The serviceman was very gracious, thorough, and efficient. I thought he did a really good job. They came out the next day after I called them. I was scheduled for him to come at noon and he called to ask if he could come early. That was really excellent. I'm even thinking of switching to them to service our furnace.

Very well. Kurt was on time. He took the time he needed to figure out what was wrong with our units, gave us options and charged us fairly.

This company is great, they installed a money saving unit in our home and made sure we were satisfied even coming out to install some air pumps at no extra charge. They are very flexible, and are willing to work with our busy schedule.

Doug Erdmann showed up for the estimate on time and spent quite a bit of time explaining the different types of equipment available and the rebates & tax credits that were available. He even sent us a Thank You card after the visit. We decided to have him do the work and he gave us plenty of notice as to when the work would be done. His crew was very business like and friendly and took pains to ensure that the installation was done properly and all in one day even though it was somewhat a more trying installation for them. They cleaned up fairly well after themselves. We were provided with a full demo on how to operate the thermostat and the crew answered all of our other questions. The air duct cleaning was an add-on and was handled with great efficiency. Everything in the house was put back into order when he completed the job. All in all, I am very pleased with Burkhardt. Doug even encouraged us to pay via credit card if we had any cards that gave us miles/rewards.

We smelled gas in the basement and determined that it was coming from the boiler, which was off (except the pilot was lit). We have a service contract with Burkhardt so we called and a technician came out the same day. The technician determined the source of the leak and fixed it. He also secured the thermostat wire. We have been very pleased with Burkhardt's service and have been using the company since shortly after we purchased the house in 2001.

On a very cold Saturday in January, my furnace went out. Everyone is closed, and Burkhardt was the only one who listed an emergency number. The service man answered right away and was to my house within the hour. He identified the problem and fixed it in no time. Very nice man.

Steve vacuumed the furnace, took parts out and rinsed and dried them, took the flame sensor out and cleaned it off, and my furnace has been working fine since. Steve was here Monday afternoon and it is now Friday night. And on top of doing the tune-up, yesterday I received a thank you note in the mail. I would definitely recommend them to others. The one thing I wish they had was appts. after 5 or on the weekend. The price for the service call was $59.00 and the whole cost was $89.00. He also suggested that in the fall there is a part that may need to be replaced. He felt that I should make it thru the winter but I should contact them in the fall before the furnace goes back on to have it replaced.

He is careful to properly test each section of the wires before reaching the conclusion that the module is bad. Has been helpful and polite throughout. Tolerant to the fact that I've been trying to fix the furnace myself. This is a daytime house call, $60 for the house call and $320 for the work done.

These guys do great "customer." They quoted a price in the middle of the pack, but they were great at making sure that we knew how everything worked, cleaned up after themselves, offered advice on how we could improve the functioning of the vents ourselves, and didn't nickel and dime us to death. They were prompt with call-backs and on-time for appointments. They called in advance when the time changed once. They were polite and friendly at all times. We've had no problems with the new unit, so it is too soon to provide feedback on the service quality for maintenance, but I suspect it will be good.

Service was very prompt, and work was completed the same morning. The technician was knowledgeable and friendly, and answered all questions I had in a straightforward manner.

This was a very positive experience for me. Doug Erdman, the owner of Burkhardt, met with me at my house on very short notice. He presented the equipment that he was offering, and the pros and cons with the various models. I felt no pressure to have to buy the most expensive units, though that is basically what I did. We came to an agreement on the equipment and scheduled the work to take place on Thursday and Friday of the following week. That Thursday, Burkhardt's crew showed up right on schedule and got to work. I found Bill and Tom (the two installers who were there the majority of the time) very personable, professional, and eager to do the job the way I wanted. At one point I told Bill that if it was too difficult to run the intake and exhaust pipe where I hoped they could go that they should take an easier way. Bill said "That's where you want them... so that's where they should go. We brought plenty of pipe!" That attitude typifies how Burkhardt did the whole job! Thanks.

The company answers their phone promptly and schedules you promptly. They seem to know their stuff. I got confused when the man said if I gave him cash (not a check) he'd deduct the service call of $59.95, and charge me the straight $80.00 for the work. I was uncomfortable giving him cash and paid by credit card instead. So then I was charged for the entire amount of $139.95. He said he knew nothing about Angie discounts. When he left, I called the owner, Doug, and asked if I would have gotten the service $60.00 cheaper if I given the repairman cash? He thought the man offered that, because, he didn't have enough change for me if I paid $139.95. I still don't get that. However, he said they do get paid in cash a lot. I was surprised at that. He said he would give me the Angie discount of $20.00 off. They send nice Thank You cards in the mail after they come out.

Bid provided. Work scheduled promptly, showed up on time. Work quality was poor, water leaking. VERY impolite and discourteous when asked to fix, demanded extra money and said "enjoy our boiler" while it had to be turned off as it was going to flood the basement. Eventually corrected the problem with $100 additional money.

THEY WERE EXCELLENT AND RESPECTFUL OF MY PROPERTY. THEY DID THE WORK QUICKLY AND ACCURATELY. WELL BEYOND WHAT YOU WOULD EXPECT.

Steve called before he came. He arrived when I was told he would be here. He told me there was a $59 charge for the call out here and said there would be a charge for whatever he needed to do to fix the problem. (I considered this to be very fair). He looked at the furnace and discussed with me what the problems were. Then he fixed the thermostat and we discussed the furnace. The extra charge was $31.

My HVAC system stopped working and I expected to have to replace the unit. Burkhardt tech. pointed out the problem and fixed the unit instead. They were extremely professional.

They did a good job, clearing our vents without leaving a mess. The repairman was very helpful, saying that several vents had been blocked because the previous owners had clearly not taken care of it.

They sent me a thank you card afterwords.

The entire project by Burkhardt was outstanding. Although I realize this is a very busy time of year in the heating business, Doug came by in only a few days from my initial phone call. He called back later the same day to give me a verbal quote, which was very reasonable (I had also estimated the amount of materials and labor in the job.) So, I accepted the quote and Burkhardt began only a couple of days later. After the first full day of work with two guys on site, the project had to stop to allow me to mount one of the radiators. When I completed this task myself a week later, the same two guys showed up the NEXT DAY to finish the job. Wow. After years of working with various construction and service groups, these guys really stand out on time management, responsiveness, and quality of work. The two guys that actually performed the job were very professional and very personable. I highly recommend a phone call to Doug for this type of work.

Burkhardt heating came out to simply light a pilot light. The job took all of 5 minutes. The service man decided to run me through our boiler system. Since we paid to have him there for a half hour, he felt that we should get our money's worth. So, he took the time to show us how to flush out the system, adjust each individual radiator and gave us tips on how to keep our boiler clean.

Doug was very helpful. He suggested a new compressor instead of a new air conditioner unit which a previous business suggested. He was very honest and saved us a lot of money. He could have pushed an air conditioner and made more profit. The price was very good compared with another dealer. Everything went well with the installation.

They come every year and service my air conditioning. They are very good. This time I asked for a specific person. I called on the 17th and they were here on the 19th.

Their quoting process was quick and accurate. I was given their pricing over the phone. Joel was our service man. He was on time, highly professional and very nice. He took the time to explain the process to me and even followed up a few days later with some additional information I had requested.
