Description of Work: Coakley Brothers is a first class operation. They provided us with an accurate estimate of our move to Atlanta from Milwaukee, and, we found that to be the case in moving. Their packers did an excellent job of packing up our household goods. In fact, when they discovered that they would not be able to finish their job of packing before their driver came, they called in additional personnel to complete it. Although we expected an additional charge for the additional packers, this was not the case. Coakley Brothers stuck to their original estimate of the charge per pound. Not only would I use this company again, but I would recommend them to anyone and everyone.

Description of Work: Moved our household from Wauwatosa to Waukesha. Had to leave items on truck overnight due to the timing of our closings. Every aspect of the move went smoothly, the crew handled everything very carefully. I would strongly recommend them to anyone planning a move.

Description of Work: They moved my home from Racine, WI to Hopkins, MN, a suburb of Minneapolis. I discovered that moving companies have a pool of independent contractors that do the work. These people own their own trucks and are not direct employees of Allied or Coakley Brothers. That being said the man who moved me, Dane, was very experienced and professional, he and his 2 man crew did a very good job moving me. Dane told me he does a large percent of Coakley's residential moves. My wife and I did most of the packing. There was no damage to my furniture. Coakley's salesperson was very professional and their price (after the salesman applied a significant percent discount) was the lowest of 3 that I got.

+ -1 moreThis company made the move as easy as possible for me. The office kept me informed of the timetable and any changes were communicated immediately. The driver called a couple of times to let me know where he was and when he expected to be in San Diego. The guys were completely professional and careful with my belongings. I highly recommend their services.
Description of Work: This company packed my entire house and shipped all to San Diego in 8 days. Everything was carefully packed and large items were dismantled for shipping and reassembled upon arrival. Everything arrived without damage or loss. I got three estimates for this move and Coakley Bros. was the one in the middle.

+ -1 moreThe movers, a crew of about 5, arrived on time, got to work immediately and the whole crew hustled, moving multiple boxes at once, were careful with furniture, were generally friendly and polite. While they loaded their truck, we were still packing more boxes. They asked around mid-afternoon if that was all and my husband said ok. When they delivered to the new house the next day, we both observed that some of the crew only took items into the garage rather than into the house even when items were clearly marked or we told them where to go. When I returned 3 days later with him to do more packing, I found the oriental carpet in the dining room still on the floor, furniture and boxes around the house. I had been generally pleased with the movers up to this point, except for the unwillingness to take boxes on into the house. We had fed them and were generous with tips and I had expected better of them.
Description of Work: This was a residential move from Milwaukee to Appleton, WI, from a two story house with a full basement and attic to a ranch with attached garage and full basement. They arrived and loaded the truck over a span of perhaps 6 hours, and delivered the following morning, putting in about 4 hours.
