East Side Lawn Care

When I realized the services were not being performed 1/2 thru the summer, I contacted the owner who to date, I had given a lot of business to at my previously purchased home. He was initially gracious and accepted accountability for an oversight. We agreed on compensation for portion of work that had not been completed and stated the remainder of work would be completed on timely basis. At the end of the year, the work was still not completed as agreed and paid for. I contacted the owner once again and requested a refund. He agreed to a refund but, I have not heard from him since. I was going 2 let it go but have come to realize the severe disappointment. As stated, I had given EastSide Lawn a lot of business and the lack of respect is eye opening.

I ordered a 4 foot fence and there were sections that were only 3 feet. I also feel the quality of the materials was poor, I have sections that are warped and one panel has fallen off.

Good work, pleasant workers -- good about special requests. Thoughtful, responsive business owner.

There were significant amounts of leaves left over within the bushes following the leaf removal, and he ended up not charging me for it. I didn't have weeds last year so I guess fertilizer worked.

Everything went well, no surprises, and finished job looked good.

They did an excellent job, very efficient. Would recommend East Side Lawn Care.

He does my lawn service as well. He is reliable and professional. He responds to all request for help in a timely manner. He goes above and beyond the scope of duties we discuss to satisfy what I want.

I first want to comment that East Side Lawn Care has a very friendly staff. In dealing with Rick, he was professional and concerned that the applications we purchased were not working on our lawn. The applications were definitely the problem. They just did not work. We used another service last year that had only four applications and our lawn was weed free all summer. The applications used by East Side just did not cut it. Thankfully East Side came out several times to spot treat and update applications to stave off these weeds, but this took additional communications and made a lot of work for us and Rick at East Side Lawn Care.

They cut very few limbs from the tree in the back yard. The limbs was put next to the trash can and now we have to get rid of it because the garage truck will not pick it up. The tree looks like nothing has been done to it. They did't cut much off tree so that it would be noticeable

Generally okay. I've had to call them back a couple of times for additional treatment, and the came out.

I bought a 26-week mowing package for $779 and have been more than pleased with East Side Lawn Care for our Shorewood home. The owner Rick is very attentive and responsive to questions or issues, and when we needed some quick landscaping done in order to put our house on the market, Rick was super accommodating and for a very fair price. I highly recommend East Side Lawn Care for not only regular lawn mowing but additional landscaping and other projects.

The crew performed the task while I was at church. The area looks 100 times better than it did. The area was cleaned up and looked like no one was there. I really appreciated that. The bushes were over 20 years old and some of it was dead from salt and Milwaukee winters. I was well pleased.

Right from the start, we heard from East Side Lawn Care right away. We were able to set up a first appointment within a week. The gentleman who came out to our yard was professional, friendly, and did exactly what we expected to the lawn. It was the same experience the next someone came out. I think it was the same person as the first visit. The guy in the office was super to work. Very nice experience.

However, because of my miscommunication, I asked them to come back and redo the work because wood chips were still in the beds. I was told that they would so they claimed that they came back today, and still nothing was done differently from the first time two days prior. When my sister returned home, she went out to see how it looked and noticed that the wood chips were still there as well. I'm not paying for sloppiness and lies. The people who did the job lied about having 6 bags of wood chips but there was only a fourth of a bag by my garbage can. The workers claimed that they saw a garbage truck pass and tried to sling them in there. I don' t know if I quite believe this.. Plus I was home when they began the work the first time, but had to go to work and they were left there, and the second time, no one was at my home and I was just not satisfied when I did return home and saw the work. I may not know the landscaping business, but I'm not a stupid woman. I know when work has been done and when it hasn't. I will not be paying an extra hundred ten dollars for this. I thought they were really trustworthy because of Angie's List, but this is ridiculous. I don't know what to do. I will probably get sued because if it's not rectified, I'm going to pay for this job. I'm a new homeowner, but I believe I could have done a better job ourselves. I just wanted it to be professionally done the first year, but it doesn't look like that is going to happen. I'm disappointed and feel cheated. Rick was nice and professional at the first visit, but became in his tone to my sister when she tried to speak with him. I don't have a contract with him and didn't sign anything, so there fore I'm not paying anything else.

