+ 0 moreThey also did some extras that other companies that came out didn't do. They scrapped and painted rusty areas, they also tightened loose railing in front for no additional charge. Of all the estimates I received they were the cheapest. I would most definitely use them again

Description of Work: They restored the original 2nd floor balcony/porch railing. They took down the old railing which was rusting and had flaking paint. They sandblasted, repainted, and reinstalled the railing!

+ -1 moreThe work was completed within the timeframe outlined at the time of the estimate. The railings' workmanship is outstanding and their installation was neat with no damage to surrounding property or existing brick structure.
Description of Work: I have a three-step brick entry at my back and front doors. These had no railing for a "hand hold" when there is snow and ice present creating a fall risk. Gallas Safeguards fabricated wrought iron railings and installed them. The custom work is great and compliments the architectural style of my home while adding a safety feature.

Description of Work: We have original 1940's solid, wrought iron railings on our front porch which we were going to replace because they were in need of repair. The prices I was getting for new hollow core railings, without half the detail ours have was outrageous. Then I found Rick Gallas. He restored our beautiful railings to, not only brand new looking, but did it in half the time it should have taken because he knew the porch and landscaping couldn't be done without them. I can't say enough good things about Rick Gallas, from his integrity, to his promptness, and most of all the impeccable beautiful work he does. I know Rick does a lot of other things besides restoration and I'm confident that he would do the same wonderful job on whatever he does. Thank you Rick!

+ -1 moreRick Gallas was very easy to do business with. He answered all of my questions, explained various options for getting a strong and attractive railing installed, and got the job done in a very timely manner. I am very pleased with the appearance and the durability of my new railing.
Description of Work: My old stair railing on my front porch stairway had rusted and needed replacement. I wanted a stronger and more aesthetically appealing railing that could be attached to the sidewalls, rather than the steps. Rick Gallas came to my house to give me an estimate the day I called him. He explained my options and immediately gave me an estimate, which I accepted. Within eight days of the estimate, they removed the supports from the old railing, smoothed out the cement, and installed a lovely, strong wrought iron railing to the brick sidewalls of the porch.

+ 0 moreRich came out and did measurements and we discussed the project over the phone. I paid him a 1/3 deposit and he completed the work within 2-3 weeks. He answered all of my questions and was very courteous. The completed project looks great and the color of the rails matches the brick on our house.
Description of Work: Richard built, painted and installed two handrails for our front porch. He also fixed a guardrail on the porch to make it more secure.

+ -1 moreOur old railings look brand new again! We had nice railings with interesting scrollwork and Rick saved them! To recreate them would have been twice the cost and we had four of them - two 6 ft sections and two 3 ft sections. They are now gloss black and everyone thinks they are new.
Description of Work: Removed our four outdoor steel railings by our steps and sandblasted and epoxy coated them. Replaced end pieces and bases where they attach to the concrete stairs.
