When I made the appointment, they were very accomodating to my work schedule. When the gentleman arrived he went into the basement and about 1/2 later came up with a report. He did the tune-up and the saffety inspection and said that our furnace was fine. No issues, no safety concerns. Usaually when a company does a tune-up or safety inspection they find many things that are wrong and make you feel afraid if you do not get them done immediately. He said that being that the furnace is 20 years old, we might be having some problems in the future, but not now. I will defintely call them when and if something does go wrong with my furnace

The office manager called the day before to confirm the appointment, and then Rick (the tech) called on his way out. Rick was on time, and was very professional. He worked efficiently, and then explained everything to me afterwards. I would definitely use them again.

Arrived on time ,finished on time, cleaned up after themselves and removed and disposed of the old furnace. I experienced a couple of minor problems after the initial installation but they were quick to respond to my concern and did not charge for the service call.

Completed work professionally. Prompt. Knowledgeable. Honest appraisal of condition of furnace. Did not try to sell us anything we did not need.

I have come to expect excellent service and professionalism from Burkhardt's and was not disappointed.

He was really thorough and showed up on time. He explained everything that needed to be done. He did not complete the actually work recommended though as it required additional costs. I will be having them back in the future for the repairs though.

We recently bought a new house and wanted to hire someone to check and clean our gas boiler. After the company who serviced the house in the past didn't respond to my call, I called Burkhardt based on Angie's List reviews. I called on a Saturday and they sent someone out on Monday. I was very impressed by that. I wasn't home when the person was here but I heard from family members that he was very nice and professional. He recommended we call a plumber to check the pipes because the city water pressure was low. Otherwise, everything was fine. My brother-in-law took a look and didn't find anything wrong. He called Burkhardt and inquired about what specifically was wrong. After they explained it to him, my brother-in-law was able to find the problem - there was a pipe that was completely clogged! He was able to replace it himself and save us the cost of a plumber but we were all so impressed by Burkhardt's serviceman for noticing the problem and probably saving our boiler. Overall, this was a great experience and we plan on using this company again.

The technician was extremely professional. Called about an hour ahead of the scheduled appointment to let me know the approximate time he would be arriving for the appointment. Then again, he called to let me know that he was 15 minutes away. Once he arrived, he went straight to work and found a few things that were not properly set up in the furnace and shared with me the findings before he began to optimize the furnace operations. Prior to leaving, he made certain that the area around the furnace was cleared of any items he used during the service call.

The service call went well. The work was done in an efficient and professional manner.

gas furnace failed stay on. service tech investigated furnace function. first he charged about $75 to check basic operation eventhough none of the parts of the furnace that he checked related to the problem. eventually he said it was either a bad gas valve or a bad circuit board. he didn't have a gas valve on the truck, but he did have a replacement circuit board ($700), so that is what he replaced. although i suspected that the problem was the circuit board, it would have been nice to try the less expensive gas valve first. since the repair, the furnace works normally.

We first met with Doug who reviewed our options with us. We qualified for a rebate from Bryant as well as a rebate from our local utility company, which made it easy to select the best furnace for our needs, which was just slightly more than the least expensive model. Doug arrived on time as did the installers, who were courteous, well informed, and gave us a thorough overview of our new furnace and thermostat. Burkhardt Heating and Air Conditioning received consistently high marks on Angie's List, and a recent Consumer Reports rated Bryant at the top of their furnace reviews, so I knew we made the right decision.

It went just great. They were wonderful. They were very prompt. They did a good job while they were here. They were very courteous. I felt very comfortable with them and I would use them again. The deal met my expectation. I would whole-heartedly recommend them.

We had to reschedule at least twice with the company and they were great about that. The tech showed up on time, was knowledgeable, and answered all of my questions. Further, options were discussed that were everything from short-term and frugal (just fix the few things, then sell the house) to long-term and expensive (a new high effenciency furnace system). Please note: he wasn't willing to say what he would do because that would mean "predicting" what would happen with the furnace. This is, in my opinion, the right thing to do and understandable. How is he to know when the thing will break down?

We had called another company to come out to look and they had told us that the furnace was failing and was end-of-life. Their recommendation was to buy a new furnace from them for $8000! Burkhardt came out same day and diagnosed a failed ignition module and repaired the problem quickly and effectively. Kurt was friendly, and explained exactly what the problem was, and had the correct part in the truck to make the repair. He was very honest and explained why the part failed and what the life expectancy may be for our 18 year old furnace and that we may start to plan for a replacement down the road. But he reassured us that the unit was in very good condition and would provide many more years of service. Burkhardt is the ONLY company you need to call. Super honest, very professional and really friendly. I will trust them with any repairs needed going forward and when it is time to replace our furnace they will get the call. Overall, I am pleased with Burkhardt Heating and their service agent Kurt -- The company always provided a courtesy call to let me know when they were scheduled to come; Kurt always called when he was on his way to my home; Kurt was informative and professional.
