The gentleman who arrived at my house was punctual and friendly. He was very knowledgeable and knew exactly how to tackle this job as it was a bit tricky due to the steep roof peak and the limited space to install this fan. The job turned out well and I am very pleased. I have used Current Electric for other electrical projects and have always been satisfied with their work. I will surely use them again in the future.

Excellent service. I had been waiting for several days for another electrician to be available to check out the problem. I joined Angie's List and found Current Electric - they were able to rearrange customers and come to my home within an hour of my call. Diagnosed and replaced faulty circuit breaker within minutes.

They were efficient, polite and very smart. They were good problem solvers, fair and clean.

Current Electric sent Jim who arrived exactly at the scheduled time. He explained what he needed to do and the best estimate he could give regarding time and charges. He then proceeded to check out our circuits and, within an hour, had identified the problem. He provided me with a detailed written description of his work and findings, He also identified another problem and provided a detailed written estimate. He also offered to contact WE Energies before providing me with a clean copy and updated estimate of this additional work. I have not received that additional information but expect to get it soon. I could not be more pleased with the work done. It actually would have cost $200, but I was able to take advantage of their Angies List Offer of receiving $200 of service for $99.

Pros: Arrived on time, friendly technician, very thorough explanation of problem. Cons: Came out to fix an outlet that wasn't getting electricity and also asked to add a switch to some basement lights. At the time of the visit it was explained to me that the "Diagnostic Fee" covers figuring out what the problem is and any labor up to 1 hour of time. Our outlet problem was identified and fixed in about 20 minutes. However I payed the full diagnostic fee for this and was told that the labor for putting in the switch was separate. In my mind, paying for an hour of work should be an hour of work. The fact that the solution to our problem was relatively simple should not penalize us. I could absolutely understand having a minimum charge for the effort of coming out to the house, but since we were having other work done I would expect any left over time be applied to that work. I called the company to clarify and they confirmed that is their policy. I asked about hourly fees and they said they could technically do that but diagnostic fees allow them to give a firm price up front for more complicated problems. The person who answered the phone didn't seem particularly concerned with my concern, or the fact that I prefered to take my business elsewhere. Despite the generally good work, I would not use them again because of this.

The appointment was set for 7;30 AM and Chris called me around 7:25 to let me know he had encountered traffic and might be about ten minutes late. That was no big deal for me and I appreciated the courtesy call. Once he saw the outlet with a burn mark and he told he would need to run a diagnostic test to determine the source of the problem. This added to the cost but I am glad he suggested it and I followed his recommendation. He then performed the work described above He educated me on safety related issues and future services I will need. I was very pleased with Chris and the experience and fell reassured about safety of my electrical system.

Very professional service. The person was very nice, and I really appreciated the estimate before work began. And I passed my follow-up inspection the following week with flying colors. I did not comparison shop for price, but I felt the price was very fair considering the amount of tasks and how long they took (and my general view that fixing anything in my house is going to cost me about $1,000). I did buy the coupon offered on Angies' List ($200 of work for $109), which was of great help. Thanks Current!

They gave me two different ways to do it and the cost estimations on both. I was able to take the cheaper way and it was just as good as the other way. Any way to save me money I am happy about! They were on time, very good at explaining everything to me, and giving me a choice on how I wanted the work done. He saved me money and he was very good at giving me estimates on work I plan to have done later. Being a customer that has used them before I will get a break on that, which I am happy about.

The job went very well, he was on time, he completed the job in a timely manor. Very happy with their work, I will be calling them back for additional work. They even provided a coupon for their next visit.

We needed to have our ancient doorbell and transformer replaced. We have also wanted a whole house surge protector for several years. We saw the special deal on Angie's list for "Buy it now" whole house surge protector if we also had an system upgrade. We did not need the system upgrade and I told them that when we called. They gave us the deal with a whole electrical system inspection. Deric did a thorough inspection, even checking things we told him other electricians had fixed. He listed several issues like the 2 garage outlets that were not GFCIs. Then, he asked us if we had any questions or issues. We did inform him that at one time the microwave was on a dedicated circuit. Somewhere along the line some electrician changed that and when we used the microwave, toaster, and coffee maker we blew the circuit. He checked that and stated that the whole kitchen was back on one breaker. So he quoted us a price to fix it and we said yes. He also changed the outlets in the garage to GFCI's. He was willing to do whatever work we needed done at the time he was here. Since there is a $45 trip charge, that was appreciated. Deric also listed the cost of all the suggestions he made so when we are ready to have that work done, we know the cost. Deric was polite, knowledgeable, and as a master electrician, he gave us a lot of information.

