chimney caps, chimney repair
 + 0 moreEverything went as Dwayne said. There were no surprises and unlike the others, he did not ask me to climb unto the roof!! He had a digital camera to show what was wrong. I was very pleased. His worker was nice too.
Description of Work: I had my chimney rebuilt, new flashing, and a new rim {called a cap, i think)and water repellent to the chimney. My old chimney was crumbling. I got 3 estimates, this was the most reasonable and Dwayne was so nice and friendly.

 + 0 moreThe chimney looks great. I knew that I needed tuckpointing, but after Duane inspected, it turned out the chimney was more damaged than I realized. He was honest about what I should definitely take care of and what could wait. I chose to have him repair everything and am very satisfied. I wasn't home when they did the work and I couldn't even tell anyone had been there (except for the newly repaired chimney). Duane followed up and inspected the job personally. I'm confident I will not need any more chimney work for some time.
Description of Work: Tuckpointing on 90% of chimney, replaced chimney cap, repaired flue, and installed stainless steel rain cap.

 + -1 moreHE WASN'T VERY DILIGENT IN HIS WORK. AT ONE POINT, HE WAS ACROSS THE STREET TALKING TO A NEIGHBOR. I ASKED HIM TO REPLACE 75% OF ALL THE CRACKS IN THE FOUNDATION, AND HE DID ABOUT 50%. THE WORKMANSHIP WAS VERY POOR. HE SAID HE WOULD COME BACK, AND HE NEVER DID. HE STARTED BEING VERY NICE, AND THEN, WHEN WE ASKED HIM ABOUT FINISHING THE WORK, HE WAS VERY RUDE AND TOLD ME THAT I WAS BEING TOO PICKY. HIS CONTRACT WAS VERY VAGUE, BUT WHAT HE TOLD ME WAS VERY SPECIFIC. HE DIDN'T STICK TO WHAT HE TOLD ME. HE TOLD ME HE WOULD COME BACK AND HASN'T DONE SO.
