When I called and asked for a rough estimate they were able to provide one immediately and their schedule would allow them to perform the work the next day. Joe showed up exactly on time and had me sign his sheet confirming the start time. Working alone, he removed the old, heavy, leaky, concrete two-tub unit. He broke it into manageable pieces, keeping dust to a minimum. He removed the debris and installed the fiberglass replacement, re-worked all of the supply lines, reconnected the drain, installed a new faucet, and cleaned everything up. The job was completed in four hours. He provided a very detailed invoice which was within a few dollars of the "ballpark" quote I requested. The price was a little higher because I had him install extra shut-off valves that I did not discuss when I talked to them on the phone. We are very pleased with the work and would use Gene Wagner Plumbing again.

Our water heater cracked and started to fill the basement with water. We turned off the water and called our plumber. The next morning I stilll hadn't received a call from our plumber so I went on www.angieslist.com to find another plumber. I called Gene Wager given the number of favorable reviews they've received. I called at 7 a.m. and they had a plumber here by 8:30 a.m. installing a new hot water heater. The job was done quickly and the plumber took time to answer all our questions. He was very professional. We couldn't have been more pleased.

Excellent. Gene Wagner sent Karl out within a short time of my call to the office. He was very nice, yet professional. I showed him the mess in my laundry room and explained I had thought it was safe to run a load of laundry last night. BIG MISTAKE. I ended up with a bigger mess than I had originally because all the wash water backed up out of the drain and onto my floor. Karl brought his equipment in and opened the pipe cleanout. He ran the cable and found tree roots had invaded the drain pipe. He removed the roots and opened up the drain all the way to the street lateral. He flushed the system so everything was clear. Total time (including travel) was 1 1/4 hours.

Our old bathroom sink had started to leak and needed to be replaced. We purchased a new sink and faucet. After removing the old sink, it was apparent that the drain pipe was beyond reasonable use and needed to be replaced. We then called Gene Wagner and asked them to come and complete the installation since it was beyond what a typical homeowner could do on their own. They showed up within four hours of calling. The technician was courteous and thorough. He completed the sink installation and explained all information about the situation clearly. This is the third time I have used Gene Wagner plumbing after having tried several other local plumbers with unfavorable results. Yet again, I am thoroughly impressed with the level of service and professionalism. Naturally, I would love for it to cost less, but you get what you pay for.

Karl was courteous, professional and addressed all three issues within two and a half hours. He replaced the broken pipe with PVC so we do not need to worry about it rusting through. While we expected he would need to replace the shower faucets with new fixtures, he found we had been sold two hot water faucet cartridges some years ago and he just replaced both with newer, correct, cartridges. After he cleared the lavatory drain, he offered hints to help prevent it in the future.

They took care of a clogged sink and toilet. They were very efficient and accomodating. They were very professional. The only negative aspect is that they were expensive.

We received very quick service, which we were very grateful for, cosidering the next day was Christmas eve and we had a large amount of company coming. The worker's name was Karl and right from the start he was very courteous and helpful. Would have them again anytime.

I have mixed feelings about them. They had to come out twice to complete the job. The first time they came out, the line was not completely cleaned causing it to back up again, so they had to come out a second time to finish the job.

She called back about a 1/2 hr. later and said he had a cancelation and could be here within the hour, I said to send him out. He arrived within a 1/2hr, brought his tools in and checked the sinks. He had me run water down the kitchen sink and noticed it backing up in the laundry tubs. Went to his truck for different tools and went right to work. He had to snake the lateral drain and I thought he had the snake out to the street when suddenly the water began to drain. He ran the snake in and out several times and I went up to the kitchen after he removed the snake, cleaned the ground up waste from both laundry tubs and had me pour a dishpan full of water down the kitchen sink, which flowed fast and did not back into the laundry tubs. Job well done and took very little time. He really knew what he was doing ! I will be having them back for an estimate to correct what I felt the previous owner scewed up. THANKS CARL

Karl explained exactly what he was going to do, then he finished the work quickly and well. He told me the reasons behind what had happened and the solutions I could take so the problems won't crop up again. His work and advice will save money and future repairs over time.

I called Wagner plumbing around 8 am on 10/20 and the person who answered stated someone would be out at my house within the hour. Joe showed up promptly and worked on both toilets for about an hour and seemed to have repaired both. The price was somewhat steep in my estimation, but not out of line of what I would expect for plumbing work. Although one toilet was repaired, the second, a much older style more original to the house that we use infrequently, was not. By the next week I realized that it was still running periodically. I called Wagner Plumbing back and Joe came back out again that day. He spent 1 to 1 1/2 hours working on the toilet attempting to determine why the standard repair had not worked. After tweaking some things, we both believed it was fixed at he left without charging me. Unfortunately, this was a stubborn toilet - by the next week I realized that it was still running periodically. This time when I called, Joe was unavailable, but Dave came out that morning. He attempted another, somewhat atypical fix, and it seems to have worked. Again, since it was the same problem as the first time, there was no charge. Both Joe and Dave were extremely pleasant and personable. They worked efficiently but thoroughly. I will not hesitate to call Wagner again if needed.

