My experience turned out great. They were flexible with their time and we had no issues with scheduling. They still honored the deal even when it was expired, which was nice.

Over the weekend I began having trouble with my garage door. The breaker for the garage door kept going out and every time I would flip it back my lights and electricity would stay on for a moment and by the time I was about to close the garage door the power was out again. Current Electric (CE)responded promptly to my electronic inquiry via Angie's List. I chose CE because one, they had a member's discount; two, CE had a competitive service charge; and three, they were able to respond to me the quickest. My issue about the service fee is that I was informed that it was $50 or so but it was reduced by the member's discount. Based on this I made the appointment. However, based on my naivete I failed to inquire about other fees, and in addition to the initial fee for CE to make the initial call it cost over $300 per hour for them to try and fix the problem. Even if this is the going rate I was never informed by CE of the hourly rate when I called which is a very important factor. I spoke to a total of 3 companies and had I known CE's rate I would have chosen another provider who did quote me an hourly rate for less. Eventually the electrician found the wire causing the short and cut it so I would be able to utilize my garage and would not have a fire hazard. Unfortunately, in the amount of time he could not identify the source. I learned later that the wire was connected to my outdoor light so now I do not have light outside. Initially I was looking for assistance with multiple projects and this was a test run but the failure to disclose all fees left a bad taste in my mouth. Once they were in my home and I was already on the hook for the initial service fee I was very reluctant to just tell them good-bye and start over despite feeling somewhat deceived. Despite the rate issue, the responding electrician was timely and courteous.

Dan was so extremely helpful. I have never had better service in my life. He went above and beyond what the initial call was for and never made me feel stupid for asking questions. I am so grateful that I chose Current Electric.

I had no idea what my confused tenant did to the brand new washing machine I have in the basement of my duplex. I had tried to reset the circuit breaker myself but it still didn't work and it was the middle of our cold winter. So I call someone I can always count on, Current Electric who sent Bob out on the service call. I really appreciated the quick service but also the honesty of the electrician Bob who could of sold me anything but did not, instead he showed me that the washing machine also had a circuit breaker of sorts that needed to also be reset and in fact the outlet was fine. This is the kind of excellent service and honesty that you can count on from Current Electric

This time Deric was at my condo doing a great job as usual. Fast, friendly and professional I can always count on Current Electric and their electrician Deric to do a great job. I would recommend them to anyone who needs good electrical work done, at a fair price from a great company. Thank you Deric!

I had used Current Electric in the past to install some additional basement lights and a ceiling fan. This was the biggest electrical job they've done for me to date and once again I wasn't disappointed. They removed the original system with care. They installed the new system quickly and professionally. They took the time to show me where the new lines were running and how the new transformer/timer worked. These guys did an awesome job!

Keenan did an excellent job in all aspects of the work We would definitely hire Current again and request that Keenan do the work.

It was great and we were very happy with it. They sent one person out to do the inspection. He got the job done in about 2 hours. They handled the scheduling very nicely.

One of the best positive reviews one can give is to use the company again. In January 2014, I had Current Electric perform a number of electric solutions including correcting a tripping problem I had with my dishwasher, and a problem with a toggle switch in my upstairs hall light; all was done above beyond my expectations. When I needed a replacement light installed at my backdoor I had no hesitation to contract with Current Electric again on 5/5/14. The work was well done, quickly and I am very satisfied with the work that Deric from Current Electric did. He was polite and knowledgeable. I will not hesitate to use this company again.

They were okay, fairly priced and I didn't spend more than the Big Deal price. However, they were a little bit late. I have my usual electrician so I will probably not use them again in the future.

I called and asked for an electrician to come out and look at a 220 volt line to an unused laundry room to evaluate it and bring it up to code so the buyers could use it for their laundry room. Because this was part of a real estate transaction, I needed rapid service, but also needed a first in the morning appointment. I got an appointment just a few days later. The electrician was very friendly, seemed knowledgeable and completed the work in about 45 minutes. He wrote up the paperwork as I needed it done right then and I received the lien waiver about a week later.

Dan & Alec did a great job. Dan was very easy to work with and had great ideas how to use the latest fixtures and dimmer/remote technology to give the space improved lighting and functional convenience. Dan's recommendation on using copper trims for the small halogen cans for the living room lannon stone fireplace wall blends in well with the wood ceiling and matches the copper finish on the fireplace itself. Both Dan and Alec came out prior to our drywall ceiling remodeling work to remove the old light fixtures and rough-in the new fixtures. After the drywall work was done, Dan came out to finish up. There was no difficulty scheduling them around the drywall installation.

The work got done. They have a strange way of doing business and I would not be doing business with them again. There was a different rate. Basically, what they did is they quoted me something. They came out and looked at things at a high level and gave us a quote. If the work is less, I still had to pay that amount but if the work is more, I had to pay more. I think it's a bad business model. I paid more than what the original purchase was. I already bought the deal before I understood how they were going to charge for it. It's already gone and I couldn't get it back because it's not how it works. I decided to go along with it and it ended up costing me more than I expected it to. They should put a disclaimer on how they charge for their work. If people knew that, they wouldn't have them come out. If I have known that, I would have never purchase that. The person was nice. He was very professional.

The one thing i really like about them is they upfront show you charges for work done. thery are no sur[irse. He gave me a price and the final price was half that. In the past i've used them and the same thing happens, the price is agreed upon and there are no surprises. Sometimes its even less than orignally quoted. They also follow up with a card or phone call after work is done which shows they care about quality.

They showed up on time and was very conscientious. He did the work that we asked plus some. He was just very patient with us. He just did a good job. He met all of our expectations.

OK. Had to negotiate a bit but the electrician was reasonable.

Everything went well except the installation of the ceiling fan. Unfortunately, we purchased a ceiling fan that was not mountable directly to the ceiling and required a hanging pole to be installed with the fan. With this pole the ceiling fan hung dangerously low from the ceiling especially since I am a tall person. The electrician had met with me a few times prior to the installation of this fan but proceeded to install the fan before calling us to verify the height of the fan being ok. We got home from work and were not happy that they installed the fan and asked them to return and remove the fan and put up a different model. In my opinion they made a mistake and should have fixed the issue at no charge but they charged us a $100 service fee to remove the low hanging fan and install the new model. I thought they did an ok job resolving the issue but wish they would have done it for free.

Tom was the service person. When he didn't have a switchplate in his truck that matched the wall, he had one brought to him.

It was quite a while before I called them and they were still willing to honor the coupon. They were able to come out just a couple of days after I called them to complete the work. There were no additional fees beyond the cost of the deal. The deal with them worked out very well.

Everything went well. It took a little longer than expected because of some trouble navigating the walls of an older home. It was very expensive for the complete job, but I think that is generally the case when dealing with electricians.

The electrician did a fine job - it was a little more complicated than I thought it would be. The outlet had been installed surrounded by the brickwork in the fireplace, and was a hassle to replace with something that would be sturdy. But that was done - and it's still working well and in its rightfully installed place.