It was my worst experience with any of the services that i had for my house. I enrolled EastSide lawn for a complete season maintenance, which was 5 visits. They visited just 2 times and then stopped the service saying, my lawn had lot of weeds and all 5 visits time is taken up and they can't provide the service anymore, they asked me to pay more money if i wish to have their service. Complete rip off, $300 for 2 visits. I was so much disappointed with their attitude and service. Rick was very rude in even talking to me to explain why they would do so. I sincerely do not recommend going with East Side Lawn care.

Yard clean up was not done. Mulch was thrown over garbage. Mulch application not neat. bushes were not cut down to the apppriate height. My lawn looked worse than when they began.

Solid work, came by at appropriate intervals throughout the summer to put down fertilizer and spray herbicide. Not a perfect solution to lawn weeds, but our lawn has a lot of tough, longstanding weeds that can only be kept under control. Only issue was that they regularly missed a small part of our lawn on the opposite side of the driveway from our house, so the weeds there were pretty extensive. I guess that shows the treatment works though. And I should have brought the issue to Rick's attention, because I'm sure he would have had his guys address it. Overall a good value. .

They were good. They did a lot of mulch. It was quality work. The price was right on. They didn't cut down the butterfly bushes and they didn't charge me for that. That was okay, I said I will cut it down. They were just starting and I guess it was the first time they were in business, but they got better. Their responsiveness was good and they were very professional. When I told them that was supposed to go down, they didn't charge me.

I contacted East Side Lawncare to do my home fall clean ups because I herniated a disk. Rick & I communicated over email and after some initial miscommunications about when I was available we met at my home to get an estimate. I explained I needed mine and my neighbors front yards raked because it is our tree that drops in their yard and I usually raked them. We walked along the side of the house and to the backyard. Again said I needed leaf removal of both of those areas as well. Additionally, I needed one last mowing. I was given what I thought was a fair price for the work needing to be done. After the meeting I received an email with a pdf attachment from Valerie on 11/3/2014 and my mistake was I assumed it outlined the services to be performed. Here is where my mistake came in. I didn't open it. His crew arrived and my wife greeted them and they said they were scheduled only to do the front yards. My wife explained this to me. I went out to discuss with a crew member and the gentleman said there is now way that was the estimate because "we would lose our a****." I opened the for the first time thinking I could show them here are the services to be completed. It was just a letter saying thanks for the business. No details of services to be provided. I immediately called Rick and got voicemail. My wife followed up with a text and Rick responded saying we never even went to the backyard! However he agreed to do all of the services requested. The crew did a great job. I emailed Rick on 11/5/2014 stating I thought the crew did great and clearly we've been miscommunicating and would be happy to have him out to review our property for a revised estimate. No response. His crew arrived again today (11/13/2014) and only did the front yards again. My wife called to tell me this. I immediately emailed Rick discontinuing our service. I tried texting then calling as a follow up, but I got an invalid number message. In person, RIck was great and seemed very trustworthy. I sold my wife on not needing another estimate because I trusted him and Angie's list.

Called and spoke with someone, but it turns out they only take care of lawns on the Eastside. They were upfront and nice about it- I guess it says it all their name! I wouldn't hesitate to call them again if I needed service on the Eastside.

It did not go well because the company never called me back. I would think that if a person or company is on Angie's List, they want jobs and would follow through. Just asking for professionalism and common courtesy.

Rick was so easy to work with, knowledgeable, helpful, timely in responding to questions. And our lawn is beautiful now!

East Side Lawn Care is the lawn care compnay I wished my neighbors would use. If they did, I would enjoy the view from any window of my home so much more. East Side Lawn Care and owner Rick have been mowing my lawn for nearly 8 years and they are great They show up when promised, charge a fair price and never try to sell me products I don't need. I do not have lawn emergencies but if I did I would call East Side Lawn Care.

Rick is very responsive and great to work with. He was able to come out and give me a quote very quickly and perform the work in the next few days. The only issue was that the mulch was rather messy, over flowers that were there, paving stones, decorative rocks, retaining walls, etc. I explained this to Rick and have every confidence that it will be rectified for future clients, so I would use them again.

Right after I purchased the coupon, I provided them a date on which they could perform the aeration.. they came in and got the job done..