I discussed the job of installing a new water heater with them by phone. I was told to expect a cost of "about $1000". The work was completed in a professional manner but the total actual price was $1174 or 17% higher. Relating to punctuality they said I would be the second job of the day. I asked if that meant mid to late morning and the answer was yes, probably. It was actually early afternoon before the plumber arrived. Overall they did a good job and the final price was still less than I found anywhere else so I would hire this company again.

AMAZING!! We had contracted to have a new floor installed in our upstairs bath. The floor guy was supposed to remove and replace the toilet. Unfortunately, he couldn't get the toilet out, and told us we needed to contact a plumber. This was at 8am. We found Gene Wagner on Angie's List and called them. I explained the situation to the woman who answered the phone, and she had Carl out to our house within an hour. The work was done quickly and efficiently, and Carl told us to call back in when the floor was finished, and he'd be back to replace the toilet. The floor wasn't finished until late in the afternoon, and Carl was back first thing next morning. Both visits were on the same bill - only one service call fee. Carl even humored our new puppy, who REALLY wanted to play. We'll definitely be calling Gene Wagner when we need more plumbing work!

It was phenomenal experience! Carl , the plumber was thorough, listened very carefully, was super helpful in diagnostics and didn't just rush through leaving me with no reassurance or help. A Huge difference from the prior plumber. Just excellent. Polite, professional, courteous, clearly competent, reassuring and empathetic.... very much a 'SERVICE PROVIDER". When he left, while it was expensive, it was well worth the peace of mind.

The service from Gene Wagner Plumbing was fantastic. I called for an appointment on Sept 23rd and was assigned a work date of Sept 24th P.M. At 8:15AM on the 24th Cindy called to ask if they could come earlier because their A.M. appointment had cancelled. Karl, the plumber, arrived at 8:30AM to my astonishment. He went right to work. He explained the technique of flushing the hot water pipes to see if that would solve the faucet problem in stead of rushing into opening the wall and replacing pipes. After flushing the pipes twice, the hot water faucet was flowing normally. What a relief to me, I expected several hours of labor and parts and a gigantic bill. Thank you Karl for trying the flushing first(or I should say thank you Karl's grandfather who taught you this technique). There was a slight drip from the faucet and a new cartridge was installed but Karl suggested, that since the faucet was fairly new I should call Moen and ask them to send me replacement cartridges, which I did. (another savings for me!) and the cartridges are on their way. Karl was here a total of one hour and 45 minutes including his travel and paperwork time. This gave me the rest of the day to enjoy the beautiful weather. Great Service! Thank you Cindy and Karl for this pleasant experience.

Only does free estimates for large jobs and sewer jobs. They were very pleasant and professional over the phone and quoted me prices over the phone.

On the second of August, he put a camera down into my sewer to see what the problem was. He then concluded that there was nothing wrong with my sewer; it was the city?s fault. My maintenance man ended up doing $1500 worth of work to fix this problem. When the maintenance man was fixing the last of the problem, he noticed a hole in the pipe, which should have been visible with the camera that this plumber used. In fact, my maintenance man took a picture of the hole. Both myself and my maintenance man have tried getting into contact with the plumber multiple times about this issue, but we've had no success. They always hang up or never call back.

Very well. It just seemed like a lot to spend $500 to replace one 6" copper pipe. The plumber himself was clean, neat, articulate, conscious of possible inconveniences due to water shut off, and handled a family pet well. Office phone service was perfect. I appreciated that he didn't replace a water heater that didn't need it.

Dave arrived within the 2-hour window I was given and I received a call from the office when he was on his way over. I showed him what I needed done and it was taken care of efficiently and effectively. I liked that he took the time to explain to me what my options were, and showed me what he had done afterwards. He also spent some time with me discussing ideas for a potential kitchen remodel, and playing with my dogs. He seems to really like dogs, and cats too...Dave's a great plumber for "pet parents"! Overall, a satisfying experience.

Excellent work and workmanship. Wagner plumbing was fair in their pricing and professional in their work. I would recommend them to anyone looking for an honest plumbing firm.

He arrived right on time and went to work right away surveying the damage done by previous tenant. Tenant left and ripped off her appliances, left water running in basement shower did not even turn off the water main valve so I had dripping water everywhere. This tenant also removed ALL light bulbs so basement was dark and plumber had to work with flashlight. I went out and purchased light bulbs so he could work in the basement. He figured out the mess and capped some pipes that I has missed because he knew how to follow the pipes and had the knowledge of where they lead to and what their function was. His expertise was needed because he even found cut off pipes that I was not aware of and did not ask him to look at. I am glad he discovered all the damage and capped off what needed to be capped so no more damage was done to my property.

Drain was clogged, later found to be a grease plug. Serviceman came the same day I called although it was not an emergency. He snaked the clog several times before it was completely cleared and advised as to how to keep it from getting clogged again. Troubleshot a slow drain and found improper venting from a previous remodel and promptly corrected that problem, which may have contributed to the clogging problem. Over all experience was very satisfying. Only draw back was that the repair was not cheap, but I guess you get what you pay for!!

The plumber was there within 30 min. of our phone call which I greatly appreciated. Of course we paid the "emergency" hourly rate but I expected that and did not mind because I was standing in an inch of water with more coming in. Professional and arriving just as he said, I would hire them again.

It was an emergency, so they were every prompt. They were very good.

Joe came out to do the work. He did a nice job on the first job. However, the hot water heater is still broken again. I am going to call them back.
