We paid him a deposit of more than $4,000 to do a project on our patio. We had a contract but he ghosted us as soon as he got our money. We now have to take him to court and our patio still needs the work. Buyer beware.
Description of Work: We wanted a concrete slab removed from our patio, and replaced with matching bricks. We also wanted a small wall built to separate the areas on our patio.

EGM was one of 4 bids we got to do redo our failing retaining wall. once we signed the contract, we were given an estimated start date. The start date was 4 weeks out. about 3 weeks out the work was started, and the work was completed in about 4 days.
Description of Work: We had a retaining wall that was made of railroad logs that was failing r/t standing water in between me and my neighbors lot. I hired this company to replace the wall. It was a big decision, for us (my neighbor and I), as there was so many things to consider. the standing water, the replacement type of wall, neighbor's etc. we got 4 bids. with the highest being 6700$ and lowest being 3700.00. and each giving conflicting information on the best solution to our standing water problem, and best replacement product. there is also a huge difference in a wood product, vs a brick paver. EGM helped us work through the decisions, i now have a beautiful brick retaining wall, with a tile system, to take care of the standing water, he added dirt to level out the grade, in my yard, which adds to the visual appeal of my yard, and reseeded the work. All these things were not discussed or offered, or suggested to be done, to not only "redo" our retaining wall, but fix my yard (water) and improve (grade) that i did not even realize was a problem. Also, on the two bids that were higher, and the one that was lower, these extra things that were done, were not included in the bid. I wonder what the bids would be, with adding the tile and the grading to bid.

I hereby retract my comments regarding this business.
Description of Work: We hired EGM Landscapes to build a retaining wall and make planting berms in the back of our yard in March of 2011. The price was well below other quotes we received, and as he was referred to us by a good friend so we decided to hire him.
