Extreme Steam Carpet Cleaning

Came when they said they would be here. Explained the work they would be doing. Very polite. Met my expectation. I would use them again. The only thing I wished I would have know because I would have had them do it was the air vent from dryer to outside.

It was resolved with a refund of $89.00.

They were very thorough, and they had great customer service. I thought their price was reasonable. I would definitely use them again.

It was a Big Deal that I purchased. The carpet got cleaned but I didn't like that he tried to sell me more services as soon as he found out that I had the Angie's List coupon. He tried to emphasize how Angie's List takes half of their profits and that I should have called him directly. It was irritating. He didn't know how much the charge should be and he charged me tax on it. The stain removal was extra. I gave it to him for one room that was bad. He was quick. He refused to move my bed that was on casters but he moved other furniture. I probably won't call him again. The coupon price was good except for the extras.

I received an email coupon and they came out in June. He didn't turn on the furnace after one part of the duct cleaning to let things settle and there was an awful smell. I called the company to complain and was told by the man who answered that he should have turned on the furnace while he was cleaning it. I didn't feel the technician was thorough, however the smell did go away in an hour. I didn't like that the extra services that were recommended wasn't discussed when I made the appointment. I paid an extra $50 charge to have them clean my furnace. I felt that they pressured me for extra services and the maintenance person didn't follow company protocol when he failed to turn on the furnace. They did do a good job and my ducts are clean. I would not call them again unless there was a very good deal. I have used other companies and have not called Extreme Steam Carpet Cleaning back.

Went very well, professional, fast and tidy.

Scheduling the air duct cleaning with Jon was fast and easy. Les was our technician and he was prompt and cleaned our vents well. He also cleaned up after himself well as I did not notice any dust or dirt around the house. I only have two concerns. First, Les complained about the Angie's List process as Extreme barely made any money from their jobs. I would counter that I would not have used Extreme in lieu of the reviews they had as I was unfamilar with Extreme Steam and Carpet Cleaning. I found this dialog whiny. Second, there was $20 in tax rather than the $8 I orginally calculated. Les stated that the tax was on the full price of the service rather than the $149. I found the tax to have a "hidden cost" feeling. Overall, I would consider using the company in the future if they were truthful regarding costs.

I have used several service providers over the years and I don't rate them poorly unless they do an absolutely poor job. So this company sends a guy named Les to do air duct cleaning in my 4500 square foot house. This guy showed up at the door and did not properly introduce himself. He told me that that in addition to the $149 coupon which I purchased through Angie's list, it would cost me another 189 dollars as my house had "2 zones". This was not communicated to me while scheduling the appointment. So I said if you do a good job then I will pay the estimated amount and I did. He started to bring the tubings etc and actually the tubing was all over the toys in the hallway and he did not bother to ask me to remove it. We start hearing the vacuum working. I was busy with my kids so I did not have the chance to check on him. After an hour or so I went down to the basement. All the ducts and tubes were on the floor and the vacuum was running. So for all I know this guy did not do anything to clean the ducts!! The final insult was that he asked what was my nationality and "why did I need such a big house" . I was extremely disappointed with the professionalism and workmanship of this company and would NEVER use them again.

I have a 4 1/2 year-old, a 2 year-old and a small dog. Most of our carpeting is 4yrs old and has never been professionally cleaned. There is a large office area with carpeting, which was installed by the previous owners who had three children and a dog during their time in our house. We believe this carpeting was never cleaned and was very stained. I had attempted to clean it myself with various cleaners and my own steam-vac- to no avail. I purchased two A.L. coupons from Extreme Clean each for 450 sq. ft. of carpet cleaning with stain guard. I have well over 900 sq. ft. of carpeting. They were very nice and stated it would all be covered by the coupons. My husband and I moved a lot of the furniture ourselves because we wanted a very clean carpet and, never having carpet professionally cleaned, we did not want to question if they had moved things. Plus it seems like our children can get stains and cheerios under almost anything. They gave us a window between 9:00am and 11:00 for our appointment and were very nice when we called asking a few preliminary questions. Jon called at about 8:50 am the day of and said they would be there in about one-half of an hour. They arrived approximately 20 minutes later. Jon and Hubert came out and suggested extra stain treatment on the older more stained carpeting. I was completely willing as it was pretty bad. That was an extra $20. I think they were expecting to move more furniture and were pretty surprised to see how empty everything was. Again they were very curteous and agreeable. I asked them to please clean under a particular couch as we have two large couches in our main room. They said "absolutely" and they would clean under the other one also. They were very quick. I was outside during most of it and they were in and out in under 40 minutes. I quickly checked out the carpeting and was really amazed by the complete lack of stains. I was actually shocked that they were able to get the office area as clean as it was since I had spent many a night out there scrubbing. The dinning room table and two couches were up on blocks as they had cleaned under those items. They did not move the entertainment center, but I don't think I would have wanted them to move it. I ended up referring them to my office for carpet cleaning because they did such a good job, but also they were very nice and easy to work with. My carpet has not dried yet and I will update when it fully dries. I will use them again!

