Please stay away from this company my Sister has stage 4 cancer, And is severely ill. A thermostat they installed never worked properly or they never showed her how to properly use it . After over a month of her being without heat I called The company to explain the situation the rudest Receptionist you ever could Encounter Didn't care didn't sympathize All that was cared about was a service charge And Instead of understanding how upset I was For the situation it became a nightmare. I finally did the right thing and called Capital cooling and heating 'I've never encountered anything like this ? After talking to capital I know they also overcharge her too. Please stay away from this company do yourself a favor

It was a new top-of-the-line furnace. I was one of the first ones to have it. It worked beautifully. It was worth it. The price was good. They're very good if you have any service problems. They were very personable. When I needed a new furnace, they gave me all kinds of information and explained the new furnace and how it worked and that it was direct vent and followed up on everything.

On 1/5/16 I was informed by my tenant at a rental property that the furnace stopped working. Later that day I determined that the furnace would only operate if the blower fan was in the manual ON position. At about 3:30 p.m. that same day I called D&M to see about getting a technician out to look at the furnace. I was told the cost of a service call would be $85 if a technician could get there by 4:30 p.m. or it would be $120 if later. By 4:15 p.m. a technician arrived. The service tech troubleshot the furnace and determined that the main circuit board was at fault. I could actually smell that burned electronic scent that comes from a fried circuit. Rather than invest money in the nearly 20 year old furnace, I decided to have it replaced. D&M quoted me a fair price on the spot and a contract was signed. The quoted price included everything - New furnace...duct work... removal and disposal of old furnace...gas piping.. .licensed electrician and Building Permit. There was no service charge for the initial call since I was buying a new furnace. The work was scheduled for 1/7/16. (A very responsive 36 hours later) On 1/7/16 a technician arrived to replace the old furnace. He worked steadily and completed the job in about 3 hours. Half way through the job the electrician arrived and did a very professional job wiring and inspecting the entire furnace circuit. The duct work manufactured and installed by the D&M tech was some of the best I've ever seen. The D&M service truck was a fully equipped shop with all the tools and supplies needed to manufacture any ducting needed. The job site was thoroughly cleaned up and the new furnace is working fine.

They are professional and do solid, quick work. We've used them to repair our furnace as well. It took them a while to troubleshoot what was going on, but they had two guys come to look at the issue and didn't leave until it was solved. They seem dedicated to their customers.

One of the technicians that works there is Tim. We have had him for years and years. They are really good, and nice on the phone. We haven't had any furnace or air condition problems, so I don't know if it was a problem, how that could work out. What I can tell from their cleaning and checking, they do a great job. They are in and out, they do what they need to do, and we are really happy with them. Tim is excellent.

We had bought our furnace from them about 14 years ago, and we have them come out twice a year to check our furnace and air conditioner.We have a plan with them. They come out in the summer to check the air conditioning, and in the winter to check the humidifier and the furnace, and we pay a flat amount.

We chose D & M Heating because we had used them in the past and had been very happy with them. We then bought a high middle of the road Carrier Infinity furnace and air conditioner. I will say that no matter what has happened the service techs have come to try to fix things, but this is just not enough anymore. The techs came to install the furnace and ac and we were excited thinking we were purchasing one of the best on the market that would be energy efficient and keep our home comfortable. Since the units have been installed we have had one problem after another with the AC unit not cooling. The coils freeze up, the unit leaks Puron, etc etc etc. Like everyone else we lead very busy lives. I work 3rd shift and each day only have a window of 4-5 hours to get any sleep. Here we are again with the warm weather starting and the AC doesn't work again. Last year it was 2x. We have tried unsuccessfully to have D & M replace the AC stating it is a Lemon, but they refuse. Now we are being told it is the coil is leaking and the dye that was put in last year is showing up in our furnace. My husband tried talking to the owner Kurt Dodge today as he has talked to him in the past, basically being told that they will not replace the unit because it's under warranty. Well, when the warranty is up, what happens to us then? And, in the mean time either my husband has to lose money at work to be here for repairs that we shouldn't be having to deal with year after year, or I get no sleep. The whole purpose of buying a new AC or furnace is to NOT HAVE THESE PROBLEMS. Last year after 2 repairs we were told they guaranteed no more problems. Again, today my husband tried to set up a meeting with the owner Kurt Dodge, who refuses to meet with him and stated through his secretary that it wouldn't make any difference if they met, it would still be the same, he would not replace the unit. So now we have to be inconvenienced again to having repairs done at our cost of work time and/or sleep with no real satisfaction. We will be attempting to contact Carrier Corporation, but from what I have been reading that probably won't go well either. I have a sinking feeling that we will be faced with problem after problem until the warranty runs out then we will have to buy a new unit. I can guarantee that at this point based on the experience with Carrier and D & M Heating, we will not consider either one for product or service. And, again, they do come out promptly to look and address issues, but we should not have issues with a NEW product right from the start. There is NO CONCERN on their part of having sold us a LEMON product. They have known right from the start that they were seeing problems with this model that customers were not aware of yet they sold and continue to sell them. ( This being told to us by the techs that have come out). Not a bad gig for them, they get reimbursed from Carrier for the labor and parts for warranty work. ALL WE GET IS A HEADACHE, no working dependable products and constantly inconvenienced with having to schedule time to have them come to put a bandage on the product that will only work for one season (if that) before we have to do it again. Use this company and it's products at your own risk. I will update this as the summer goes forth.

