Received the bill after the tenant paid for the service. We were astonished at the cost. He basically removed hair from the drain. Charged for every function he did...cost to remove hair, cost to remove hair from his tool, cost to disinfect his repair tool. Charged us for 45 min of labor. We disputed that it couldn't have been 45 minutes to clean hair out of a drain. Tenant confirmed that he wasn't there for 45min. and all he did was stick a tool down the drain and pull up the clog. Will never recommend Gene Wagner,

I emailed and called a total of 5 times to get "Scott" to come and do a quote so that I could turn paperwork in to the City. I have NEVER gotten a call back. The plumbing business must be very good to turn down business where there are numerous neighbors needing the same service.

It took 2 visits to find the cause of the leak, so it was a very expensive experience.

The price wasn't bad at all for same day service.

Wagner was recommended by my real estate broker, who I trusted, and the office immediately responded to my phone call seeking an in-house inspection and estimate. An able plumber came out within five days, but the problem was getting a detailed written estimate from this firm. One week after the visit, I made my first reminder call. It took another week and two more calls before I got anything. The estimate, when it arrived, was detailed but comparatively expensive, and I had already gone with a simpler plumbing plan that came from an estimate a few days AFTER Wagner had inspected my bathroom. Thus, I give Wagner high marks for professionalism and initial punctuality in making and keeping an appointment -- but low marks in giving me a written estimate on which I could make an informed choice as to service. Maybe it was a very busy fortnight, but if so they should have called me and advised me about the delay.

The representative came out to give me a quote but never delivered the bid. I called to follow up and was told I would have to wait at least 2 weeks for a response. I never got a response.

We would have did it ourselves but we don't want to mess with the pipes because they are 50 years old and we felt that we need to have somebody knowledgeable to put in the brand new pipes. We're very happy we spent that money because Gene A Wagner Plumbing Co Inc did a good job and it looks very professional. Now that he put in some new pipes there in also, it would be easier to disassemble because they're new and more modern and we wouldn't have that fear.

The serviceman from Gene A Wagner Plumbing Co Inc was very attune to our needs and we were happy with the work. His work ethic in doing the work correctly and now we don't have to worry about the lines freezing in the winter. The price, responsiveness, and professionalism were excellent.

Contractor arrived on time, performed the work efficiently and effectively and with quality. I was extremely pleased with their performance and the results. Contractor even went above and beyond by coming back for appointment to walk through with the inspector and explain all of the work details performed. I would highly recommend this contractor and definitely would use them again.

It was an excellent experience. They came out quickly, they did the job in a short time, and they did a good job. I am very happy with them. I liked the promptness and the flexibility.

They were great! They came right out, and didn’t even charge us very much! They changed out our sump pump, put a brand new pump in there, and got the flood to go down. He explained everything he was doing and didn’t make me feel bad for calling him out on Good Friday at dinnertime and just provided exceptional service. I think they deserve even higher than an A, because this wasn't a scheduled appointment, but an emergency service on a holiday weekend.

Driver was friendly & courteous & took only a 1 3/4 hours.

He came right on time, the same afternoon I called, and was ready with all of the equipment necessary. He was efficient and within a few minutes was grinding away at the built up roots. He suggested that this be a yearly service rather than 1 1/2 to 2 year cycle because of the size of the roots. He was prompt, efficient, and polite. I will use Wagner Plumbing again.

We noticed the sewer was clogged about 10:00 a.m. on a Sunday. Called Gene Wagner Plumbing and spoke to a answering service. A technician called back within 15 minutes and was at our home an hour later. The lateral sewer line extends approx. 200 feet from the house to the road. The technician found the tree root blockage approx 150' out and was able to clean out the pipe in about 1.5 hours. He was very professional and courteous. I would definitely use this company again.

Even though the serviceman, Dave, was not able to find the house CO, he was still able to find and solve the problem.

Tim of Gene Wagner Plumbing came to our house to discuss replacement of a tile tub surround. He arrived promptly and took a quick look in the bathroom at the tub. I told him we were interested in a solid surface surround like Swanstone or Corian. He immediately suggested using cultured marble. I asked him questions about the project and he was very informative. He has done several of these in the past, generally works with a local company and knew exactly how long everything would take. He did, however, decline to give me a ballpark estimate of the cost. His statements included "most of the cost will be in materials" and "the cultured marble tub surround is pretty expensive per square foot" He instructed me to go to a showroom and select colors for the cultured marble tub surround that he suggested we use. We visited the showroom two days later and called him with our selections. He said he would put everything together and get us the quote. After a week of not hearing from him we called and left a message asking about the status of our quote. We continued the process of obtaining quotes and when we didn't hear back from him for another two weeks, we decided to use another contractor. It has been about six weeks and we still have not received our quote. I've used plumbers from this company in the past, have written reviews for them, and have generally had good experiences. I don't know if this job wasn't important enough, big enough, or if we simply fell through the cracks, but I'm not going to go out of my way to obtain a quote from someone that isn't excited about doing the job. This is clearly not an indictment of the entire company, which I think is a good business, and I would certainly use them in the future, I'm just disappointed with this singular experience.

I like them and have used them for a long time.

The plumber arrived on time and completed the work in less time than the estimate. The plumber took care to protect the carpet when he brought in the new unit and hauled away the old one. They even called a few days later to make sure everything was working properly.

The plumber who came to our house was very friendly, explained the issues well, professional, and efficient. The plumber was knowledgable and honest. We ended up needing new faucets in the kitchen and basement which made the total cost expensive, but we liked working with this company. Highly recommend.

I called for a repair and they gave me a price over the phone. When they arrived they told me the repair would actually cost $200 morethan the other plumber who had given me a quote, and about double of what they told me on the phone. I told them not to do the repair since they had given me a price that they could not honor, and I had someone who could do it for less. The plumber left but they sent me a bill for $160.00 for a service call and they didn't do any work. I called and explained that I was not paying for work that was not d one. They said it was the service call. Then they filed a collection on me for this. I am still shocked at their way of doing business.

I called Gene A Wagner plumbing around 9am on 7/10 and talked to a very nice sounding lady who asked about my problem and when I wanted service. She said someone could be out today if that was ok. I was excited about that and proceeded to give her all my info. Around noon-12:30, that nice lady called me back saying the repairman was on his way and would be there in 10-15min (I did tell her i'd be home all day so I didnt need a ton of notice). Sure enough the repairman arrived right on time. The gentleman (Dave) was very nice and personable. He asked me to describe the problem and actually shared information with me about why someone wouldn't install shut-off valves (it's not actually code). Anyways, he got to work right away and completed the task in just over an hour. Everything was done perfect!

Kitchen drain & washing machine drains were re-routed to make these drains more efficient. We are happy with results.

I give them a C rating because responsiveness was my problem. they have 24 hour a day emergency service and they didn't call back. Once i talked to them and made an appointment they did show up on time.