The appoinment window was between 11 and 1. Around 11:20, the service tech (les) called to say he would be arriving around 1:00. He actually arrived closer to 1:30. After I showed him around and completed the paperwork for the job, he set up the hoses and equipment which ran from the van in my driveway down into the basement through the front door which had to stay open the whole time. (I wish they had a way to drape something over the doorway to prevent flies and insects from entering the house) While he was setting up, I inquired about the camera that was mentioned in the service description he stated that they "have something but it's really just a marketing gimmick and would just gross out customers". So he never used any type of camera to show the condition of the ducts before or after the service. He removed the first floor vents and began the process which involved a large vacuum hose down at the furnace and an air hose with a whip-like gadget used to stir up everything in the duct. At one point, I noticed dust and large clumps of stuff coming from one of the air returns onto the hardwood floor. When I went to the inform the tech (who was in the basement), he said "yeah I kinda messed up on this one and should have done it a different way". At this point, he had several holes in the ducts in the basement and was sucking stuff out through those holes. I wasn't home when the service was complete so didn't get a chance to inspect everything before the tech left. When I arrived home, I found 2 vent covers laying on the floor (not put back in place), several only partially in place and one cover damaged from being pryed off. I also noticed that a couple of vents weren't even removed and when I called the tech to ask if that duct had been cleaned he stated that he had "done it another way". The following day I called the company to inform them of the issues I had with the service. I spoke with Jon who offered to come to my home and see for himself. I arranged to be home Monday between 1 and 4. At 12:50 or so on Monday, someone from the company(I assumed Jon) called to say he was just getting off the highway and would be there in 10 minutes. A half hour later, I was shocked to see the service tech (Les) emerge from the company vehicle. When I asked why Jon didn't come, he said Jon had other jobs he needed to do and couldn't come. Needless to say, I wasn't pleased that the same tech who caused the issues was sent back to address my concerns. However, I politely showed Les all of the things I had mentioned above and, while he was apologetic for "causing an unhappy experience" for me, he couldn't do much to remedy the situation because the "vents were quite old and very hard to put back on due to the carpet that was in the way". I'll admit the carpet did pose an issue but he could have brought that problem to someone's attention before he gathered up his equipment and rushed out. He also did offer to replace the vent he damaged by prying it off but it wouldn't be the same length as the old one and would cause a space between the baseboards and the vent. So I declined. I also told him I would have the vent covers put back on properly when I have the carpeting replaced. There are other "minor things" which I won't bother to list but they are things one wouldn't expect from a "professional" business with experienced technicians. (Les stated he had more than 10 years experience) I chose this company to perform this service based mostly on price but if I had to do it over again, I would have paid a little more for a company that had a better rating. The ducts are cleaner and (I assume, since I didn't actually see it done) sanitized. But if you are looking for a company to provide top notch customer service, I couldn't recommend this one.

They were on time and quickly completed the job without too much pressure or up-selling on their other services.

It went fantastic. I talked to a man named John when I called. He was very helpful. We set up a service date for the following Tuesday. They showed up on time and they were fast and efficient with the work. Lese, who did the actual work advised me of some of the other services the company offers and I will for sure have them come back and do the carpet cleaning in my house.

My daughter purchased a Groupon for $99 to have my air ducts cleaned. When they arrived, my husband showed one guy around and the other man started removing the vent covers. A few minutes later, we were told the total would be $617. I told them there was no way I could afford that so they said they could clean my air ducts and cold air returns for an additional $251. I wasn't happy about it but told them to go ahead and do it. A week later I was painting one of my 2nd floor bedrooms and took off the cold air return cover. To my surprise, I found dirt and debris inside. Obviously, it hadn't been cleaned. I checked the duct in the other bedroom and found the same thing. I called the company and spoke with Jon who said they would send someone out that afternoon to rectify it. He did send out two men who checked and agreed that the duct in that bedroom and another bedroom had not been done. When I told them I was upset this hadn't been done the first time, the man said "Well sometimes people make mistakes." I feel this wasn't a "mistake". The furniture had been moved away from the areas and my husband pointed out all the returns to the first people who came and the number of returns was on the invoice. I don't think there was any reason to miss the only two cold air returns on my second floor. I also was upset that there was an additional charge over the Groupon price. The Groupon did not indicate there would be additional charges or my daughter would not have purchased it for me.