This customer has misstated several things in her review. They have NEVER paid for a repair to their system. On one occasion since 2009, they had one unit serviced for routine maintenance. Every call from this customer was an angry, abusive encounter for both office staff and service technicians performing work. All of our customers have busy lives with work and children. She is hardly unique in that respect. We gave this customer priority service every time she requested service. While I am sorry for her problems with her system, we have repaired every problem, promptly and at no charge to her. There has been an industry wide problem with cooling coils failing. We replaced her unit after determining that that was the cause of her equipment failure, per the manufacturers policy and warranty, again at NO CHARGE.

I got estimates from 3 companies to do this work. D&M's was the cheapest, and my boyfriend enjoyed speaking with Kurt when he came to our house to do the estimate, so we went with D&M. When I scheduled the work, I was told that it would take a full day and a half, and I was given the distinct impression that there would be more than one person on the job. Only one guy came to the house for the vast majority of the job. The first day, I was told he would arrive between 8 and 8:30, and he did not arrive until after 9. He seemed unsure of exactly how he was going to do it, and said that he would have to talk to Kurt to see how he thought it could be done. He left before the end of the day on both Thursday and Friday because he got called to other jobs. That Friday when I came home from work, I smelled gas in the house and immediately called We Energies. The guy they sent out found a leaky join in the gas supply to the water heater, which the technician had moved to make room for a duct. We Energies kindly repaired the leak, and the technician did apologize, and explain that he didn't have the right couple with him, so he had just used the old one. The technician returned on Monday, Tuesday, and most of Wednesday to finish the job, and was only joined by other D&M guys on Tuesday to install the new thermostat, and by his brother to help finish the job on Wednesday. When he was done, I did have to ask him to fix one of the grates that didn't fully open, and add a sheet metal patch to the ceiling in one of the downstairs closets, as the lathe was exposed. He did not arrive before 9 on any of those days. He did work hard while he was at my house, and I don't believe it was his fault that he didn't have any help. I had the city inspector come out for a permit inspection (D&M said that ductwork alone does not require a permit, but in Wauwatosa it does), which was clear except for insufficient insulation on the ducts in the uninsulated eave space upstairs. The inspector contacted D&M to let them know about the problem, and they scheduled the technician to come back out and re-insulate the ducts. He was again scheduled to be at the house between 8 and 8:30. My boyfriend was waiting for him to let him in, but by 8:45 had to go to work, so left. The technician called me a few minutes after that to let me know that he was at the house, but no one was there. I tried to get a hold of him, but he did not answer his phone and his voicemail was full. I called D&M, who said they would try to get a hold of him. A few days later, they finally did, and he ended up coming out on a Saturday (when we could be around all day) to re-do the insulation at no charge. I should say that the ductwork with zoning works well, and that the women I dealt with on the phone in the office were always very pleasant and helpful. I was unhappy, however, with the fact that not enough people were sent to do the job, so it took much longer than promised, that there was the gas leak issue, and that the technician was not at all punctual.

D&M had someone there within 30 minutes of the initial call. He got the poor, aged, struggling furnace to work long enough (over a weekend) to unthaw frozen pipes. It was clear that a new furnace was needed as well. The options laid out were clear. No one tried to over-sell me, and the new furnace was being installed first thing Monday morning. I couldn't be happier with D&M. Great folks, professional in every way, honest, and great product lines. Highly, highly recommended!

