I wasn't able to be at home when the technician came so I only have this report through my partner and my conversation with the company supervisor. We have used this company many times and have been very happy with their services. So we were looking forward to this time. It did not turn out as well. There was miscommunication/misunderstanding around what could be done and how much it would cost. We ended up with a much larger bill than expected. The company reps were polite and professional when I called them to address the situation, but we were not satisfied with how things ended up. We'll probably go with someone else next time.

The installation went fine but their pricing was ridiculous. I purchased the $99 for $200 of service deal. I was thinking that the $200 in services I purchased would be more than enough to cover the installation of a ceiling fan. I was wrong as they told me this service would cost $410. $410 for 2 hours of work seems ridiculous to me. I wouldn't have went through with the service but I felt trapped since I already paid the $99 that had to be used.

Fabulous.. Dan suggested installing dimmer switches which we didn't think of originally.. The options for selective mood lighting are now endless, thanks to Dan's suggestion. We have more work to do in our home. We will definately call Dan at Current to do the work. They are extremely professional, responsive and trustworthy.

I would hire this company again. As a new home owner it was great to have someone come to my home and assist with things that are still new and unknown to me.

Derek called about 15 minutes before he arrived right at the time agreed upon. He slipped on booties and checked out the two rooms where the fans needed to be switched. He asked a lot of questions about the age of the house and the installation of the fans before he started. This was a good thing because if he had opened up the electrical and found that the boxes were out of code and needed to be replaced it would have been another $200 per fan. The boxes had been installed correctly and well after the house was built so we were good there. Derek covered the beds with drop cloths before he started. He had no problem doing the change over and was there about two hours. He fixed the wiring on the one fan so that the light worked at the switch and the fan from the cord rather than the other way around (stupid previous electrician - really?). We bought a deal that gave us $200 of time for $100 so it was a great price. However, the $200 for the two fans is about the going rate so they are not the cheapest guys around. But I think you get what you pay for usually so I would use them again and would definitely recommend them.

If we ever call an electrician it's always them. They arrive on time, they do the work we ask them to do. Sometimes they do even more work if something comes up. By the way while your here can you look at this? They almost always do.

They were great - very professional. They respected our home and installed the lights I had purchased at Home Depot. Yes, overall it was more then I wanted to pay but their service and quality is really great.

It was fine. They took care of it and it didn't take them too long. Everything was good. They were professional.

Jim, the Service specialist arrived promptly and immediately introduced himself and gave me his business card. He listened to my problems, then explained what he would have to do to fix them. He explained charges we agreed on the work. he promptly completed the work and explained things to me as he went along. We discussed other electrical things in the house and he made suggestions which eventually led to him writing up and estimate for future services. I have very happy with his professionalism, friendliness and his skills. I will use this company again and will schedule the job for the suggestions he gave me.

Arrived and quickly tackled all the problems. He kept in communication while working and seemed highly competent and friendly. Price for one person -five and a half hours of work: We paid over 800 and minimal materials were involved. This service was provided with a --200 worth of services for 99-- coupon, so this means the company charge was $900+. The bill was not itemized. They have a per service rather than a per hour charge--but the bill doesn't itemize these services out. This means the electrician charge was over 150/hour. Nice job, but way way too spendy. We wonder if the coupon did save us any money. Although the bill indicates the coupon--it doesn't show charges for each job--so we feel the bill obfuscates the charges. It's hard to get service providers to show up on time and competently do their job, so we recognize the value in not having any headache-inducing irresponsibility added to our lives. Still, we probably would not call again because of the very high charges.

Quoted me $545 to install a ceiling fan. Also wanted to add a $45 trip charge. Comparable quotes could do the work for $300. Therefore, between their over quote by $145 and the $45 trip charge, it devalued my $99 for $200 worth of serve to only $10. I feel this was no deal at all but rather a ruse to do the work at no added value. Not to mention my original $99. I would like a refund of the deal. Thank you.

Bob, the master electrician, finished the work (above) professionally, courteously and in short order. In addition, he provided valuable suggestions for other electrical work which we will undertake in the future. He tested the electrical system to determine if the wiring was updated, properly grounded and examined an additional kitchen and TV outlet to determine that it was in working order. Current Electric contacted us within two days of buying the Angie's List coupon and arranged the date of the work to suit our schedule. We are very happy with their service.

Dan was on time and extremely professional. He explained the process of what was going to do and asked me to show him areas that I needed work on. We talked about other things that we had planned down the road as well and he actually told me about some technology that I didn't know existed. Apparently, there is a way to turn your lights on via remote control when you get home so you (or the kids) don't have to walk into a dark house! I thought that kind of technology was only through expensive equipment. Anyway, Dan really took the time to discuss all my concerns and really understood the bigger picture as well as the reason I had hired them in the first place. He then took some time to come up with some different quotes for the jobs we talked about, big and small and presented all the options to me. I really appreciated the information! I only ended up getting the outlet fixed on that particular day but I would certainly hire Current Electric again!

Great experience from scheduling of job to actual work being performed. Derek was punctual, polite, knowledgable, and professional. Explained everything he was doing and was very thorough. Could not ask for more. Completely satisfied

It went very well, however at this time I can't afford the cost, however when I do I should be calling them back to provide the service.

I called at 9am spoke to the receptionist and told her the issues I was having and asked how soon a person could come out - I expected to be told at least a day or two, maybe more. I was put on hold for a minute and when she came back on told me that someone would be out this afternoon and I would get a call back with a name and time of arrival. By noon I had a call telling me who was coming and that they would be there in 45 min. He was prompt, professional (even put on booties over his shoes each and every time he came and went from the house). He explained to me the issues he found, how he would fix them and gave me the estimate. About and hour and a half later the work was complete. He then walked me through everything he did prior to leaving. As for the cost, I think it was a little high but I they made it out in a day did everything I needed and there were no hassles. So for that I don't mind paying a little more. Overall very satisfied with the work done and would consider them again.

Excellent. He found something in there that could have given me a problem that could cause me to lose heat this winter and fixed it. This is the 2nd time he has been out and I want him for my permanent repair man.

They came out to our house right on time. After accessing the job they gave me a quote for both fans and I gave them authorization to get to work. They were very professional and clean. They covered there boots and put drop clothes down to catch any dust etc. They were in and out in about 4 hours and took all the trash and boxes with them. I haven't had any electrical work done in a while so I was a little shocked by the price but I think they were at least fair. I would recommend this company and will use them again.

was on time and very good price for all we needed not only do I plan to use them again. I am going to call on Monday because of some other issues that I need taken care of.