They arrived on time and completed the work in about 15 min. I've had my carpet cleaned before and this seems like they were in and out too fast. But I looked it over and it seemed fine while it was wet. However, once it dried the spots I had pointed out to them were still there. They apparently gave no extra attention to the spots that were really soiled. This is the risk you run with buying the coupons in advance. I will not use them again even though the price was right. I got what I paid for.

They do a nice job. They were neat and cleaned up. They were very professional.

Great. And no toxic chemical smell afterwards.

We bought the steam clean coupon for three rooms. Technically we had four areas - two contiguous areas on each floor, but they said the total area was not more than the three-room coupon so no extra charge. We added on the duct cleaning without a coupon, but they gave us the coupon rate, which was good because the duct cleaning included three floors. Easy to work with, efficient and considerate, they gave us good value.

My initial phone call to this company was well handled. Jon gave me a good idea of prices beyond what I had purchased in my coupon and was able to schedule me for the following Monday afternoon. On the day of my appointment he called to say he had finished his previous job a little early and asked permission to come to my home a little earlier than the appointed time, which was fine with me. He introduced himself and his partner, was cordial, and went about visually inspecting the carpets. I agreed with his recommendations of a spot cleaner , deodorizer (we have a dog) and scotchgard for my 15 year old carpets. They promptly went to work and after a little over 1 hours my carpets looked like brand new and smelled great! I would highly recommend this company for their integrity and work ethic.

I called because I had a coupon from Angie's List. We found a date that worked for both of us. They said they would come out between 1-4. At about 12:15, they called and told me that they had one small job before me and gave me an estimate of the time they would arrive. When they got here, they were very nice and professional. They did the job, threw in some stain remover for free and cleaned the carpets. I was very happy with the finished product. My old carpet looks good again.

I purchased one of the Angie's Big Deals ($69) for a dryer vent cleaning for this company. When I contacted them through email, they were very quick to contact me by phone and set up an appointment.When the 2 fellows arrived for the appointment, I thought that they were friendly and professional. They had to replace the flexible dryer vent tube which cost extra ($36.96 - which seemed high to me) . A few days after they left, I was cleaning in the laundry room and noticed that the new vent tube had come partly unattached from the piece that sticks out of the wall. I called the company and they made an appointment to return. The same two fellows came and they ended up putting in an additional part between the wall piece and the vent tube. This made for a more secure connection. There was no extra charge for either the service or this part and so far it seems to be working just fine.

I took advantage of half price Coupons e-mailed to me for both the Duct Cleaning and the Dryer Vent Cleaning. When I ordered the work I talked with the contact, Jon. I wanted Sanitizing of the ducts and had this added. We scheduled a date. Prior to the work date, I was impressed when Jon called and said that snow was predicted and that we might want to reschedule because of the potential for a mess. We re-scheduled. Les and Hubert were the techs for our job. The arrived promptly The went about their work in a probessional manner. They were firendly and all in all great service representatives for their company. The dryer vent was interesting. When it was originally installed the connection was was short and split the aluminum hose. Unbenounced to us lint was collecting on the baack of the dryer. Note to all if you are going to have heating ducts done, you should do the dryer vent. All iin all we were totally pleased with the whole job. Everything was cleaned up and there was no trace of they're haveing beeh here except for the pleasant sanitization smell which was gone in short order. We were totally pleased and would call Extreme again.

They did carpet cleaning of three rooms and stairs. They were on time. They were professional and punctual. I will definitely use them again.

We had a Groupon coupon and I would not recommend them. I guess you get what you pay for; he kind of griped the whole time he was here here about the Groupon experience and left our vent covers off when he left. He did a halfway job and complained the whole time. The job cost $99 and when he came he tried to sell us another package that would have cost a couple of hundred dollars more which would have given us the type of cleaning we needed for our house. He did the job but I would never hire him again.

During our original phone call with the owner Jon Paasch, I mentioned we had pet stains. Jon never mentioned any additional charges for this or anything else during the phone call. Once the workers arrived they tried to up sell for additional services costing $20 / room extra, including the pet stain removal and deodorizing services. I told them to simply clean the carpet without the additional services/costs. Because my husband had bought the coupon, I was not aware that the Big Deal coupon stated the deal was for cleaning AND ?deodorizing,? which I refused because the workers said it would be additional cost. I ended up taking a can of rug cleaner and spot cleaning the few pet stains we had that the regular cleaning did not remove.