Called D&M Heating that I had no heat as this company installed my Carrier Infinity furnace. When they installed the furnace originally the technicians did not tighten the gas piping to the furnace. So my furnace was leaking gas for an extended period of time until the gas company found the leak. My family was lucky our home didn't explode from their poor quality workmanship. Then on 12/6/13 when I called about no heat from the furnace D&M instantly told me my furnace wasn't under warranty. D&M Tech who looked to be very young looked at the furnace and said the condenser trap was clogged and he only partially cleaned it out not completely or throughly. He then said I had to replace the pressure switch at a cost of $260 for the part or I would have no heat. Total $360 bill. I felt under duress to pay for this part or risk pipes freezing so I said ok. He then put in the pressure switch and left. Other dealers charge only $89 for a pressure switch. The D&M Tech did not diagnose the main problem with my furnace which was the leaking secondary heat exchanger and did not unclog the condenser trap throughly. D&M overcharged me for the pressure switch which was worthless to me due to the leaking secondary heat exchanger. I also requested a new media furnace filter be brought out as I was nearly due for another furnace filter but he never got the message from D&M. Within 4 days of D&M repairing my furnace I had no heat again. I now knew D&M was not competent to do any additional work on my furnace. So I searched and found an excellent heating company and they sent out someone with 20 years experience and he instantly found the leaking secondary heat exchanger problem that had been going on for some time which the D&M tech missed and said the previous tech did not completely unclog the condenser trap which I paid for to D&M. I was unaware Carrier had a problem with leaking secondary heat exchangers and that the heat exchangers would be replaced labor and materials in full at no cost to me under warranty by Carrier nationwide. D&M should have known this fact and Kurt said the Carrier warranty wasn't valid in Wisconsin. Kurt also said my contact information changed when I have lived in this same home the entire time. Another lie. He then said I didn't have the furnace serviced when I did. The second heating company new all about the Carrier warranty being valid in Wisconsin and exactly what warranty and rebates where available. So essentially I feel I was gouged and ripped off by D&M heating (Some states have laws against this.) and when I called the contact for D&M heating Kurt he gave every excuse in the world and lied to me about Carrier's warranty not being valid in Wisconsin. I called Carrier and Carrier told me the warranty is valid in Wisconsin. In my experience they have poor workmanship and poor customer service. I also believe D&M Techs do not have enough training. When I called him calmly and told him what happened he blew up and became very emotional about simple facts. I am not the only one complaining, do an internet search and see. I also contacted and will contact others regarding this matter. Carrier, Better Business Bureau, Social media, etc. I would take any rebuttal with just being more excuses. I would never use this company ever again for any service work and I would never recommend them to anyone.

In response to the to the first complaint of the gas leak: We installed his furnace 06/06/2003, not once during the last 10 years did we ever go back out to his home. We never recieved any complaint from him about a poor job on the furnace install. I am sorry that he had a gas leak, I wish he had contacted us so we could have repaired that. When he did call us for service on 12/6/13 we let him know that his furnace was out of warranty in response to him asking; I do suppose one could find a part for a furnace on-line that may be less money but our repair includes: tax, labor, time, warranty of 1 year on that part. It would be much cheaper if one did buy it off the internet, but what is the wait time? Did he have heat that night? As far as the secondary heat exchanger being bad, Carrier will cover the replacement of them; But they also reserve the right to decline any warranty on a unit if that unit has not had documented maintenance in those ten years. Carrier has this disclaimer on the warranty itself, seeing as we had not been out to Mr.[member name removed]'s home before this night neither for cleanings OR repair. Before this service call, we had made attempts to solict him, and were denied. As to the part where Kurt was "very emotional" and "upset", I do believe that was stretching and nit-picking the truth. Mr.[member name removed] was diffcult from the on-set, diffcult with the ladies in the office, diffcult with the techs. I do realize that his heat did go out a number of days later, but he would not compromise on us coming out again to take a second look, had he given us a second chance, our very educated and highly trained techs would have diagnosed the problem. We are happy for Mr.[member name removed] that he has found another heating company, unfortunatly our best efforts were not nearly good enough. But we do wish their working relationship is a better one than ours was.

The Technician was very courteous and professional. He cleaned and oiled the blower/motor assembly with my understanding that it may not last. However, things seem fine now. I am very pleased.

These folks did an incredible job. Started out being impressed with my phone call to them. Not only was the woman that answered the phone courteous, she had information at her finger tips to talk with me about the size of unit that I was looking at AND the approximate prices for the various systems they had available and discussed it with me right on the phone. I was so impressed with this initial information (usually you get the line that a sales guy has to come out to even give you this ballpark) that I asked he to set me up a meeting at my home. Turns out that the president of the company was available to come out yet that day so we planned the meeting. He came out and I shared with him how impressed I was with his phone reception people. After some discussions we talked about what the system was that I wanted. He was very good at pointing out what he felt was best bang for the buck but I still opted for a bit higher grade system anyhow. They told me when they would be coming out and what was going to happen every step of the way. They also arranged for a duct cleaning (never had been done) and that was performed the next day prior to the system install. This was another company that they work with but they were very clean and efficient in their work. D&M arrived at my house exactly as they told me they would and got right to work removing the old and putting the new units in place. As it was still cool outside they told me they would come back on the first warm day to check out the AC unit as it needed to be running with warm outside air. They in fact called me the first warm day and came out and did this check up (a couple weeks later from the install). The install looked great. They took care to not damage walls and doors as they hauled out the old and brought in the new stuff. Very professional looking installation. The electricians came in just when they were needed to complete the hook ups and run through the system. I would not hesitate to contact this company and will use them for maintenance going forward.
