Very professionally handled from start to finish. Bryon was on-time, completed the work quickly, did a very thorough job of clean-up, and took the time to explain all the work once it was complete.

Paul Chmielewski arrived promptly at 7:30 am; that is the first major plus with Current. They are always on time. He was friendly, trustworthy, and an efficient worker. He gave me economical options and advice that eased my concerns. Paul explained the work he was doing and encouraged me to observe. I have recommended Current Electric to a friend who is very particular about contractors. He is committed to using them on another project. They provided the estimate on site, before work began. This allowed me to make decisions within my budget. I am very impressed with this company and Paul.

I hired this company due to their reputation on The List, and I was not disappointed! The work was done in a timely and professional manner. Paul kept us up to date about the 'goings on' and was very aware and respectful of the fact he was conducting his business in our home. Matter of fact, our raunchy painting team was in our home at the same time, and it was just hysterical to me how they differed so much in professionalism (After the painters left, Paul asked my husband and I how we were able to tolerate them... ). This company is definitely concerned with putting the customer first, and I would recommend them highly.

Work was completed in timely and quality fashion for the agreed upon amount and within the agreed upon time frame. Workman was helpful, friendly, and skilled.

Job 1: Excellent - electrician was on time, very thorough, polite and efficient with time. The company has an up front pricing policy which was very helpful. We will use them again. Job 2: Impressive service, from scheduling the times to completion. The electrician was competent, personable, cleaned up when finished with work, appropriately called me at work with questions, etc. One of the nicest features of working with the business is their upfront pricing of all work.

Prompt. Seemed knowledgeable. Price far too high for minimal work done. I would consider using or recommending Current again only if a price adjustment were made.

He was so patient! I have an older home and he did a lot of hunting and troubleshooting on my home. He rewired some lights so that they would work and restored the electricity. Great work!

It was a good experience from start to finish.

They came out the next day, and the electrician was in and out in an hour. We had called at 4:45 pm and they were here by noon. Very friendly, took extra effort to not track water into the house. Will definitely call them for future needs.

Rick came out right after I called (thank goodness!) and did some troubleshooting to determine that one of my wires in an outlet had come loose and the connection was broken. He fixed the connection and installed a GFI outlet for me. He also noticed some loose wires for a garbage disposal (that was never installed)under my sink and he put them safely in a box for me. He was very friendly, efficient and thorough. I would definitely use this company again!

Serviceman showed up promptly and performed all work in a very efficient manner. He was very pleasant, neatly attired and helpful.

I called this company because it was the #1 Angie's list award winner. Rick came over to give us an estimate to install a new circuit, circuit breaker for a garbage disposal and to replace 6 existing light switches with new switches which I supplied. My problem is that he wanted $135 to replace each switch. Now, I don't know what they charge hourly, I was able to install each switch in about five minutes. I feel this price was extremely excessive and we declined the service. I would suggest that when calling Current Electric to ask if their work is charged at an hourly rate.

We have used Current Electric several times and Rick in particular. Like all the other jobs he has done for us this was another excellent result. Rick pulled a 240V line from our box across the basement and to the sunroom. He also installed an electronic thermostat...I supplied the baseboard heaters and the thermostat.

They set up a time for two weeks out. I called them the day of the job at 7:30 am (I was supposed to be second for the day). They told me they had tried to call me the day before to cancel. They didn't really give me a good reason why they needed to cancel. This was unprofessional.

Extremely well. We were worried we would need to replace the whole circuit breaker, but Paul and Jim were well informed regarding codes and what was required. We had a lot of work done because we just moved in, but they broke down each section by price in case we only wanted to do a few items. Everything was great- a great experience in an area of home repair that can be a big headache! We will call them again to add some outlets around the house.

This is a very efficient company. I called, got a live person on the phone, and was able to schedule an electrician to come the following morning. He took 1.75 hours to complete the job, and the charge of $143 was for labor and materials. I thought the price was a bit steep, but I did not have time to canvass and wanted to just go with the quick service that they were able to provide. I have a feeling electrical service really costs that much, and I was happy enough to get things done so quickly and efficiently.

