the work. They treated me very well.

They did a professional job that was acceptable to us and city inspectors. They did come back a second time mid-way through the remodeling project to readjust the position of some of the wall plumbing. Staff communicated the work to be done, were friendly and cleaned up after their work.

I called on Saturday after the July 4th holiday because we had a kitchen sink clog after a holiday party. We had too much party mess to clean up to wait until Monday, so I called to see how much it would cost and if they could come out that afternoon. I reached the answering service, and within 20 minutes or so, the plumber called back. He quoted me an hourly rate that was $27 an hour more than the regular rate, which I didn't think was too terrible for a holiday weekend. He told me what time he'd be there and he arrived promptly. He had to work for quite a while to get the clog removed, but in less than an hour my sink was draining better than it has in years. I was very happy to have the work done at an affordable price on an emergency basis.

I didn't feel they were ripping me off. I felt they were very honest. Their prices were competitive.

Greg did a great job. I had only called for the clog to be cleared, but meanwhile my sump pump failed and with all the storms in the area over the past week, I couldn't find a new one. Greg had one on the truck and quickly installed it. He also cleared the clog in a very timely way. He was very friendly and efficient and made the whole experience a positive one.

The sink in our bathroom had a slow drip, so we decided to replace the faucet cores ourselves. When we got started, we discovered that the shutoff valve for the hot water wouldn't turn. We tried turning it forcefully; it developed a slow leak. This sink is also notorious for having a frequently clogged drain. So now we had two slow leaks along with a sluggish drain! We gave up and consulted Angie's List for a plumber. Cindy was pleasant when I called to report our problem, and she was helpful getting the job scheduled at a time when someone could be home. Karl showed up precisely when scheduled, did a professional job, left no mess, and gave us some tips that will hopefully keep the drain running freely in the future.

They did a a very good job. They did what they said they would do and cleaned up well. Of the options they gave us they needed up going with the cheapest one. I will use them again.

It went very well. They were very efficient. They explained everything well to me. They cleaned up well after themselves when they were done with the work they were doing.

For the first two cleanings (one the day after Thanksgiving and the other on New Years Eve Day) they were very prompt and quick to clean out the backup. After the 2nd time, it seemed that there must be something else wrong. They suggested that it might be the house trap collapsing but once a camera was sent down, it turned out to be just roots. Instead of replacing all of the old pipes, they suggested putting in a larger opening to the sewer system so that they could send down a larger cutter. They came in one day (a very cold, snowy day) and replaced the pipe in the basement to allow them to send down a larger cutter to remove the roots. Once completed, another camera was sent down and the roots were gone! They did a great job of cleaning up all the dirt/debris after they were done and we have been sewer backup free for 5 months now.

They have a one hour minimum that is $95.50 no matter how long they are there, $40 for the machine to do the sewer cleaning and $10 for gas, plus tax, which basically means it's $145 per hour!!! She said it normally takes an hour and a half. They do the work in increments of quarter hours. That is basically $36.25 per quarter hour. Their pricing doesn't make a bit of sense to me. The girl I spoke with was rather snotty as well!

Our bathroom sink no longer drained. We removed the pipes we could easily and attempted to snake into the wall. Since we had no success we called a plumber. Brian arrived the same day. He replaced an original component of the system which had become warped. He had the needed part in his truck and the repair was done efficiently. He also informed us of other improvements we could do ourselves on the 1920's tub fixtures. He even recommended a plumbing supply company to my spouse who was on the phone via his workplace.

I called for service on Saturday afternoon. It was not an emergency, so I asked to schedule for the following Monday. Was told I would get a call after 7 am when the office opened. They called about 715. I was offered a morning or afternoon appt - requested morning and was told someone would be out between 930 -11, and that I would receive a call when the service man was on his way. I asked for pricing and was given the basic, non-emergency rates for service and equipment. At about 940, the office called and said Brian was on his way. He arrived about 10 minutes later. Very nice man from the start. He assessed the problem and told me what he was going to do. He finished in under 45 minutes; cleaned up the area, gave me several suggestions as to what else might be needed in the future, what it could cost, and what he would recommend. He was very informative and recommended a conservative approach, which he said would likely work for some time.

Very easy to schedule, the plumber was respectful of making holes in our walls, and even fixed the tilt in our pipes that probably caused the leak in the first place. Excellent work.

The plumbing was prompt, and efficient. He not only replaced the waterline, but reinstalled the dishwasher and exceeded expectations.

Very well. Showed up on time. They will send estimate for cost of shower repair. I think these guys know what they are doing. Dave reminded me about the Angie's List coupon !

He was very punctual. He told me what he needed to do and answered all of my questions. He took care not to make too much of a mess, and even asked for an old towel to prevent the rusty water from getting onto my new carpeting. He was fast and very professional. He warned me when he needed to turn off the water, which was appreciated, since he was here for about 3 hours. When he was finished, he offered to put the piece of drywall back up on the wall.

The gentlemen who performed the work was very friendly and took time to explain what needed to be done. He completed the work in a very reasonable time frame and was sure to clean up the area where the work was done. The new faucet works great! Overall, I was very happy with this contractor. I am having my bathroom remodeled and plumbing updated this coming year and Gene Wagner will definitely be a candidate for this work!

They were prompt, efficient, clean, neat, and I would expect that they would be very professional. I had some questions about some of the things that needed to be done but his explanations made sense to me. It's just a very reputable company and I would recommend them.

They were prompt and courteous and knew what they were doing and did the job at a reasonable time.

We made an appointment for someone to provide an estimate for a claw-foot tub to shower conversion. Representative from Wagner came, but didn't seem to have done this kind of work before. (Also, he was under the impression that we wanted to remove the tub and install a new shower.) I was hoping to have some help figuring out options whether we should purchase a conversion kit in advance, the configuration of the shower ring, etc. The representative said there was really only one kind of kit, chrome, which we know not to be the case. The representative left saying that he would call me the next day with an estimate. The encounter left me uneasy, unsure in fact if I would be comfortable hiring them for the job. Unfortunately, I didn't get to decide whether or not to use them because no one called me back. To be fair to Wagner, we received personal recommendations for the company in addition to those on Angie's list. Maybe we just had bad luck. Or too small a job.

Very fast response and a good, top of the line water heater.