It went very well. I was given an estimate for future work that may be needed.

I bought the 109 for 200 electrician special to fix two things that were plaguing me for 10 years - a 3 way hall light that only worked one way. They were there on time reviewed the items I need corrected them in the cost of the coupon. He then took the time to review my electrical panel and give me a quote - good for a year - if I want to get the panel corrected. Great service will use them again.

.They were good and I was happy with the work they did for me. I would use them again if I need their service.

Poorly. First visit he came to fix a kitchen light and said it needs anew transformer. A week later with the new transformer in place, the light would not turn ON, and then spent 3 hr trying to find the problem which with an hourly rate cost way more than a light fixture. Basically a rip-off.

When I called company to set up appt, person answering phone was knowledgable, pleasant, and helpful. Appt set for two days later at time convenient for me. Electrician called before arrival to let me know he was coming. Was pleasant and knowledgable. Listened to me, examined problem areas, and explained my options. Gave estimate of work that he would do and cost. Completed work in timely manner. Went thru basement with me after work performed to make sure all was done as needed and according to his estimate. Very good service. I feel I have finally found an electrician I can count on and will be using this company again if needed.

We’ve used them a couple of times for electrical work. We are going to have them back to do some more work. They have been around for a while. They did a very good job and the price was pretty good. They didn't run up the price.

The service was very good. The man was here on time and did the work. He cleaned everything we asked him to do. He is good.

They are one of the best electrical groups around for this area. They are competitively priced. I feel they could have been more careful in my home. They used an electric drill to install the blades and chipped the paint on the blades. If someone was to call I would advise them to specify the construction area and make sure they are careful.

The service was exceptional. I will hire Current Electric again and recommend them to others. They were professional, timely, and answered all of my questions. They paid attention to the details. The power needed to be shut off for part of day as expected; I was pleasantly surprised with how proactive they were with not letting it get too cold in the house for the kids and I. (The work was done in late December). They were careful when coming in and out of the house to keep it clean. They labeled things in a way that I can easily understand. They asked for my input when decisions needed to be made along the way and made sure I understood everything prior to leaving. I was a bit intimidated going into the job based on my lack of knowledge of electrical systems, but they took to time to make sure I know what I have and how it all works. That increased confidence feels great.

The promptness and courtesy by both workers was deeply appreciated. I helped the electrician remove the existing flourescent fixture prior to the apprentice arriving at he house.They worked quickly and knew what to do to make the finished installation look great. They were careful to discard boxes and other debris. I offered to bring up my vacuum from my basement for the final cleanup and we did agree it was more powerful than theirs. However I was left to do that portion of the final cleanup by myself. The level of neatness and readability of the paperwork could have been a bit better. Overall the job was very good.

This is Deric's third time coming to our house and he is always friendly, professional and resourceful. He allows me to ask questions and understand what work is being done and allows me to understand in non-electrician terms. Deric is prompt and works in an efficient manner. I was also able to take advantage of the $99 for $200 deal provided by Angies List....which is a HUGE WIN!!!!

This is the company you want to call if you have any kind of electrical project, they are fabulous! First of all they are Journeymen Electricians, there is a difference in having someone who has been trained in electrical installation work and Current Electric has highly skilled employees. However their rates are extremely reasonable and they are very prompt and fast about being able to start working on your project. The quality of their work is excellent and they are very, very careful working in and around your house. My project included upgrading two circuit panels and my local building inspector was extremely impressed with the quality of their work. My electrical project passed the electrical inspection with flying colors! But what I would really like you to know is how extremely accommodating Current Electric has been in working with me on my duplex renovation project. I have a budget and have been scheduling all the trades myself. First of all everyone at Current, all the electricians have been terrific to work with from day one. And what I appreciate the most is when I have run into a snag on my project then Derek and the other Electricians have been there to correct the issue and offer their professional expertise right away. They are great on small projects and even better if you have a big project like mine.

In November I had a strong wind that knocked out the power in my home. I called one electrician recommended by a local home improvement store who’s work, as it turned out was never finished. I then called Current Electric to finish the work of the other electrician. They refused to provide a permit for me, and the individual employee who came to my house, Jim, consistently lied to me, and never did any work. At one point he sat out in his van for four hours talking on the phone. I would never recommend this company and can't imagine working with them in the future.

An excellent experience overall. Will use again.