The electrician did exactly what I asked him to do. He also made recommendations for upgrading my electrical service in the future, which I appreciate. I plan on using Current Electric in the future.

Calling and scheduling an electrician was a very easy and nice process. They seem to really stick to the schedule. The electrician (Lee) was very prompt and had all the materials necessary to do the job in his truck. He had a clean appearance and he quickly assessed the situation, we discussed what the options were and what was needed (e.g., moving stuff that would be in the way, what was going to stay the same and what was going to be different). The work was done correctly and quickly, removed old electrical materials, pulled wires, installed outlet and circuit breaker. The outlet was quality material, placed nicely with attention to the aesthetics (e.g., clear caulk was used to seal) and the current was appropriately set for outdoor use.

The electrician was prompt, polite and reviewed all costs up front, there were no surprises or hidden charges.

I had a light go haywire and throw sparks and smoke across the ceiling in our upper story. Having two small children in the home, who made it difficult for me to be free ,to evaluate the level of emergency, I called Current. The ''receptionist'' was knowledgeable enough to tell me to check if the breaker had thrown, it wasn't, so I threw it, and told me that someone would be out that afternoon. I called the fire department to make sure, that there was no fire smoldering in the attic (there wasn't), and believe it or not, their electricians arrived within 20 minutes, of the fireman's departure. Paul and Dan were extremely sweet and helpful. They checked the light and the breaker, to find out why it didn't switch off, and the fire alarm, to find out why the heck, it didn't go off. It was unhooked, so they checked all the alarms in the house and found one bad, on the same story! I ran to the store and bought a new one, a fixture, and they installed them both. A+++ with extra credit.

The electrician assigned to the project was very punctual for the installation of the wiring before the drywall went in. He was very professional and helpful throughout the project. We made many changes and additions to the original plan which nearly doubled the price, and we failed to ask for documentation of all the changes to confirm a clear understanding. It was very difficult to get on their schedule to finish after drywall was in, but when they finally were able to schedule a return they were on-time. This company charges an hourly rate, so the final price was a significant surprise. Other electricians we have worked with in the past charged flat rates per light/switch etc., so you knew exactly what the cost would be. Many of the changes were done incorrectly, including switched outlets that shouldn't be, and lights on the wrong switches. Because they charge hourly, and there were no change orders we are stuck with the errors unless we pay further hours to fix the items.

The serviceman was a gentleman, timely on his arrival and got the job done in good time. I really do not know if I could have gotten a better price since I did not bid out the job, but I know the serviceman did a terrific job, was responsive to my questions, cleaned up and was just a very decent person in trying to be as helpful as possible.

WE CHOSE CURRENT ELECTRIC AFTER ANOTHER ANGIE'S LIST CONTRACTOR FAILED TO SHOW UP, OR CALL. WE ARE VERY PLEASED WITH THE QUALITY WORKMANSHIP. OUR APPOINTMENT TIME WAS SET FOR 7:30 AM. BYRON HUYCKE RANG OUR BELL AT 7:28 AM. VERY PUNCTUAL.

I expected better service after reading all the good reports. After receiving an estimate from another Angie's List company, I called Current for second estimate. They told me they could send someone who could give an estimate & if approved start the work the same day. With this option a decline would mean a trip charge. I went for it knowing the good reports. We were his 1st stop. He arrived a half hour late & gave us an estimate over $400 more than the 1st company. After calling in, he was told to match the price. We accepted. Once done they said the city inspector had to approve their work. The inspector did not approve & sent them info on work to be corrected. On return they did not follow simple instructions written. Inspector failed them again. After another trip to correct issues I had to call them over a week later to check status & see if they had called the inspector to return. He came the next week & approved. 7.5 weeks to complete. Experience was not what I expected.

They came promptly and didn't charge me too much for the small job. I didn't know what they were doing, and they could have charged me a lot for it. They were very friendly and gave an Angie's List discount.
